Alot of wrong in this thread.

You can mine Ethereum right now even with 2GB GPU, can be low end also like R9 270X.

I mine XMR, due to the fact of its anonymity price will keep rising on it I believe. Or sign up with like a multi x13 or such only like nicehash but I never used them so do your research. But they mine most profitable and exchange it for BTC at that time.

What should be the minimum requirements of CPU + GPU as I am also new to all this stuff but i am willing to start mining altcoins like bytecoins, monero and ethereum etc. I have a computer with nVidia 5000 quadro, any help will be appreciated.

If you want to CPU mine Bytecoin, you need AES_NI support in your CPU. But it is not profitable any way.

If you have high end R9 GPU, you can mine the Ethereum. But You need at least 4GB memory and 64 bit operating system.

If you have low end GPU, you cannot mine Ethereum. At present, it needs about 1300MB GPU memory and 4 GB system memory.

For Monero or BCN, it is better to use CPU if it has AES-NI support. For Ethereum, it is better to use GPU, but it will not work on 2GB memory GPU soon.

XMR Monero vs BCN Bytecoin vs ETH Ethereum ? Mining on CPU + low-end GPU ?

I'm thinking about 'entering' mining.
Looks like investing into ASIC's now is not profitable.

Think about start mining with several AMD APU based PC (CPU + low end GPU) looking forward to buy some AMD R9 GPU.

What way is better to enter CPU (and LE GPU)?

PS electricity almost free ))
