Without learning proper basic knowledge about cryptocurrency and also about the policy and rules of the crypto market nobody can make a brilliant post. If you need merits please make an informative post rather than begging merit and be not over smart. Just keep focusing on the forum.

I've been seeing many topics about how begging for merit is bad and will lead to ban
Begging for merits on the forum is not allowed but it's punishment is definitely not a ban, the rules states one shouldnt beg for merits excessively, but I doubt if there is any stated punishment for offenders.
Most times they simply get ignored, and definitely hardly get any merits

There might be less chances of you getting merit if you ask for it honestly. Because that's the rule you can say. You don't beg for it yet you earn for it. I have seen many people with so many activities yet just 1 merit. Okay it's cool that you post and you are active but instead of posting meaning less comments in order to increase your activity rate rather then researching something informative about it and sharing it with everyone in here is do not cool. People who are our seniors like in ranking have earned  the merits by doing so much effort and putting up a useful information for the newbies so that we can learn rather than begging for merit. Why do we think we'll get merit this easily just by begging for it? You will only earn it when you will learn it.

It's funny how you get a merit for no effort and trash talking the OP this proves that the merit source system has a big problem and needs to be updated

It's funny to see how these people can't moved on about the merit system. Begging for merit in a disguised way is an old trick. Instead of literally making post in a shitty way, why don't you educate yourself about what cryptospace is there maybe you can earn merits if you have a deeper knowledge about something.

My gosh, I'm a newbie also but is there really a need to argue on how anyone can earn a merit? This very unprofessional. Thare is no need to beg for merit and of course there is no need to brag your merit as well. IMHO

earning merits seems realy hard for newcomers. You have to know a lot of about cryptocurrency to be useful for community. Ok, it's time to read and learn!

How did you come to the conclusion that new members have trouble earning merits? You have just registered here and have zero posts apart from this one.

Frankly, this looks like a signature spammer trying to rank one more jr.member account and what better way to do it than to create a new account without a shitposting history.

Come on, people!  Angry
Aren't we done with the Merit related topics yet? It's enough now! We are tired of reading all these useless posts and topics that discuss the same thing over and over again without serving any purpose to the forum nor have any new things to discuss.
Don't you guys get anything else to talk about, at all?  Undecided
Obviously not when we will not be able to get merits. LOL
And maybe that's why you will never get one. Roll Eyes

I chatted with a senior member of this forum after I notice almost all his posts or comments he made got merited. I asked for his secret and guidelines his replies got me thinking he said;
(1). "Stop searching for merit and you will get them i.e stop commenting or posting just to get merits." so I stop and to my surprise I got merited for the first time in this forum and the funny part is, it was not even my best comment (in which i was using to search for the merits).

(2). I should see Smerit as liabilities to myself and an Asset to others and give them away to deserving users immediately I get them. I did that few days ago and i just notice that merit i sent save another user from being demoted.

All I'm saying is, instead of commenting/posting to get merits do those act to add value to other. Hoping this post inspire someone to do the right thing.

Edited: Take this post as an example, it was written to advice others and now it is getting the merits I never had.

Merit will be coming automatically when your post is much informative and high qualified. For making your post strong enough you need to achieve knowledge and have to learn a lot of things. Without learning anything you should not expect something better to keep learning and except begging merits.

It is not that easy buddy. Starting a constructive might not helped as well to get merit. I had done this post (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.47387768)
constructively as best as I can but it does not work out. I was curios as what the feeling to get merit/s. Anyway, that won't stop me on continuing to venture with my endeavors of cryptocurrency. I am planning also to invest in BTC seems like everyone where talking about bull run in the market. I do not know but it seems like the BTC graphs show great volatility and good for trading like stock market exchange.

In order for a post to be considered constructive and to be evaluated withmerits, it`s not enough for it to contain some extensive information. I read your post and the first thought that I had was "I have read this before a hundred of times". Comments should be relevant, interesting and new, and not repeat the same thoughts that were expressed on the forum several times (no matter how ingenious this idea originally seemed). The bitcointalk is growing and evolving, so participants must do the same. Otherwise, your posts will be perceived as hackneyed and non-original.

Begging merit is like a coward. If you are worthy and qualified then merit will come automatically bro but your post has to be meaningful and informative too. The meaningless post will make you down instead of getting up. So learn what actually are requires to do well in cryptocurrency rather than begging something.

You will only earn it when you will learn it.

Not everyone on the bitcointalk can and should earn. Participating in signature campaign is a privilege, not a common practice. Therefore, the accumulation of your own knowledge doesn`t ensure that you`ll receive money for your posts. It`s not enough just to understand the topic and learn something for yourself. Bitcointalk is a forum, which means that people here communicate and share information and thoughts in the intersubjective practices. You should improve your English, because what you write is very difficult to understand. No matter how ingenious and supported by the arguments was your thought, if you aren`t able to arrange it properly, noone will hear it.

Okay. Can we please stop making unnecessary topics about merits now? This is seriously getting too redundant. The merit complaint topics have decreased, and now we've been getting these kinds of topics. Baiting for merits in a not-so-subtle way.
This drama will never end because most of the newcomers were totally good actors and actress. They're not possibly new here and just registering another alt accounts. As this one user said is actually true.

We still have to wait for their will be another threads like this. So, if they will not get tired of starting a thread like this then we should not also stop posting and discussing to them what is the relevance of merit system or other factors.about thr forum.

<…> you better ask it to google with a word "Bitcointalk" <…>
That is true, many questions one will have regarding crypto and/or this forum have likely been answered before, and one should search around before posting to see if they can get there answer from what’s already posted on the forum.

Nevertheless, one thing we need to be very wary about is how we search: You can either use the forum search feature, of Google it, but on this latter case with care. If you search with the keyword “Bitcointalk”, amongst the google result you may encounter results that point to one of the various Bitcointalk look-alike phishing sites (namely, the one that comes up most is the one that ends with the “.to” domain). Reading a link on these phishing sites should not create an immediate problem, but it’s when you need to login to reply or whatever, that your account will be compromised by logging into the wrong site.

You need to be extra cautious because of the above, and it would even be better if you use the following format to be on the safe side:
Code:
site:bitcointalk.org  searchTerms

These beggars asking for a merit should be reported. Most questions being raised to this thread was already asked by someone so if you are seeking to an answer, you better ask it to google with a word "Bitcointalk" and it will automatically link you to that thread where most answers are accurate with the questions. Instead of keep replying to that thread with baseless information, you better share a useful thread that was already raised or created by someone with a clear presentation and instructions.

It's high time we just let this merit related post go down. There has already been hundreds of post prior to this one all claiming to have the secrets to merit all just been a cover up to get merit.

The truth is there is no secret to getting merit. When you do what is worth merit you would know it deep down in you. Best just avoid making merit post. We are here to discuss about bitcoin and not merit.
