I like robots yes , i have four in my kitchen they make the best coffee , fries , smoothies and more

I'm not against this, because nothing happens in vain (including technocratic progress), but we should not forget about nature - about the forest, fertile soil, in which a huge tree can appear from a small seed, about all this diversity of this world, about what was created by nature. I'm not sure that robots can replace for us what was created by nature, and I don't see any sense in this. But this doesn't mean that it cannot be studied. On the contrary, it is necessary! It would be ideal if modern science combined its developments with natural knowledge, wisdom and understanding of human spirituality.

Robots are interesting to me but I do not trust them to not malfunction and go against humans like in the movies Robocop.

Right now I have seen them in homes cleaning and drones in the sky but this is all I know about real life robots.

Yes I do, because basically robots are machines. Machines are defined as thing that makes work faster. The only downside though is that some labor workers might lose their job replacing them with machines.

but are these robot don't bring harm to us human or at least in our appliances?

i have never tried using  robot at house and i believe that being human it is our obligation and also added in our Healthy living.

But of course we have our own prerogative in life , Mine ? time is important but health is my priority.

Me too, I like robots a lot too. My favourite one is the cleaning robot at home. He saves so much time, worth it for every home.

On one side, I like robots if the robots can help me to do my task. On the other side, I am worried that robots can interfere with my life and control me because I do not want to see my life as excited anymore. But we can deny if the technology grows and the robot invented and many places using robots to help them. I think that era already starts but the robots need to develop more to have better robots.

Personally I really like robots, pleo I loved it but unfortunately its skin started to get damaged and the battery stopped working and I had to abandon it instead Cosmo I didn't like it that much it's very limited it is true that we can make him do through the mobile application various moves and preset circuits but for me it is too little, Maybe in the future I will try vector instead nao it is really expensive I would like to try it but it costs too much

Yes i like very much . Robots is not just a machine, it is the helping hand of the man in future. They never tired and bored and work honestly without any fraud.

I like robots.

Robots are always nice... I love them well, I actually met one a year ago but it was very basic robot capable of only moving and giving glasses of water etc but still the concept is so fantastic, I would love to live in a world which is filled with robots and hopefully we will be in that level very soon with our progresses!

Since I was a child I always like to be a cyborg and them in college I studied robotics and mechatronics.

I definitely like robots. My friend studied robotics, so at times he even showed his achievements from this field.

Who doesn't like Robots they are here to make our work easier but the thing is movies which we have seen showing the harsh faces of technologies really make me scared sometimes. It's understandable that Robots make our work easier but artificial intelligence can be harmful for humans as they can easily take over humans with man-month power.

That’s called progress mate,world will never be like yesterday and if you don’t adopt this surely you will be leaved behind.why need man power when we can risk robots?yeah in some way this effect the laboring system but if we will take a look in the brighter side for sure there’s a better answer

Well yes but I've never seen a robot with human size in person. I just often watch them on tv, if given a chance to see it personally then i'll be glad.

We need the robots to help us with our jobs especially those jobs that is dangerous for humans. I think the sad part of this is they might take over the jobs meant for us and people became lazy to work hard.

There are robots and robots. They are not supposed to be smart. They are suppose to help us. Think of software robots doing repetitive things, like repeating a macro you recorded. They must be usefull otherwise their lack purpose.

Came from the thread-near-by to say that robots are love Though they are a bit silly (for now) but it's only a matter of time before people learn how to make them smarter and more useful.

Not just gadget maybe in future they will become our best buddy as well.

Same thing was said about the industrial revolution. All those poor women would lose their sewing jobs... And yet it happened.

As for laziness, that shouldn't be a problem. People can get exercise, without the stress. In fact many people get exercise to get rid of the job induced stress.

Indeed little things like using bicycles, as done in many European and Asian countries would keep you both fit and healthy. American habits are, well, American. Try to balance your lifestyle, exercise is something like water and food, your body needs it even if you don't want to. You don't have to go pro sport player or anything, again little things like walking or climbing stairs when you can make a difference.

Automation is coming regardless of our opinions. I know some people are scared of driver-less cars, but that is coming. Ships and planes are driving on their own for the most part with humans being mere operators supervising operations.

When people mention robot, i don't think anthropomorphic human like beings, there are many robots in use in the industry, doing repetitive endless tasks, such as welding or painting cars. And yes, that replaced a bunch of human work, but advances in technology cannot be undone. Its like trying to undo Bitcoin, its already here, you cannot go back to a world without it anymore.

People will have to adapt, as always.

A robot is a machine that follows instructions. Basically a computer with movable parts. Remember that this is not necessarily tied to AI or even sentience, that is a whole different matter. but yes, that is also coming.

Oh, did you know the work computer meant actually females doing math? Pre-WWII computer meant, a room filled with women doing math, computing trajectories and such... Because the men were in the front killing each other. Which is why there were so many women involved in early (machine) computer projects. Oh and they were employed in crypto too, blame the British and their secret project involving Turing and others.

I guess nobody misses those lost jobs. Oh did you know phones had to be connected manually by, a human operator too? Oh and letters wouldn't be "printed" by themselves, in the past someone had to either write or typewrite those...

I like the idea of robots helping us do our daily jobs but robots totally taking over our jobs is not a good thing. If humans no longer have to work then the life span of humans will shorten because we will become lazy because there are already robots that will do our works. Everybody knows the animated movie WALL-E right? Just look at how the people there looks like. It is not bad to have robots in our lives as long as there are limitations

Well, i have never seen a robot nor been around one but i do hate them, taking away the jobs of real people and being unabe to die. I don`t `like robots.

Its just like when the industrial revolution took place. Robots are machines, but even more specialized and delicate, depending. Some are industrial crane like contraptions doing the same boring and repetitive thing again and again and again 24/7 in a production line.

Of course robots don't necessarily need to have AI, that is an entirely different matter. Yeah, before departing i remember Hawking joining that grim group of Elon Musk and others warning about the consequences of AI, and how we most prepare to deal with it. Musk proposes enhancing humanity...

I don't know if there will be a Skynet or a pacific coexistence. Perhaps neither. Then comes the matter of self awareness and sentience...

But i guess that deserves a new thread.

I believe robots are the future, but i'm a little bit scared of them as Stephen Hawking said: Robots is the last thing humankind will ever create.

I met one in company presentation last year and I might say I like them

But for me their basic function must not effect what people has because for me human touch is still much better than no feeling workers at all specially those with contacts physically for humans

I like toy robots but never encountered the real thing that's human sized.

Sadly that's the reality and they can possibly take over a lot of jobs and soon most of processes will be automated because of them.
