From reviewing the "Alternate cryptocurrencies" forum on here, the claims on this new coin's client containing a trojan were almost certainly false. The consensus seemed to be that it was someone trolling and attempting to manipulate people's perceptions of the coin.

That said, there's still reasons to be cautious about the various alt coins, including the possibility that someone could release a coin with malicious software attached in the future.

As usual there are some guys who believe and know that people click on every link they see, my guess is that the client is clean and that some people just clicked on too many links..

Can someone clear up the YACOIN FUD that is spread from a google search of yacoin? It says there is a bitcoin stealer in the client yet some (or all?) of those people claim that their bitcointalk.org account was compromised. I.e. no coins were stolen, it was a scam.

I.E. The Yacoin client appears to be safe. I have it installed on my computer and ended up using puppy linux off a usb drive for a day when I read about it. Some people.
