I'm deeply sorry for your loss there are advises I'd like to give in this scenario.
1. Search if you have a backup somewhere
2. Or give it up. Stop groaning on the past  mistake. It takes greater efgort to groan and grope over loss than to start over and recover all to add more

Please move on already, since you can't get remember  your private key, then your XRP is lost forever. This is the more reason why we need proper offline backups for our private key and mnemonic phrase, so that when things like this arise, we wont lose funds.

Without a secret key, you can't access your XRP. What a shame but your coin is gone.
I think it's impossible, unless you have evidence or data that can make a team or dev believe that it is your wallet. If you don't have strong evidence, you don't think you can get your XRP anymore. Next time you don't be careless in accessing your wallet, because even a small mistake can be fatal.
Good luck on trying to contract dev and convince them to allow whatever your claim 'this is my wallet tho I don't have a key'

I regret to say that unfortunately, lost private keys means losing your xrps. There is no way to get back your xrp until you recover your private keys. I always write my private keys even if it is a long combination of letters and numbers. Yes, seriously, i wrote it in a paper along with my usernames and passwords and also my btc addresses. Anyway, we can't always rely on our phone, it is better to write it or just like this member's suggestion about hardware wallet.

For next time the hardware wallet could be a solution. You can write down the secret words to the paper and keep in a safe place. This way you will keep your funds securely

Hi I have a hoard of XRP but lost the secret key, I cannot remember the password to the below too.

https://id.ripple.com/auth/migrate

Does it mean that the XRPs are forever lost?

Sorry, but you have lost your money, possible to pick up the key is almost impossible. Perhaps in the future there will be solutions to your problem.

I don't think in the future there will have a solution. Because even the XRP owner doesn't hold the user's private key. So, he lost his mone forever.

Of course , there are always rules that need to be read , and it says that the key is given once and the loss you will not be able to recover your wallet.

one should be careful about secret keys, it is not a password, you should consider it as key from your apartment, but with door that cannot be broken
so, keep your key safe in all times, or else you will lose your money..

This is really bad as it will be herculean task recovering the account. Secret keys are what is used to secure accounts and losing them means loss of access to those accounts as well. Even though you might not recover it I suggest you take appropriate measures to ensure you secure other accounts too while preventing this from happening again.

Unfortunately, it is not always possible to save all private keys. I would recommend printing or writing a private key on paper and keeping it in a safe place. This will be your insurance in case something happens to the computer or phone.

On the Internet, you can buy a lot of devices for storing your private keys. just find information on Google or on the forum

No secret key means no access to that particular account; that's how most blockchain platforms are so as to ensure security of users assets. As it stands no one can help you and it will be wise you go back and look for the keys, try your best to find them as only you can unlock the account.

Does it mean that the XRPs are forever lost?

Pretty stupid question isn't it.

Hey guys, I dropped my wallet into a volcano, is all my money gone forever?

Please help.
Even what you've asked seems completely stupid. If the wallet you've dropped is a mobile wallet and you keep hold of the private key dropping the mobile into the valcano then your wallet is secure. Here we need to know at what situation the user has requested for help.

Try to remember your password,i think you can do it if you not panic, since you lose a password and not a wallet passphrase, try using any password you can remember, i think you will remember it, just calm. But if you still cannot remember it, say goodbye to your XRP, let it go, because theres now way to get it back, since the site is not have "forgot password" option to help you
It's the only way to try recovering your password because without any trying there's no chance for you to recover your assets, you need to try everything first and if you don't find any success then there's no chance for you to get it back, try to move on and avoid doing the same mistake keep your important data inside a safe storage.

It's true, accessing the wallet must be careful, because many sites that have almost the same link address with the original, so it's better when you have made a wallet, the right access link that we save to prevent things that we do not want in the wallet we.
that means the error is on our own. a system from a trusted wallet or site is really good and safe. we cannot avoid hackers, but we can reduce how they hack with the site or with our wallet directly. keep watch.

Previously you had to copy to a number of secret places for yourself, and to secure a very important box opening key. Try to contact the development team and have to find out whether the assets you have there are safe, hopefully there is luck for you.

That is right brother, you have lost your coin forever without those keys, there is absolutely nothing much you can do to retrieve that wallet back, that is why it is important that you always back up your key in a place where it will be safe and where you can remember, there would have been noting so bad if you had even backed it up offline and have the keys in something like a safe.

I guess you have to just take the situation as a lesson for you for next time, and I hope the money is not much a damaging amount, and I don’t even understand the reason why you are keeping lots of XRP when there are better coins, anyway, that is a discussion for another day, even if it was not xrp, it may have been another coin, next time, also try and share your tokens into  2 different wallets to be on a safer side, I believe that there is no way you can have issue with both wallets at the same time.

Yes, you control that wallet and you are responsible for that and if you can’t remember anything then you really lost the money. This is very unfortunate and we should take care always of our wallet details but in the case like this, all you have to do is to set another goal start moving on and work for that again.

It's a pity about this incident. I think losing the secret key means we can't access the wallet. hence every online wallet will definitely convince and warn its users to store secret keys safely and not to lose them. But of course, I still hope that you can find the secret key later.

Same with BTC.
You lost it then what is inside that wallet is gone forever. That is the good and also the bad side of it.

Shouldve written it in paper. I got 3 copies of my private keys in paper. Also, they are scattered. If anyone finds it, they dont even have a clue what are those numbers and letters. Yet.

Sorry mate, but it's long gone. In the crypto space, any wallet or account with secret keys or private keys is under the sole control of the owner of that account. So if you have lost it, then there is no way to recover it because you were meant to protect it from the onset. Sorry for your loss.

Any account that has a secret key means that only the creator or owner can access it and without it, it can't be accessed. Since you have lost the secret key, I don't think there is anyone who can help you. I suggest you retrace your steps perhaps to the year you created the account and search your books for clues.

Usually, losing a password or secret key means that we lose assets in it. But there is an email input. Have you tried recovering your password or contacting support via registered email? Do you remember the email you used upon registering there? dig in to your email, the details of your registration might be there.
There is small chance that private key is being save on the email that is why you have to keep it where you can easily access. It is unlike door that you can destroy to have way to enter. This is a lesson to remember that you need to be careful for your account because it just a waste .

its one of the risk in investing cryptocurrency. same goes for any other coin, if lose you privatekey, you can consider it lost forever. ripple however seem to allow you to retrieve your privatekey so long as you can remember your password. try remembering it, we all have our favorite password to type in creating account, mine is just 123456, maybe that is yours as well.

Unfortunately without a secret key you will not be denied access to your XRP. Always write your keys, passwords, phrases in a notepad and also save on several flash drives. This applies to both  exchanges and any wallets also.

How did you managed to forget your key and the password for the account that you have made? accounts and keys are like our bank accounts in cryptocurrency. And if you didn't managed to keep it and then you're not taking care of your asset.
It's the first rule when you just get in to crypto, never forget your private keys and as much as possible, keep it.

Not you key, not your crypto is the universal word when you enter into the crypto world. Never lose control of your key, never lose passwords. In crypto worlds, keys and passwords can't be retrieved through a usual "forgot password" option. There is nothing like that.
So, I'm sorry about your XRP lose.

Probably, yes. If you definitely can't remember then it might be worth contacting the company. It looks like accounts are being migrated, so if you still have the email address then you may be able to get a password reset, and if you can then log in I suppose there's a chance you can get your coins back - but I don't think it's very likely.

I dont think they will save our secret key, because as far as i know, most wallet providers adopt "zero-knowledge" for private key. Its mean, if you lost your key, paraphrase, json or dat files it's mean we lost everything on our account. Except we are create and account like on coinbase or exchange, we can request forgot passwords.
