The poll has been completed and the winning coin is ethereum

Thanks to all who voted and shared their opinions , just a heads up it was litecoin who was winning but suddenly more ethereum supporters showed up. Those who voted for litecoin don't worry eventually over time they will open litecoin also for investments

And also why do you guys say gambling as betting , both of them are way different from each don't confuse us

actually it is not so different, you do gamble on a site like yolodice (dice) and bet a certain amount of value on % chances, in the hope it hits or not...both go hand in hand.

whore-ray

When you think up on where those lose funds would go then you will able to say you would be on win-win situation but not all the times house will have +VE profits anytime on monthly basis which you would still end up on having negative in the end of the month considering that there are possibilities that there are players might be lucky on that case.
When we do talk about investment coin selection my vote goes to ETH and i had chose up in the poll. There are lots of argues between which coin should be chosen up but its obvious on which is more worth to be added.

Bump

Today's the last day I'll be ending this poll a bit early because there were no votes in the last 24 hours, both coins don't have a huge gap between them yet

Either or but LTC preferably just cause it's faster.

I don't know whether you're aware or not LTC block-time 2.5 minutes and Eth block-time 14-15 seconds.

Actually ETH much faster than LTC  Smiley.

Yes, I mistyped that.  Thanks for catching it.  Smiley

probably ETH for me,but LTC is good too
in this case the coins are pretty equal, but ETH seems to be a better choice overall:it is a faster growing crypto, shorter block times,agruably-more adoption and overall usage
I wonder if the TS is associated with yolodice in any way, cause he is acting like a comunity manager?

Not really, I just made this poll as Ethan was asking for opinions on the official thread but it would be hard to understand which coin the community prefers so instead I decided to make this poll as you all can know more about yolodice and help the site in deciding

The poll has been interesting lately , till now there are 20 people who have voted

to sum it up, ethan might open both coins for investment but the poll is for the decision which coin will be opened for investment first.

do not understand why this thread gets heated up cause people missunderstand each other.

we should keep it on sane level here :-P

PS: oh yeah. still my vote on LTC

So, basically, I implied that ethan should add investment coin which is more profitable and mostly used by gamblers at yolodice, and as this is topic about adding new coin for investment to yolo dice is it really necessary to mention in every single post that we are talking about yolodice and adding new investment coin?
to show that Ethan is asking opinion on opening the next investment feature NOT adding new coin
I'm sorry... that was a badly formed reply on my part to your "Why ethan doesn't add both coins?"
I was meant to say... Ethan is going with only one (of the two: ETH or LTC) at the moment,
and then he will probably add/open the other (of the two) later on
I was trying to emphasize on the single coin pick instead of 'both' at once, not the 'add' part
but it came out wrong and I said wrong thing about your comment Embarrassed

They are going to enable investments for either litecoin or ethereum which coin would you like to invest in?
I have kept this poll private for now and it will run for 7 days cast in your votes and if you got any suggestions feel free to share them
No questions asked, i would go for ETH if we do talk about popularity and i bet most investors would prefer this one but actually the thing comes to my mind why would need to choose one if they can give 2 options it would really be more ideal because it can extent and possibly get investors either from both sides.

Yeah, even if either of the two has a better profitable way then that would be good for the industry. Betting would be convenient with two or more ways of payments. The devs would also likely be finding more ways for the improvement of their site.
Seriously we didn't know if you have anything to discuss about the coin share here otherwise we don't want you to post things that we already know

I was actually pointing out to marlboroza explicitly by quoting Ethan
to show that Ethan is asking opinion on opening the next investment feature NOT adding new coin
You pointed me that because I said what exactly?

Surprisingly, before quoted part:

Was this part

OP which coin is more profitable? What players use mostly to gamble, ltc or eth? Maybe that coin should be added as investment option

"it's going to be easier to implement with the help of smart contracts perhaps"
implement here refers to implementation of the investment system,
if he could use smart contract for investment system, that would make it easier for him to distribute the profit share
I'm not sure if it's feasible, but that's my thought
This is what made me think that you didn't know, but yeah i don't think they need any sort of smart contracts as currently the gambling takes place on the site and not on the ethereum network so using smart contract for investment wouldn't be the right option

Sorry for the misunderstanding  Grin

Why ethan doesn't add both coins?  Undecided
But I guess we'll open one of ETH or LTC to investors soon. Which one would you prefer first?
he probably will open both, but needs people's opinion on which one is more appealing
I would say ETH, it's going to be easier to implement with the help of smart contracts perhaps?
Huh another person who doesn't know what we are talking about. Dude both litecoin and ethereum are already implemented on yolodice we are having this poll regarding which coin investments should be enabled

Dude... you the one who doesn't understand what I'm talking about!!
I'm not a native english speaker but I think my english is not that bad
Ethan posted: "But I guess we'll open one of ETH or LTC to investors soon"
so I replied: "he probably will open both"
read the context, that means open for investor, NOT open for dicing as you were thinking
I didn't say add, I was actually pointing out to marlboroza explicitly by quoting Ethan
to show that Ethan is asking opinion on opening the next investment feature NOT adding new coin
My guess is he needs opinion on which one is more appealling to investor

Anyday , ethereum also takes less fees than litecoin but again this is nowhere related to the topic as these are just features and are not going to have any affect if ethan enables investment for either one

LTC was mined. It didn't have an ICO.
Fair enough. I did not have the knowledge. Thanks.
If there is a situation that I have to pick one then my vote will be for ETH because I understand it better than LTC.
What is there to understand? You need basic knowledge how to create wallet and how to send transaction, how hard can it be?  Roll Eyes

That won't happen so fast , as ethan said he alone can't take any decisions and also think this from ethan view , currently they are using their own bankroll and ethereum and litecoin have generated so much profit , if investments were enabled they couldn't keep all the profits with themselves but have to share it with investors

OP which coin is more profitable? ...

You can check the stats for yourself at:
https://yolodice.com/#stats/game

At the time of writing:
~ 1057 LTC profit
~ 575 ETH profit

However, these stats are misleading, because a huge chunk
of these profits has been paid in out various competitions at YOLOdice.

Livecasino, 20% cashback, no fuss payouts.
At the end of the day, the coin itself will not matter as much as the tendency for people to go in and wager. You can always see for example, on sites that accept both Litecoin and Ethereum, that Litecoin enjoys usually more wagering that ETH. I don't have exact statistics, but you can even see DOGE get more wagering volume. It isn't about the tech or development, it's what gamblers like to use or have. And maybe Litecoin is "Easier" to gamble because psychologically, you can wager bigger numbers.

I'd probably go with ETH instead of LTC.
More people use it, including myself..
Brighter future.

do you think ethereum can give you more profit than litecoin if you hold it for long run, not trying to manipulate you all in the end it's your decision but think about it
No one knows which coin will bring more profit in future. ETH ICO price was $0.311, not sure how much was the LTC ICO price but I am pretty sure it was not much comparing to the current price. Ethereum is coming up with updates, same with LTC. May be I am not a forecaster so all things are a bit blurry here for me but one thing is sure for me: Both coins have good potential in the long run but I will take the side of Ethereum.

and this choice has been made sure to become the ETH that has the biggest vote. and memag it would be better if two of the coins are implemented on yolodice so that they have many options for the players, because we sometimes consider in terms of prices that may change at any time
Uh implemented these 2 coins are already there on yolodice we are talking about which coin yolodice should open for investments

unch, sorry I misunderstood this thread, yes if talking about yolodice investment we certainly will have different funding between ETH and LTC and maybe LTC will only be seen if we invest in long term. high LTC fingers only work on long-term capabilities,

Yes, ETH is better coin than LTC. But as an investor, I prefer both coins to be added because I won both of these coins so I can invest in bankroll to grow over the time. Also, it is good for the site as well because their bankroll will increase and many big whales may try on their site. If they want to add only one coin then most of the people prefer ETH over the LTC including me.

Life, Love and Laughter...
Dunno...  Personally I think LTC is mostly a dead coin from a technical development standpoint.  They just mostly take what's good from BTC.  Ethereum on the other hand is chasing a unicorn but at least they're pushing the envelope.  There's at least something there that could be good to learn from...

And ETH could go for a flippening this year (not that I think it will happen or anything...).  Grin

I think he had to make thread over post in Yolo's ANN thread. What's litecoin? It's just a clone of bitcoin but with scrypt hash function. So what we have left? Ethereum. Why? Because it's different and very unique coin with a lot of features, smart contracts and etc, don't forget - it's second on coinmarketcup and it's price don't depend on bitcoin as much as litecoin.
I would agree but honestly i did support ethereum first but when you see the price and in terms of profit ethereum price seems too high right now and litecoin is still undervalued. I want to buy litecoin make money from the site  (obviously it's not guarantee but telling a thing) and from the increase in price of litecoin

That's a bit braindead.

(I vote Ethereum btw).

Recently ethan (owner of yolodice ) posted this :

One of the top reasons why we keep LTC and ETH bankrolls private is that we can run this kind of competitions where we spend site profit on prizes, and hence the prize pool can grow. These kind of competitions really do their job in bringing new players, and players love them too - it often happens that prizes + rakebacks compensate potential losses for the top players. These are the opportunities some players are looking for and we gladly welcome them to YD.

But I guess we'll open one of ETH or LTC to investors soon. Which one would you prefer first?

Cheers,
Ethan
