It's not even close to being the year of the altcoin or anything even close to it IMO.

Altcoins have gotten absolutely demolished over the last year, particularly when you look at the lower cap ones... most of these are down by more than 95%.

Comparatively, Bitcoin is now down only around 60% from ATH, whereas the other Bitcoin-offshoots like Bitcoin SV (BSV) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are not doing too bad either.

Well, BSV has only recently had a good run, but before that both were down around 90%.

What do you mean by bitcoin halving? Are this even that did happened back last 2016? Well if that is the case then I agree. However if it was something else then which is the upcoming event in the mid year then I do think you are getting the wrong part. Halving is yet to happen price spike must be cause by something else. So if alts did go high as well then may be it was triggered by certain circumstances.

Now the green market is not due to halving BTC. the price increase that we see today, I think, is not natural, it is made for people to begin to believe that the market has become different and now you can start buying bitcoin and other altcoins. The best thing you can do is to report this bad post to moderators, we cannot help it people are posting nonsense and spam in this forum this is an unmoderated forum and people here not getting paid for posting, only those who promote projects in their signature, but we really can't prevent spam we can only minimize it.

I'm concern that if too much investors coming into the crypto market hoping to earn from this halving will lead old holders to dump coins they have to take profit the day halving begins. I know its too much to think of but stranger things happen in crypto.

Good conduct must really be observed not just in this section of the forum but as well as with the other just to be pleasing and encouraging once newly registered members dive in into the forum and seek for informations about cryptocurrency in which they could possibly be the potential investors we all have been waiting for. I feel like people are not looking for more technologically improved coins neither, for example spectrecoin is technologically the best privacy coin out there, they have the biggest improvements on privacy out there and their technology is amazing, however their price sucks. Why? Because, people do not look for better technology if there is no usecase where you can actually spend the money, who accepts spectrecoin as payment in the whole world? Maybe 5 places at most.

People are looking for spending in volumes and that only applies to 5-10 coins. If there is a new coin coming up, people want to know that they will be able to spend it somehow, that is why BNB got a huge increase in 2019 for example, it had a utility. People want exactly something like that for a new coin as well, a way to use it.

Well in order for people to have positive outlook for this year is when BTC goes up to ATH again. And only then altcoins can rise up too. Our hope is the BTC halving to make the investors feel like they'd be left with less profit if they invest late in BTC or after halving.

Altcoin season isn't yet coming until BTC rises every week. That news about war seem to have worked though.

Certainly there will be a reason for positive conversations about Altcoins when the bull run starts at the Bitcoin price. Unfortunately, but the prices of all coins on the cryptocurrency market are permanently linked to the price of Bitcoin. If this does not change, everyone will look at the king first and then at alts. Anyway, I'm sure this year will be good for the entire cryptocurrency market.

I don't see that in the current situation. because now our marketcap hasn't really increased but the price of bitcoin has been very high in recent days. Investors are trying to kill their alts and invest in bitcoin. This growth momentum is still long due to the wars and trade wars from the US. What are you talking about? Positive thinking about altcoins doesn't help on anything, price does what it does because markets don't care about positive vibes. They only care about healthy liquidity and that's not done by good vibrations but market makers.

This is what we're clinging for, the bitcoin block halving in May that may start to trigger a massive investors coming to the market again and fresh blood as well to pump the market. -Most of these projects that struggle now are because they are greedy or selling something already made by another team already
-Most users ask questions that have been answered before, alot of people post in wrong sections, messing up the boards sections
-Alot of threads are just summaries and links to external writings about crypto, just a bunch of sites trying to piggyback users from here, without ever putting in the time to be a part of this community in any way Sad

Certainly there will be a reason for positive conversations about Altcoins when the bull run starts at the Bitcoin price. Unfortunately, but the prices of all coins on the cryptocurrency market are permanently linked to the price of Bitcoin. If this does not change, everyone will look at the king first and then at alts. Anyway, I'm sure this year will be good for the entire cryptocurrency market.

If this section is free from all the vices or bad posting it would become beneficial to everyone.
