I can´t stand the XSPEC spam in this section any more but at the same time, I`m wondering how it´s seen by rest of the community.

On the one hand there are a few guys who frequently post/spam the same stuff about the Spectre Coin each time anybody asks for some advice. I give you some example, just convince yourself:

vovannovig2
srqrebel
RKh
Discounted
... (plus a lot of newbies/sockpuppets)

On the other hand the project seems to be quite interesting and I already investes a small amout of money into it. I´d be thankful if anybody could give an estimation to XSPEC - besides the named ones, they are already on my ignore list.

I´m sorry about my broken english, giving my best

[Disclaimer : I hold XSPEC, but am not part of the project team]

You are right that the community is very enthusiastic. It is, however certainly not pump. Even at the current price of USD 3, the room to grow is big:

Looking at the overall market for privacy coins, which is about 19bn (including the main coins only, without any derivatives), XSPEC has a market share of about 0.3% currently.

Monero, the coin most compared to XSPEC (while XMR being perhaps even technically inferior to XSPEC), has a market share of 30%.

So here is a little table, which shows the price development as a function of the market share (assuming overall market stays the same)

Market SharePrice
1%9.25
3%28.33
6%58.46
10%101.77

Everyone can make there own assumptions about what market share XSPEC can get.

Their marketing sucks (is non-existent, and all community driven), but the technical specs are superior and forward looking.  Thus, for me, 6% - 10% market share in 2018 does not sound unreasonable. If they manage to improve the messaging, they could even displace some of the big names, IMHO.

I agree. While the project does seem to have potential and I'm holding XSPEC, the spam is a major turn off. Maybe its their way of marketing but it makes it appear borderline "scammy" which imo is bad for what could be a decent alt.

Some are passionate about coins they support. Smiley  I take all advise with a grain of salt.

In this case I bought some.  Small amount but enough qty because it is relatively cheap for now.  I think it is a good coin being held back only by the low traffic exchange.  Many good coins failed or did not grow as they should because of small/wrong exchanges.
