The correct port is tcp 7688. You need to forward this to your yacoin machine.

Open the right ports in your firewall. I have 110 connections now and getting about 50/50 confirmed/orphans.

ATM it seems the number of connections you have to the network is much more important then the hash rate you have. If you don't have enough connections you will only get orphans.
i have a i5 3570 bouncing around between 40khash to 140 khash and i got my first block confirmed and in my wallet, showed up in 5 minutes of starting, is this luck or the general rate everyones finding?
