So far lost over 2k of coins in POS.
all my support tickets are marked as "new" meaning they are not even looking at them

You can check yourselves my address on yobit as it keeps accumulating more coins, all kept hostage by yobit

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
I have decided to reveal my wallet address as extra proof so you can check yourself
My Alex wallet address on yobit (the one where coins are stuck) is aDeTcJLEPLFPAmP9oJ1cvZRaQ1SVCAEkZz

You can check on the blockexplorer (https://prohashing.com/explorer/Alexandrite/) to see POS coins generated. None of these goes to my wallet.
This is why my transaction is stuck: yobit wants to keep the coins for themselves to generate more coins to sell on the exchange.

Posted on telegram asking (very politely) why they've put the coin's wallet on maintenance, was banned in 1 second!

I will not stop until I get my coins back. In case it's all a misunderstanding, I don't mind to clear yobit's name
What does "wallet maintenance" mean, exactly?  I never quite understood that.  Seems like a nebulous claim any exchange can make in order to delay withdrawals.  It may not be that, but if anyone can explain it to me I'd be grateful.

That's not good if they banned you for asking a question about your problem.  Do you have a screenshot or something to prove that happened?  That's a good piece of evidence that they're scamming you, and it ought to be documented here.

Yes I have screenshots  Angry
So here is my stuck transaction from 11/6:

I have been opening support tickets since 12/6 on a daily basis and haven't got a single reply.
Yesterday I noticed that Yobit put the wallet on maintenance:

However today the wallet is back on but still my transaction is stuck and haven't heard back from support:

I tried to complain yesterday but was banned in 1 second. And someone told me "no solving unless you give yobit btc"

Today I tried to complain again but nobody replied (and nobody banned me) probably the mods were asleep!

All my previous transactions went smoothly but they were for very small amounts. However this time transaction stuck because it's thousands of the coin and yobit makes a lot of coins POS from it

So far my stuck deposit has generated 521 coins and NONE of these are given to me as my wallet is empty:

I hope something is technically wrong and there are no malicious intentions behind this technical problem
However of this is not the case then this is an obvious THEFT case by YOBIT.
If they clear the matter, I will mention this here.

Just noticed that Wallet of the coin has gone to "maintenance" and consequently I am thinking maybe Yobit isn't intentionally holding the coins.
But still I haven't heard from support which is not a very good thing.
Will let you know if it's a proper scam or simply customer support itsn't in the best shape.

After opening this thread I am watching in horror how many similar cases....
Some stories are real horror
They are holding 10 Bitcoins from someone since January (when 1 BTC= 16k USD) and not giving it to him even till now (June 2018, 1 BTC = 6k USD)

i.e that person LOST 160k USD because he trusted yobit and even if they fix it now (which i doubt would happen) he would still lose 100k USD   Roll Eyes

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/yobit-scam-withholding-10btc-2718718

Unfortunately, this is how bad yobit's reputation is on the forum.

If you search up 'yobit scam' on the forum, you'll be rewarded with probably a few thousand threads that all complain about one thing or another that has gone wrong with yobit. That's why we tell people not to use them.

Surprisingly, this person actually got his problems resolved somehow: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/resolved-after-16-days-yobit-withdrawal-possible-theft-by-yobit-4448488, and I think you've already seen that thread. It's a waiting game. I'd consider your funds lost for now, at least. Don't expect too much from them, and just avoid these shady exchanges in the future.

It's not really expected of any exchange to give you PoS profits per se,
That's what I was thinking, and I posted a question about this in another thread that was related to this.

I'm definitely not an expert on crypto, but my understanding is that you have to keep a POS coin in a staking wallet in order to earn the interest.  Isn't that the case?  If that's true, then is it not possible that exchanges like yobit are NOT keeping POS coins for customers in a staking wallet?  I didn't think that if you kept coins like PIVX on an exchange, for example, that you'd be entitled to any interest on it, because it's not necessarily generating any.  I know if I hold PIVX in my Coinomi wallet, I won't be earning anything because it's not a staking wallet.

I'd like to hear responses to the above, and perhaps see how this is related to OP's problem.

I can see my wallet address on the blockchain and POS is being credited to it.
124 coins so far of POS and nothing of them shows in my wallet
It's even possible those scammers even gave me someone's wallet address to deposit at!!

yobit does this all the time. i don't think that it would come as a surprise to anyone, if they are benefiting from POS interest and not declaring that to the customer/not compensating customers for holding their funds when pos interest was earned.

I am trying to withdraw thousands of a POS coin from Yobit.
Transaction "in process" for the last 5 days. Complained to yobit and they didn't reply at all.
My coins have created 28 coins so far in profits (as per blockchain explorer) but none of those are showing up in my wallet. Yobit are obviously delaying the transaction to take these coins for themselves. There is no other explanation to this delay.

You didn't get your coins yet ??

Yobit is literally best known for their issues with dealing with customer funds, especially on the withdrawal end as they are not able to competently complete withdrawals half the time. The delays can honestly go on for months with no support.

I mean, they are still holding these coins in their own wallets, so they are the ones that are benefiting as a result from the PoS profits.

It's not really expected of any exchange to give you PoS profits per se, but in your case, clearly you've requested a withdrawal but they are just ignoring you at this point. You deserve the extra coins from PoS, but knowing how bad yobit support is, they will most likely not even give a crap about your withdrawal, let alone any profits on top of that withdrawal.

We are not NOT accusing YOBIT of a scammer, but they have SCAMMED a lot of people, Oh yes they have!!!

yobit never bothered to save his reputation

Yobit is delaying everything. I have made a GSR coin deposit five days ago and didn't receive it till now. There support told me that it will take time and went mute after that.

this is a problem that they have for years and I suspect they have a very small number of staff and that for that reason they can not provide a good service and this situation is getting worse every year.

Some scammers made a group at Telegram and asking people to pay money as a "security top up" and they asked me for 150$ payment.

they are taking advantage of the fact that yobit does not provide good service

Too many problems with that Yobit exchange. So, take care, my friends.

they no longer have that popularity that they had years ago, nowadays there are many better exchange than yobit

Thanks for caring about my case to this degree. I won't stop till i get my coins back PLUS the POS interest that they are generating on blockchain but NOT charged to my wallet !!

We know many people with same situation, cant withdraw, coins disappeared... and what about that LIZA project, over $ 2million already taken from investor.

One person sent us an email asking to investigate the LIZA token because they have lost over $3k in that LIZA invest box. One day was $3K next morning was worth $30 cents.

Maybe we will post our list of ICO SCAM Supporters- such as the big airdrop companies that help to make and to promote scams, traders that help to sell those scam tokens, etc..

It will be a bloodshed if we do that!

so what's the solution now?
Just wait?
Is there a chance i will get my coin back or is it all over?

I was forced to enter yobit something I have not done for months because I give up use yobit, but I logged into my yobit account to show you this:

see the date I sent the ticket asking for help and see the date they fixed the problem, so to say that they take time to respond to support tickets, but eventually they correct the problem, I believe they know people who are very active in chat and give priority to these people, I may be wrong in my theory, give me your details so I can send them a note asking them to help you, I do not know if they will answer me and solve your problem, but it will not hurt to try

I doubt that chat moderators will be able to help you. All they can do is mute people which they do on a regular basis, especially those who openly oppose some of yobit's shady doings. Never have I seen anyone have their problems solved by messaging on the trollbox to a moderator.

Yobit is obviously extremely shady, as I said, and these withdrawal and deposit delays happen all the time.

It's come to the point that it's become such a big problem that I think it's safe to say that they are intentionally doing it, potentially for the profit. Or perhaps even worse, they are already becoming insolvent. We don't know for sure, but don't use them.

Those names that have different color in the trollbox. Im not sure if the chat moderator there is still the one that I used to saw there.

They are active back then, just don't know if that is still the status today. You need BTC balance on your Yobit Wallet before you can used the trollbox. Last time I heard is BTC0.02 minimum.

also in my case it is not showing "Sending" as status with 0 confirmations.
It is simply saying "in process" and that's it!
does that mean something?

Did you receive an email containing the withdrawal confirmation link? Long time I quit using yobit so I do not know if they send by email the confirmation link of withdrawal, as for the moderator of yobit chat, you should see in yobit chat who has the green nick, his name is very strange, is something like Dominickzord something like that, I do not know how to write his name.
