We also format numbers the correct way in the UK.

i.e. £1,000,000.00

It's sad that something nearly immutable is the source of your frustration but if that's the most pressing issue that really grinds your gears, you are very fortunate.  Perhaps you could start a charitable organization to bring awareness to errant Europeans, make yourself the CEO and be rich in spite of it all.

It's damn non Americans expressing numbers with periods instead of PROPER comas.

For example:

Two hundred and fifty thousand is expressed thusly: 250,000

NOT 250.000
