Yobit has many coins that do work but there are also a lot that either don't work or are on the "special Yobit fork".  Shocked

Many shitcoins that have no network or a dying network are still traded on there. Buyer beware - always - with any exchange.

Yobit's differential is the number of shitcoins that they accept. If go to the Altcoins board and take a look at some of their ANN threads, you will see that 90% of them are listed in the Yobit exchange. I imagine that most bounty hunters that accumulate those shitcoins use Yobit to make a quick buck (besides maybe pumping and dumping those shitcoins).

But if you are using Yobit as your main exchange to trade BTC/BCH/ETH/any legit coin that is available somewhere else, then you are making a big mistake.

I remember some guys from my local community trading a local altcoin there before Yobit put the wallet in "maintenance mode" for more than 4 months and locking their coins there. I don't know if they recovered their coins later, but this is a good enough reason to stop using Yobit.

Exactly. And that's a problem in itself, as well.

It's hard enough for a competently run exchange to have so many markets to be managed at one time, let alone Yobit, which is completely dysfunctional. At this point in time, I believe that they're just trying to make as much money as they can before everyone jumps ship entirely due to the severe issues that they've got (since they charge a fee to list your coins).

Whenever there is a fork of a coin coming out, you see yobit completely failing. It's actually better to have a wallet in maintenance mode in that case, but they don't even bother putting it in that mode. Instead, all withdrawals just fail, and false TXIDs are given out. It's really a hellhole at Yobit. Unless you think that you can make a quick buck trading these terrible alts that are only there for the pump and dumps, which you shouldn't even be doing, avoid it.

they closed RDD which is a very important coin
I had to LOL at this statement.

At this point I'm very surprised Yobit is still in business, as they've had so many complaints about them that you'd think people would have abandoned them by now--like I did.  They offer a lot of coins, but so many of them are dead, with no market, and their customer service is infamous for being shittier than a Port-O-Potty at a Van Halen concert.

Don't know why they froze those wallets, but maybe it is for maintenance.  I don't know, and I'm sure that's all you're going to hear from them about it.  They just don't care about their customers, and they have got to be the shadiest exchange still in existence.  I've used them successfully in the past, but I'm done with them.  Haven't been on their site in many months.

Exactly, I have no idea why people are still trusting them as a safe exchange to use. Clearly, this has been disproved many times in history where the customer is left high and dry without any customer support, and most cases where this happens, they are the ones at fault in the first place.

I guess people are just ignorant, and don't bother to do any research until it's too late.

Yobit constantly puts coins into maintenance, and won't respond to any support messages if you ask them about the stuck coins. That's just the simple truth. It's not a pretty thing at all, if you're in that situation. There are even suspicions that they are manipulating markets by putting their wallets in "maintenance mode", or potentially preventing a bank run where they become insolvent. Just don't use them, at all.

Agreed.  I got scammed by them over 18 months ago - it was only a small amount of shitcoin - but that's not the point, they scammed me.  I've not used them since & have repeatedly warned people about using them, but it seems greed/noobness/stupidity blinds people from the blatantly obvious scammyness that is yoshit.

There's a reason why moderators deleted their official thread.

Yobit.net and Yobit.io is a scammers site. After entering funds to the site, the wallet becomes "Wallet status: Maintenance". With this status, the wallet can be several months or years. Support service ignores your complaints and questions. To withdraw funds, you need to change your coins to bitcoin at a very unprofitable exchange rate and go out with a loss. Be careful! YOBIT = SCAM!

i created this topic to talk about Yobit

There are a lot of scam accusations against yobit, I believe that more than 70% of the members of this forum know that yobit is scam, so creating thread to complain about yobit will not do any good because nobody in the forum can help you, you just need to look in the yobit profile

they have closed so many more wallets...

they do this for years... and just to add, is normal take months to solve problems with wallets

I kindly suggest that you first do your homework

it is mandatory to do research before making any deposit in these exchanges

I think it's obvious, you leaf your site open for deposit but let no one withdraw... And then they come with 'maintenance' How the heck are you accepting coins to be deposited on your site if it is under maintenance but at the same time people can't withdraw? It's a one-way operation.

If you think it's not a scam, go ahead and deposit your coins. No offense, but if you want to grow up in rang I kindly suggest that you first do your homework before posting such kind of crap.

HOLD BITCOIN! Fiat - SCAM!
Hi everyone
i created this topic to talk about Yobit
they have closed so many more wallets for the last week and it seems like they are going to fix the problems
but on the same time it makes no sense, they closed RDD which is a very important coin also xby aby incoin visio and so many others
anyone have an explanation for this?
if Yobit really wants to scam everyone, just close the site and run why would they bother adding so many coins lately? it's so much work to do.

Added so many coins right people to do the deposits in these coins and YoBit SCAM them
