This is the unOfficial guide to mining XPM at yPool

If you are new to mining you should start with some basics. Like signing up at yPool.
On the left side menu bar you can click How To: and be mining on windows in about 3 minutes.
For linux you'll be up and running in 5 minutes. This guide is for the questions we get so often.
Don't forget to tip or donate to those guys who help you get started. Without people willing to share there knowledge you probably couldn't do it. More important are the developers. Without those guys those of us with technical ability and no coding ability would be dry too.

We will cover all the major questions we see so often.

First off we use yvg1900 miners. He has optimized them based on cpu architecture. We have also discovered they work almost twice as fast on CentOS than Ubuntu. If you are using Amazon AWS then use the Amazon HVM image on page 1. If you are using cc2.8xlarge you'll see 800-900cp/m

So how do you choose which miner to use?
First - What OS are you on?
There are Linux Miners and Windows Miners

Second - What CPU architecture.
If your CPU supports it, AVX is the best. Most of the intel i series do. i3 i5 i7 and most Xeon processors too. You will find a i7 and a generic AVX version.
If you do not know what your cpu is, and or you've tried another build and got "illegal instruction" you can run a program such as CPU-Z which will tell you what instruction set your CPU supports.
On linux you can run cat /proc/cpuinfo and it will give you your instruction sets.

Amazon instances support AVX.

Windows Miners
At yPool we mainly use AeroCloud miner for windows. He also provides a VERY SIMPLE guide to use the miner on Linux.
