it depends on how much your money but I think you can divide your money into two parts so you can buy xrp and xlm together. but if you only want to buy one coin, then both coin is worth to buy and you need to choose by yourself. and don't forget that you have another option coin like trx and ada and this two coin still cheap price too. maybe I can suggest to you to buy xlm which cheaper than xrp.
I prefer XLM because this coins is mineable but XRP just premined, many people say if XRP more to centralization and not to be category of cryptocurrency. XLM also has partner with company like IBM, so that mean will many third party that will buy the coins.
Right now, Ripple goes for around $1.30 a piece. Stellar Lumens, on the other hand, go for less than $0.55 a piece. But price isn’t the only metric we should be focusing on here. Market capitalization (and, indeed, the disparity in this metric for both coins) is even more telling – Ripple is currently sitting on a market cap of more than $48.6 billion. Lumens, on the other hand, command a market cap of less than $10 billion. So XRP is trading at a little over twice the price of XLM but just shy of five times the market capitalization.
XLM is better, cheaper costs of transaction fast and have promising future developments, but still need time to have a significant value, that's my opinion
XLM is a better option than XRP and it is more stable one than XRP also in the market nowadays.
Stellar is more an open protocol and more decentralized than Ripple. Moreover the Stellar network can be used as ICO platform even if the main purpose is still as payment solution

go for XLM and if you want another coin I refer you to go with TRX. they are both good tokens and I am holder of it . ripple also is a good coin but be careful because of korea issues and fud regarding on bitcoin issues and in their exchange hehehe.I have my last bit of money and I am not sure if I should go for XLM or XRP or just place it in the good old BTC wallet.

Well go for the best and I think it's better to place it on the btc wallet or to the bitcoin as you can see bitcoin is increasing as of now, hold it for I while then invest it to this both coins or alt coins.

But if you can split it into some pieces then will be good idea.
Stellar is better than Ripple, its more advance than Ripple. So i guess split money, buy bitcoin and some XLM to be safe side. Dont invest all your money in one coin only.

I quote both of them. between them I think it's good to hold. each has a different type and is nice to maintain than you pick Tron. I think both of them will last long although the increase is not as significant as the amount of coin is very much. maybe you will see the existence and resilience of both. the stability of the value and the support between the two is very good. compared to this very tron only promises with the support of alibaba but has not produced results at all at this time. even tend to be abandoned user.
I would never invest in XRP. Better option is to buy BTC. Get some XLM to diversify, partnership with IBM sounds promising.
I think that priorities change. Now both these coins have strongly sunk. Everywhere there is information that these coins are overvalued. Bitcoin went to grow up. What will happen to the coins - we'll see.

Stellar Lumens showed a very good result in the last few days. I love this coin because of cheap and fast transactions. It is especially convenient to send funds from one exchange to another. The coin has a great potential for growth.
I prefer Stellar(XLM) over Ripple(XRP) because in my opinion, XLM is growing stage right now because of its amazing feature and at the time confirmation with reasonable txn fees. People are showing high acceptability towards XLM whereas XRP is always been known as anti-crypto coin because of its centralized feature. I think XLM will soon touch $1, so invest now.

It really depands on how much you are palning to hold and how much you have, if you have like 100$ or more and you want to get fast profit, put it on XRP since it is starting to become more and more popular and has a decent price for a new coin so it defently has potential to rise quickly, if you have a lower than 100$ than just keep it in btc it is not going to get you much if you are looking for fast profit, both bitcoin and XRP are going to rise but they both have diifrenet price range, one is 13k and the other is 2$, so you need to buy a lot of XRP to be able to benefit from it right now. I don't see any chance in either of the coin that you have mentioned here. The XRP was really artificial pump last week and there is no way we can surely say that it will rise again in the future. The centralised coin is making everything look like stubborn and there is huge possibility that it won't be spiked real soon. XRP done spiking and it done giving its biggest shot and now it will go in the stagnant mode.I have my last bit of money and I am not sure if I should go for XLM or XRP or just place it in the good old BTC wallet.

The XLM, the stellar coin is not a question at all for me and I have always seen this coin in the unstable mode.
If you have last bit of your money then you should really choose the coin carefully. I would suggest you to keep your investment into ETH for now because that is only your biggest shot and it will help grow your money systematically.
XLM all the way ! What does XRP offer ? I will tell , XRP is offereing everything that is against cryptoworld and what people that joining crypto looking for . XRP is centralized and not anonymous , I am aware of the great partnerships XRP making but still they might be good even great but not related to cryptoworld .

XRP and XLM are just brothers, if you want to invest make 60% xrp and 40%xlm both are great for longterm investment.
I would put in XLM. I believe it has more room to run than XRP. But as others have said, maybe just put it in BTC and catch the next bull run.

For now, stellar have a good pump, but it reached a really high price and it wouldn't be logic if you buy now. In my opinion, this two coins are not promising for the future. I think bitcoin is better than not ony ripple, but also stellar.

If you check the chart, bitcoin is the best coin you have to buy. Recently XRP and XLM are in a bull run and suddenly dumped. I believe the dumping is not over yet. I prefer xml over xrp. Xml has a more successful features. I don't support xrp as it is centralized currency, I think it is against the meaning of the crypto. Ripple's only advantage is its popularity.
I like XLM more than XRP because XRP is very centralized. But XRP have a good promotion: even my dad heard about about it on radio and invest in it

XRP keeps only because of what people think bankers are cunning and will come up with something for further growth.
I think XLM has more upside. Both have good scaling architecture but XRP has a top down approach to adoption that targets banks first. That, and the fact it launched first, have pushed it out in front. But I think XLM is the tortoise to XRP's hare; XLM's bottom up approach to network growth is more inline with the original decentralization ideals of cryptocurrencies.
XLM will rise faster than XRP i think, although XRP is better long term investment.
I would definitely choose Ripple, a very solid project, there are a lot of banks behind and lately it is tightening very important agreements, I think it can increase a lot in the next months/years

IN cryptocurrency no one could tell anything for sure. But if you are looking for X10 or something, BTC and XRP are not your options for a short and mid term investments.

I would like to prefer ripple rather than xlm.because it has huge market cap too much huge.
I suggest you invest in some new ICO, XLM and XRP seem to have little potential, and most of the time XLM is just a follower of XRP.
I think it's better xrp than xlm because xrp is now the price keeps increasing, in comparison xlm and if you want to play it safe maybe stay in btc only

I would suggest you to go for Lumen XLM as it has better features and amazing products to deliver I mean both XRP and XLM will be the gamechangers but at this moment XLM is yet to get the expected pump so I would suggest to go with XLM and get benefitted by the pump and if you just do a research already big investors have shown interest in XLM for their upcoming projects.
