He is lucky to have been born in a place that support his investment. he should move to china to invest. i seriously doubt if he will survive in the Asian continent. currently we don't know what happened to the owner of alibaba. one of the world richest man. for the whole crypto community to allow him determine and run the market loose terrible.

I like what Elon Musk is doing with spaceX, going to Mars is a great idea and do is giving free Internet to poor people with their satellites. Even tesla is a good company, building electric cars is honorable. But what I don't agree with is manipulation of the crypto markets. He has no right to exploit his twitter to manipulate prices for his own goals. Saying that Bitcoin mining is bad for the environment feels like saying everything else is good, like mining gold for example. Which is not true.
Maybe that's His way to Gain funds to support His spaceX project? 
We don't know whats Running in this Mans Head but let's just pray that this is for the good of humanity and not for His own interest.

He’s a narcissist, I don’t think he really cares that much about the environment. He cares about lining his pocjets with cash & doing whatever he can to preserve that. He loves the sound of his own voice, I don’t trust him & would prefer if he had nothing to do with bitcoin.

but why should he also get into bitcoin and make us all angry? for me, he is still an innovator but not a person worthy of respect in the crypto world.

Let me make a correction to that statement. I tried to extract the value from other people's actions. There are really a huge number of useless Elon posts. I hope that mine may have added value.

OP is clearing Elon at some point but he forgot about he is posting in cryptocurrency market and community in which Elon's statements are very important and he had shaken the market badly and this is our point here for this thread. Well I don't quite believe with what he said that his company is trying to preserve the environment and as a result they will stop accepting Bitcoin because mining btc is not environmental friendly .There has to be some sort of market manipulation but we have to patiently wait and see what will happen next and the real reason behind his recent actions.

At least I have read up to ten threads just this week about the issue and take of Elon Musk everybody saying what they think is right from their point of view.. I know time will tell if this action is justified or not
I am attempting to point out a possible reason for his apparent contradictory actions. If you goal isn't making money or that is only part of the goal And you have other global elites/governments giving you a hard time (reasons we can't know but prob ideology) then his actions make more sense. You pay lip service to the elite/governments and adjust your operational stance to continue with your original stated goal.
Make crypto look bad by mouthing the Ideologue's Ideologies while maintaining original goal.
My theory prob wrong but it makes more sense then most others I've read.
