when pump? now xrp is down again, last time pumping hard because good news from xrp proggress with some Bank, waiting for next pump.
Have you seen the latest chart of ripple and how it gets a better chart compared to another major coin just like bitcoin and ethereum?  No more pump for XRP until there will be a rumor about the next partnership but XRP is a complete security token to the investors. Without any big news and don't expect the next pump for XRP.
Well, I don't think like that, even though I see the price of XRP is currently really low, but that doesn't happen to XRP, but almost on all coins. Well, when there is a price increase that occurs in Crypto, I'm sure XRP will also be one of the coins that goes up high

XRP currently are on 3rd place on CMC. the ranking speak for itself.

Indeed the inadequacy of this coin is beginning to frighten. Not in terms of becoming the leader among the alts, but rather falling to the very bottom. We'll see if developers can stop its intensity and how it will affect the price in the future.
What is following to the very bottom here? Probably you are just saying what you like and have no idea of the movement XRP has had lately and for the fact that it is presently correcting after a huge percentage increase. I am not a fan of ripple for the fact that it is centralized and that has shown my skepticism for it when it comes to long term potential and growth which I have never really cared about anyway. Ripple to me will always be a pump and dump material and there are so many market with great potentials to hold than having to settle for this one.

There are the heavy speculations in the crypto segment so how you tell that XRP will be the only next pump. It may go up but not this time the Bitcoin value will affect all other coins value in the next bull.
No one can certainly tell anything and for one thing, we have seen the first leg of pump anyway with a little bit of retrace which is something not so bad actually, looking at how ripple really decided to take a huge leap of faith with some huge gains recently. I believe if the market gets to pick a side, which is going to automatically be dependent on the side bitcoin eventually picks, we guess we can see some possibility of the second leg for ripple, but in this case, I just have to keep my fingers crossed and watch how the trend develops.

Where did you look about that?

Ripple prices have experienced increase recently, and this incident when bitcoin ETH the other altcoin prices are experiencing price declines. Even more in my local exchange the Ripple price went up to 15% so far, however I can't determine this including the pump or not.

Big news coming out of Ripple including agreement with Jed. He no longer has control over his XRP and he donated a large percentage (with same sell terms for donation). XRP is available on kraken and polo (same as ETH) and both had recent news with MS (bill gates had hyped it more then ethereum). Take my opinion with a grain of salt but some of this volume could go into XRP when ETH eventually declines. We've also seen some slow, careful, huge buyers.  Just keep an eye out.

In my opinion, on the Ripple positively influenced by news from its developers: the start of commercial application of the xrapid payment platform, the launch of the MoneyTap payment application in Japan and the inclusion of the co-founder and former CEO of Ripple Labs Chris Larsen in the list of the richest people in the world according to Forbes magazine. Ripple also remains one of the most successful in the last month, adding 63% to the cost. The next targets for bulls will be resistance lines of $0.45, $0.54 and $0.58.

XRP is the good altcoin, it is also the high potential and promising coins in the coinmarketcap. Now the price of XRP is low use this chance to invest more on this coin. XRP has a bright future but now the coin is not popular among the people. Some people still hold this coin hold this coin with patience, the price will increase but it will take long time to reach high value.

from the beginning of the XRP I saw this coin has the potential to be able to develop in the future, and even if the news you say is really going to happen, of course it will give good news to the current XRP holder, and even if someone does not own and hold it Of course you can buy at prices that have dropped like this.

I think this is going on. Two weeks ago, the XRP had a strong vibration that seemed distinct from all. ~ 105% for a week and a fast drop from ~ 0.8 $ - 0.45 $ on the last day. It was really a pump or had the whale force diverted. Based on that terrible impact, XRP overtook ETH 3 times short.Smiley

Ladies and gentlemen, have you read that Change.org published a petition with a proposal to make XRP the official cryptocurrency of the summer Olympic games, which will be held in Japan in 2020? That would be a good step, in my opinion. Thus, interest in the cryptocurrency would receive a powerful incentive. What do you think?

Agree with the statement that anything is tradeable...what do you think the rise in the company Ripple will do to the coin if anything?
Most likely XRP, therefore the public currency / blockchain is not linked with the project Ripple company and the banks are working on. So i guess it's something private and has and will not have anything to do with XRP.

i think currently XRP doesn't matter. These partnerships you guys see are between banks and the private company Ripple. So untill someone brings proofs this is related with the cryptocurrency XRP aswell, as in, ripple and these banks use the XRP, it's common sense to believe XRP is not used, and that it is just a relic reminder of what XRP / ripple used to be.

If there's some tradeable anything then people are gonna trade it.  It doesn't matter how worthless or useless it is.  That's the case with almost every single alt out there but that don't stop millions being thrown at them.

Xrp has enough tenuous links to real commerce to get pampers excited.

Makes Ethereum look good ?

I was actually going to say that too earlier  Cheesy
I wasn't sure if i should go THAT far though hahahaha

It just shatters my mind beyond comprehension how fucking scammy and blatant this crap has evolved into.
You look at what was denied / accepted in mid-2013 then NOW !
What a difference !

And the Doge-tard's who showed up late clutching their lunch money for profits have no idea.
Because they got here late..

Ripple was shot down and denied hard when it was launched here in case you don't remember guys.
The community said.. NOPE !

I was actually stunned after watching it fail to get on Cryptsy for a year or two..
that it eventually got listed on there and gradually all over.
That was the tipping point time period where things started to get more & more scammy.
AKA: The ICO days (formerly known as IPO)

I recall watching Ripple sit on Cryptsy's add-a-coin vote page for almost 2 years with the highest amount of paid votes.
And Cryptsy would still side step it all that time.. avoiding adding it.
Until one day they just randomly added it after 2 years roughly.
And over-night in a split second it was Ripple central with full support.

Just added because of user demand ?
Well lets point out how the *paid* votes were overwhelmingly all Ripple.
Of all the votes i bet Ripple had 50% and every other coin had the other 50%.
And it was a LONG LOOOONG list of coins with *PAID* votes.

Cryptsy always tried to play the "user demand" card..
ORB for example was shot down and denied by the community with an aggressive revolt.
The users across the Altcoin scene flipped out and raged when they added it to Cryptsy markets.
So loud and aggressively that they had to pull the coin within hours of adding it.
That happened around mid-2013'ish
Want to know how sleazy & scammy these fuckers are ?
With no announcement of any kind they slipped it back in when Crypto exploded in popularity DEC-2013
Right when the scene was flooded hard with new-users (knowing the older users wouldn't notice)
..or would be drowned out by the noobs and puppet accounts etc.

When i asked them about it or i should say they seen my FUD posted above before
they basically just played dumb about it.
Par for the course.

This shit really actually has become ridiculously pathetic.

(XRP is a bad poorly thought out scam)

... this needs to be it's own thread ...

for your average Investard ... i've done my homework ... but I still have no clue on what da duck is XRP

1. does it have a wallet/private key/blockchain?
2. go to the website try to find that minor detail.
3. the market is likely 100% Ripple 'bill' Gates bullsnot .. outside of Polo .. there is not a market besides the ripplegates ... and they would never ever fake volume.
4. centralized, premined, to the point of making ETH look good.
5. how the H-E double hockey sticks do you get to trade on ripplegates?  there is no login/register.

beyond scam

what is it?
this is it!

So ?
I had an exchange post on my joke coin topic they added my coin (that never existed)
All exchanges are scammy ass bullshit for profit.

They make BANKERS look like saints !
Why ? ..financial regulations with Banks and none with Crypto.

Just imagine how many guys would be thrown in jail (in Crypto) like Martha Stewart
..an old lady who baked pies on TV ..for "Insider Trading"

AND THEN !

Imagine that those regulations get implemented any time randomly in Crypto and watch the shit storm of finger pointing commence  Cheesy

You guys are mighty cocky with all this crap.. let me know how it works out for you  Grin

PS:
mark it on your calendar.. me & stoat agreed on something (XRP is a bad poorly thought out scam)
Bill Gates should be ashamed of himself for supporting it (as pimpjuice said earlier on this topic)

Oh and.. if Banks are using it then how do they do it ?
They would have to BUY the scam coins from bag holders.. not happening ROFL
Anyone with a small fraction of a brain here knows they would just invest in their own SCAM COIN.
Why buy a currency when you can print your own money ?

Banks can not "use" or support XRP unless they buy some..

The Bank liars did not think out their bold claims too well hahhahah
I feel sorry for people who actually believed that shit.
Bank of Nigeria is ready to accept your money.. a prince is needing 10 grand worth of XRP..
and he promises to give you a 100x your money if you can help him out.

Grab your wallets Investards  Cheesy

Oh and.. it's been a year since this topic was posted so uhh.. where is that Pump buddy ?
Seems you were full of shit HAHAHHAHA

XRP NEW EXCHANGE :  https://www.theworldexchange.net/#about
https://twitter.com/barrysilbert/status/779317435413430272

Ripple is actually a mature and well established technology in industry that's been online since 2013. Ripple Labs, the company which created the technology, has already implemented the technology in many major U.S. banks. The Ripple network itself is just sitting there on the internet with no barrier to entry or cost for anyone to connect to and use. The reason the technology is little known publicly and that no one else has created a similar free, open portal to the network is for a number of reasons:

  • Ripple Labs has pivoted to applying their technology just to bank transactions. That is but a sliver of what their technology is capable of, but as a company with many investors and private interests, they had to focus their use case. As a result of their financial industry focus, they had to retreat from being too public with their work. This combined with the stigma of the company having "sold out to banks" is why Ripple is less known today than it was in 2013 when it first started.

  • There is no business case for making something that is essentially free. The World Exchange is a pure, vanilla, client-side tool for the Ripple network and charges nothing to use. There is no extra process in between you and the network and no way for the creators of the website to profit. No VC would ever fund a free-to-use platform with no way to make money. So why did Autodidactic I create it then? Autodidactic I is essentially an inventors/artists guild of individuals who have already created other ways to fund their own projects with no outside backers or interests. As a result, this and many other projects by Autodidactic I tend to be profit-less in nature and done purely out of interest or just to see if it's possible.

Things that are free and open are very rare, and it is a natural human response to be skeptical. The nice part is because it's free and open, you don't need to speculate. Just go ahead and create an account to try things out with. Do something with it or do nothing. It is up to you. The technology, however, is here and open to all!

XRP is so undervalued for the last few months compared to the other shit coins out there.
The train is on its way guys. Hop on while you can.

XRP is centralised system. So it has lower value compared to open system such as uᴉoɔʇᴉq or Etheruem.
If it can cut out the existing bank costs by 60% you can see it as a bridge between the existing economic model and the completely decentralised one in the future.

But other coins such as bitcoin could also cut the banking cost. I do not see much benefit using Ripple.
Well I know that they are working with very large banks to trial out.
Dont know if BTC is doing the same with any big banks at the moment though.

Literally publicly announcing a pump and dump. Lol ripple is this how far you've sunk?

Ripple will pump in your wildest dreams.  No chance for this coin any more its been around too long and achieved absolutely jack shit.  The same goes for monero which I mention because someone was talking about it on the previous page.

So I finally figured out the jackass of the forum.  Your constant fud makes me sick.
1) Stop bringing up monero?Huh wtf
2) I DID NOT SAY this was a freaking pump and dump

FOR EVERYONE SAYING XRP IS CENTRALIZED... The way it was built was to become more decentralized as more validators are added.  Right now, yes, Ripple does have validators running but MICROSOFT has stated they are very interested in Ripple and running multiple validators, add multiple financial institutions, plus anyone else who has interest and you become more and more decentralized.  Bitcoin, which is often considered the most decentralized actually only has a few miners in China causing it to become more centralized. If you do not believe me listen to VITALIK BUTERIN say it with your own ears... https://youtu.be/naKvYfYsBQo?t=46m56s

I would like to buy some, but on Kraken they are only exchangeable against BTC, and I am not willing to use Poloniex... Hope I won't miss the good train.

Why not?  What's wrong with Poloniex?

I am not totally confident about market place in cryptocurrencies yet because of previous bad examples. Thus, I would like to stay on kraken that aspire me much more confidence than poloniex... plus trading in euros, I would lose money over exchange rates + international fees outside europe to send money to poloniex.

Nonetheless, since I would like to benefit of the growth of Ripples and other cryptocurrencies not yet traded on Kraken, I may reconcider my decision...

Plus Ripple's killer app guarantees that a Mt. Gox/Cryptsy type event can't happen without the Ripple Foundation stealing the XRP back for their original owners!  This is a level of security that neither bitcoin nor Ethereum can touch.

There is a freeze feature that gateways can use. I believe the freeze was by bitstamp.  It was because Jed attempted a dump against his agreement.  Now all his xrp are out of his control. The way you said it made it sound like you are trying to spread fud but maybe just a misunderstanding.

The way a real pump and dump works is by the time "insiders" are telling people there is a pump coming, the game is already over. the whales already bought then they give the word to people that a pump is coming and those people are the ones that actually pump the coin while the whales make all the money.

I agree but I am not claiming an xrp pump and dump (just an increase).  I actually predicted the Eth price would come down from $6 something and it wouldn't be bad for those that were getting out to put a little towards xrp with the current news out of Ripple land Smiley

That senario could happen. But I think Monero will get pumped earlier than Ripples. It is happening now.

Ripple has some very serious partnering FIs on the sidelines. Last number i heard was 10 out of top 50 largest banks globally and 90 banks overall, of which 25 or something running pilot programs. Now that jed's situation has been cleared, it should be a no-brainer to have some xrp.

Eh.  I'm tired of all the altcoins.  Wish that shitcoin burning program BARR would burn everything but the top 3 or 4 coins, but I'm sure that will never happen.  And even if it did, there's unlimited potential for these shits and the bar to entry is so low you almost have to dig for it.  Ripple is great.  For me to poop on!

I actually agree with you and would like to say Ripple was number 2 until Ethereum took over recently.
Bitcoin = Gold
Ether = Smart Contracts
XRP = Bridge currency/Interledger

"For me to poop on" lol - I love Triump, the insult dog. This has to be one of the greatest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33zPlnhymCU

Already got in over a week ago when Ripple announced they were expanding into the Asian markets and Japan. This will probably be one hell of a run up.

I would like to buy some, but on Kraken they are only exchangeable against BTC, and I am not willing to use Poloniex... Hope I won't miss the good train.

Why not?  What's wrong with Poloniex?

Lol what actual news prompting this rise in shitcoin XRP? It's just dumb money sloshing around from the ETH pump that is all.  Soon monero will dump back to shit and ETH will continue rising.

There is no chance for Monero it is one of the shittest coins.

With what you just said, I am guessing you didn't read any news at all and don't even know what you're talking about.  This isn't even Monero, it is Ripple:

I love BTC, but mannnn XRP is looking really good these days.  Perfect storm gathering for a massive price increase.  I still hold onto some BTC just in case though, with the block halving and all.  Good to diversify though!  ETH had its fun, now it's XRP's turn.

Xrp is becoming more decentralized as bitcoin becomes more centralized. Ripple adds validaters (Microsoft soon) while mining btc is controlled by a few in china.  Nothing against bitcoin - I love btc.

XRP is not a decentralized coin. It is controlled by very few group of people. So they can do whatever they want.

Thanks Jed Wink I'll take a closer look into investing. Looks like a decent floor, but I think it could go a little lower if news doesn't break on sbi within the next couple days.

I skimmed the chat box and threads didn't see anything on a release date to sbi market. Did I miss it?

Maybe your Jed and your trying to pump the price/volume for more income Wink

That is good but Jed would not name himself pimp juice. It would be something like taco stand.

Or maybe that's what he wants us to think?!?

I have been thinking of jumping on the train but I'll hope for a little dip before I put something into it.

Dude the floor is .006 this is the bottom.  Seen .004 a few times but rarely. I'm talking half a cent.

Is it a verbal agreement or not ,can you provide us some news links for the supposed agreement?

https://forum.ripple.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=15885

Quote
Jed will donate 2 billion XRP to a charitable donor-advised fund ("DAF") of his choice. The same limits are placed on the ability of the charity to sell the XRP as are placed on the Jed's ability to sell his remaining XRP.

All of Jed and his children's remaining XRP, approximately 5.3 billion XRP, will be placed in a custody account at Ripple. While Jed retains full title and ownership of his remaining XRP, Ripple will control the release of his XRP in a manner consistent with the settlement agreement. Specifically, Jed will be allowed to sell his remaining XRP in the following manner:

- for the first year of the agreement Jed and the DAF will be able to collectively sell 0.5 percent of the Average Daily Volume of XRP for each day of the week, including weekends and holidays.*

- for the second and third years of this agreement, Jed and the DAF will be able to collectively sell for each day of the week 0.75 percent of the Average Daily Volume.

- for the fourth year of the agreement, Jed and the DAF will be able to collectively sell for each day of the week 1.0 percent of the Average Daily Volume.
for any time after the fourth year of the agreement, for each day of the week Jed and the DAF will be able to sell 1.5 percent of the Average Daily Volume.
