Correct, Dash has optional privacy that is not much used on its network (less then 1%).
Dash privacy technology is basically Bitcoin's CoinJoin but then implemented into Dash's core and with more rounds to mix. Ironically there is currently
more CoinJoin mixing taking place on the Bitcoin network then on the Dash network.

I would classify Monero and Zcash as privacy-centric cryptocurrencies (privacy at its center / privacy its main use case) and i would classify Dash currently as a fast
and secure payment cryptocurrency with optional privacy.
