How long will it last? That's the real question

The bear cycle will eventually come, but I hope we don't see anything like 2014-2015
It is too early to expect that the bear is gaining power. I believe that bull is not tired yet. I checked google, no big coverage on bitcoin's recent up surge unlike 2013, maybe we can expect more media coverage after testing $1000 and that will take it into $1500 as a new ATH. Then only the cycle of bear may start as per the sentiments of new investors.

It is very unlikely if we will ever see BTC price dropping below $600, certainly not without 'help' of some major negative news,
like another big exchange hack, really unfavorable anti-bitcoin law pushed etc. Plus, we had halving this year, it is a big factor keeping price high.
Minimal bitcoin price must gradually rise over time, we can't gravitate in $500-$700 price range for years.
Bear will surely be seen when this price increase rally ends since most of investors or traders will surely sell off their coins and they are definitely just waiting for the highest peak on this rally.Bear is expected already on my part. This is the thing i dont like to be happen on bitcoin price when it tends to move up a new bad news will come out that will really affects its price but i dont think it would dip its price on -$600..$700+ would be realistic.

If sell at the bottom of every correction and then rebuy as a new high is made and you are still way up on your trades, you might be in a bitcoin rally

Sign of a rally:
I've had several people ask me about bitcoin recently.  They know I am involved with it because I have recommended it as an investment for a few years.

They are good traders/investors, trading stocks, options, and futures but not crypto to this point.

I don't take their interest as a worrisome sign of a bubble.  These are serious investors, not greater fools looking for a quick buck.
The same thing has happened with me too concerning series of people asking about bitcoin but majority of them only interested in the earning and increase in price parts and nothing else. These set of people are the ones responsible for the massive speculation and drive the price ahead but the bone of contention is what will happen when they now get to understand that it takes time then they may bolt and further drive the price down... Those ones are really the rally calibre...

I've been going through a very similar situation with several serious investors taking a profound interest in bitcoin. I think that this is all in all a good sign for bitcoin. On the other hand, I hope that bitcoin ETFs do not hit the market any time soon as bitcoin is not ready for it yet.

Thats awesome description of whats happening. An ordinary schmuck is finally making money online is terribly proud of it.

So he invite other ordinary schmucks, that are hugely impressed, that even such a schmuck as him can earn few bucks. So in the end all ordinary folks reinvent bitcoin a new. Until some time later came the posts like  - What has happened ?why bitcoin price went down. Is bitcoin dead? etc etc.
