I have xprv key from mycelium wallet exported. I am trying to recreate my 12 word seed. Is this possible?
Currently, Ethereum account doesn't have the "export account keys" option, just "archive" and "Reload account",
where'd you got that xprv key?

Normally, that xprv can only be exported when you click on the Bitcoin HD account -> menu -> Export account keys.
And that's the "BIP32 Root key" for that Bitcoin account's addresses that starts with '1'.

If you did exactly that ^ , then that backup if for your Bitcoin account with legacy addresses,
not for Ethereum, Bitcoin Native SegWit nor Bitcoin P2SH-SegWit.
You need Mycelium's "Master Seed" (12-word phrase) to restore the wallet completely.

Block halving is coming.
Thanks for replying. I have had ETH wallet added as well in mycelium and I need one ETH address PK as well.

I am trying to use this but with no success.

1 private key is for one single address so just like the above said it won't work if you want to recover your seed using private key and if you want to recover your Bitcoin including ETH wallet.

ETH wallet on Mycelium still on beta testing and it is new and it is not recommended wallet to save a large amount of ETH.
So, If you still have access to the ETH wallet much better transfer it right now to your new wallet. I suggest you use MEW or Coinomi wallet as an alternative wallet to save Ethereum.

But if you don't have access to your wallet anymore and only private key you have then there's no way to recover your ETH because like the above said the private key you have is the Bitcoin private key.

You must have seed backup to be able to recover your old wallet including ETH wallet.

Unfortunately, without the 12 word seed mnemonic, you will be unable to restore your ETH account (and the ETH private keys) that were generated by your Mycelium wallet.

The xprv that you have is BTC specific... it's derived from the seed (that would be restored from your 12 word seed mnemonic)... but you cannot go from xprv -> seed... only seed -> xprv.

I am trying to obtain a private key of 1 ETH address?
What do you mean? Mycelium is a BTC wallet.
Mycelium also supports adding an ETH account and ERC-20...

Hello,

No, You can't get the 12 word seed from your PK.

If not, is it possible to import this somehow in mycelium? Why did they make this thing so hard?

You can't import a private key, but you can sweep it (move the funds from the address associated with that PR to one of your addresses).

Go to the menu > Cold storage, and then Clipboard (if you have it copied) or QR if you have it printed.
