Considering its real value, I think it can reach $0.35 during next year, no more than that. Of course speculation can make new temporarily highs, but even with that, I doubt that it can reach $5.
I hope somebody Finds a Giant Toilet to flush all the useless XRP straight back to the CENTRALIZED HQ.
My XRP predictions are like all other altcoin predictions. They may serve a utility for a select group of individuals, but it is purely speculative as there is no actual use case in the service they are providing with the coin. The coin is there just to make profit off of, there is no long term value here. It is centralized and banks are getting excited about it. I can't wait until someone hacks it.

it is difficult to say with ripple
i have read older boards about it with some bad reviews about it here on the forum.
just today i also read on a news article that american express are partnering with ripple https://www.cnbc.com/2017/11/16/american-express-santander-team-up-with-ripple-on-blockchain-platform.html
it's really hard. actually there's a lot of offer (38.5b coins) maybe in 2020 when the cap of btc will be around 1000b xrp will hit 3-5$.
XRP can be a good investments and I recommend you invest in it. But don't expect price to rise to such prices. In that case the total market cap will be more than 3 times the Ethereum. It won't happen unless Bitcoin and all the altcoins pump heavily in next year.
xrp will not get to 3-5usd in a year or two. It is quite impossible because of the industry ripple is aiming at. If it gets to 1usd in 2018 would already be great achivement. Also a great news for the xrp hodlers. Today we can see fifth green day candle on xrp/eur chart. This did not happen since end of june.
I suppose there won't be any significant shifts (pumps and dumps) at Ripple price. It's centralized crypto for bank transfers and they don't like volatility that could be very harmful for transactions.
