Losing someone who was always there for you is a deep pain that can never be completely filled. Your father sounds like a very helpful person, and it's great that he was there to help you get started in the world of cryptocurrencies. You should be proud of everything you've done and how you've kept going even when things didn't go as planned. You have my deepest condolences for your loss.

I have seen so many families were I feel that the parents especially the fatheris not very careful about the children.
I am not yet a father, but I know if I become one and my children start growing, I will know every move of my child if they are being successful  or they are being unserious with their lives.

I have known so well, how children who are in the right lane behave and I also know how the ones that are on the wrong lane behave. Your body language might have shown your father that you are on the right lane and he gave you all the support you needed.
My condolences.

Praying for him is the best way rather than lamenting your father's departure, I'm sure everyone will feel broken if one of the people he loves must go faster than this world.

Op. I'm not talking about Bitcoin or whatever you receive from your father's support, but there is one reason for you to continue to remember and remember the father who has raised you, prayer is the most effective weapon to appreciate the services of life that has ever been given to you. No need to lament for too long to depart your father, because at the right time everyone must leave this world, me, them and all of them.

Mourning the departure of your father. God willing, you are strong

He said, do not give up, who knows? This could be the next big thing in the future. And his favorite quote is " this Life doesn't wait for anyone, things evolves very fast" ... I am able to be who I am today because of my father, while many people have a different story about their spouse when it comes to Cryptocurrency and Bitcoin, mine was different and very supportive.

Those are really nice lines said by your father and may those lines be followed by everyone in this life. Obviously he said it out of his own experience and his life might have flashback right in front of him that's why he said them so generously.

That made me think, I should be more engaged with crypto. I must keep adding more enthusiasm to it and the way I work around it. Because truly, we do not know what's lying in the life ahead. Bitcoin could go crazy high, it may go to zero, there might be another type of technology, more advance and more liked.

Its better to accept it and be with it fullest.

And for those who don't have any supporters, do not blame them, older people find Bitcoin very confusing.

They might. It is just that, they saw fiat and mostly paper bills from their childhood and that's why they would be confuse about it. But no worries, we are modern, we should keep up the pace with it and le them know about bitcoin all the time.

so sorry for your loss. It is rare seeing elderly supporting bitcoin more especially the uneducated ones. They assume you are a fraudster but from what you have said, it seems your father is learned and educated to have made such comment. From what you have said he really supported you in the course of your journey into bitcoin and crypto. He will forever be missed. Please accept my sincerest condolence and may his soul rest in peace.

This is sad.
Having people to support you is alrwady hard to achieve and what more if it would be your own parent. Unfortunately, this is how hard life is; we just cannot tell time. Looking on the brighter perspective, for sure he would be glad to know that you are doing this for your future despite of the risks involved. I think this is something every father would want their kids to be; to be courageous. Do continue what you think will lead you for a betterment of the situation. I know he's one of your biggest suporter but atleast give credits to yourself, your father would more be glad of that. We'll all reach that point in our lives so be sure to cherish your present; invest and live a better life someday.

Really, this is very sad news to hear but someone will die when the time comes.
OP I hope you don't have to regret your father's death and you just have to let him go forever because it's a fate that no one can avoid. You just have to thank your father and wish him all the best for raising you and introducing you to bitcoin before his death, and it is an honor you have when you want to remember him.

My condolences on the death of your father, he was important to you and he contributed lot in your life. Stay strong and keep moving, you can.

My condolences for the loss of your father who was so instrumental in your journey in bitcoin so far, he is perhaps an encouragement for his son to never just give up.

I feel how to lose a father figure even though he doesn't understand anything about bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies but he supports what I do including work here in trade and investment so losing this figure makes me weak but I realize and have to get up to continue working in the field of cryptocurrencies.

So keep loving close people who support you in bitcoin because basically they want to see us succeed even though some of them don't follow in their footsteps but I will still thank those who have remained close to me.

For OP, I hope you will still be fine.

It is true that you have families that support, and do not blame the older people. Since you have known bitcoin, make it to be serious. When you're sarious on it, you can surpport your self in future and others. Because families can disappoint anytime and any moment. If you depends on families you can missed your next generation. If you sit at home and depending on your family, you well missed forevere and you missed. People alway looking to their families surpport, the reason people forever missed. I just remembered my uncle also; he as been 10 years and he still hurts a lot. As time goes by you learnt and accept it. It really  feels like pain, but you can accept it now .but it is not everyone that missed.

So sorry for your loss mate. I am sure he's still watching over you from above. You may not have him with you right now, but what he left will be with you for the rest of your life. May he rest in peace.
Now it's time to keep holding on him memories and lessons and pass it over to your next generation the way he did. We need people like him if we are going to build a safe society for our next generation.

There is nothing more painful than losing someone that supports you through and through.

Not long ago, I lose my father (74 years old), it's been 3 weeks now, he was the reason why I was able to confidently continue my crypto journey with no hurry, he has never for once told me that I am wasting my time, I remember one morning in 2018, he called me and told me
please accept my condolences. I pray we do enough for our love ones before it's too late. May his soul rest in peace

I just remembered my grandmother also; it has been 5 years, and still it hurts a lot. As time goes by, you will learn to accept it, like it really feels like pain, but you can accept it now. I know you've been through a lot right now, but your father wouldn't want to see you struggling. Keep visiting him at the cemetery, do everything you want, and earn more bitcoin than your father wants. Wherever he is right now, he is sure proud of you!
5 years is already long but no matter how long it is, as long you love that person a lot or you have shared a lot of good memories with them, you will never forget them in your hearts. The OP might still feel the pain because the death of his father is still fresh but he should remain to be strong.

Even though our loved ones have already perished, in this world I think they can still see us and if only they can speak, they will tell you to get up. The OP is lucky to have a supportive father in terms of Bitcoining. What he said is true that the majority of our parents aren't like that but I believe they still support us on any other things. This is something that we must appreciate.

If you have families that support you on your journey, even when they don't entirely understand, consider yourself lucky and take good care of them before it's too late.

I must start by saying that you are a very lucky guy mate, in my entire family, I am the only person who is into bitcoin, my father is late, my biology mum is also late, I currently have my step mum as my mum and she's very old currently, aside my step brothers, my late mum only gave birth to just me and my younger sister, none of my step brothers are interested in Bitcoin though I've tried to bring them on board several times, they always feel that bitcoin is a scam waiting to happen,  I left them alone when I discovered they could never believe anything I tell them to convince them that bitcoin was very legitimate.

Rest in peace to your dad, for him to have known about bitcoin when he was alive, and to even encourage you to get involved, simply means he was a very open man who opened himself to opportunities , this is very commendation, and I wish him eternal rest with his creator.

My condolences, I somehow can relate to your story, my father was also the reason why I could and I had my crypto journey, he supports me back then didn't pressure me to seek for a regular job back when I was starting in crypto and believes that I wasn't wasting my time on it.
I remember him buying me my first laptop so that I could focus on crypto and didn't need to rent or go to any internet cafe.

My condolences there mate. We understand your grief and yes treasure every moment you have to the person who keeps supporting you through and through. One of the best things in the world is to have someone who supports you unconditionally or someone who wont question you for every decision you'll make in life as long as it is always good for you. Crypto or non crypto related it is always assuring to have someone like that in your life, how much more when it comes to financial decisions? You can be more confident when taking risks or you can their second opinion when deciding things.

OP, Whenever a person loses loved ones, he will feel guilty towards them. This doesn't just happen to you. But you cannot live in constant stress and constantly think about it. Believe me, those who leave do not want to see you discouraged. There is a good expression: "Do not pay child support to blame." You did everything you could for your father during that time. You have become wiser; this is life. I believe that any normal parent should believe in their children until the very last hour, guide them, and support them. You have learned a good lesson from your father; now you can follow his example with your children.
In fact, it's very cool when children develop a good relationship with their parents; it once again shows what a good person your father was.

Condolences to you.

Losing somebody especially a family member that's very supportive to whatever decisions that you made is always very heartbreaking. I've never experience the same thing as you currently, but I know that there will be a time where I will be experiencing what you're experiencing right now and I don't know if I'm ready for it. Like you, I also have a supportive parents though at first, they aren't, but as months pass by, they slowly supported me and just let me do the things that I want especially when it comes to cryptocurrency.

As a family-oriented person, I'm very lucky that I have a family on my side and supports me. I want to take care of them and don't want to leave them behind that's why I choose to stay here in my place rather than going outside my country and work there.

He's on a better place now and as for you, there will be a time where you will be moving on and moving forward after what happened. To all of us, take his final words and always put it on our mind.

I'm sorry you missed your father. Having someone who is supporting your journey and where you can become from zero to hero is a lucky in life, it will be a good thing if many parents trust their children through Crypto activities, because due to some countries activities, such as unemployment of young adults people, not everyone can feed through government properties or jobs, bitcoin has changed many people's lives that we are all seeing today, even the people who work under government can not good enrolment, i advise we let our parents understand how Crypto makes life easy, to make them support our movement, parents support and blessing are very good in any successful journey.

My condolences OP. The one thing you got to do to ensure that you honour him in his death is to not abandon your interest in Bitcoin, which he supported while alive. Also, to be more successful and enlighten other folks around who still see Bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general as rocket science, mostly the older ones who has shown interest.
Nothing can replace the loss of a loved one, but we can honour their memory by sharing the best part and how they influenced us positively, to the world.

Well, sometimes, someone's advice will be more meaningful and we will think much more when they have been not in this world. Moreover, if we ignore their advice when they are still here with us. That's a big pain for me.

But that is what we can learn sometimes, there may be some painful experiences to be passed. Whatever the painful condition, we must take the precious lessons. So, starting from now, remember his advice and do much better for the shake of your much better life, for you and your family.

The death of a loved one can be heartbroken at times when you remember how the person stood by you and encourage you when nobody does. I know how shocking and unbelievable for you to accept and absorb the reality that your loved bitcoin father who has been supporting you all this while is no more to eat the dividends of your crypto earnings. That's sad to imagine. I have experience that before and I know how it feels. Please do accept my sincere condolences

It hurts to be separated from loved ones, especially our guardians who provide us with assistance. My father 60 years old, seriously ill, and still alive, but my dad really tried to persuade him to enter the room. Instead of trading futures or spot, my father chooses to stock his portfolio with bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, which he always sells during the bull market because he views these activities as stressful. He taught me that strategy and I hope that it has helped me grow more self-assured and gain a lot of experience in the cryptocurrency space. He buys when the market is bearish and sells when the bull season arrives.

Feeling sorry for your father from my heart. Have patience because everyone must face the brutal truth that we all leave this world one day. Your father was a brilliant man, I have nothing to add. He always supports you because he understands the potential of Bitcoin. I want my father to have a long life while he is still around. Nonetheless, despite not being read, my father supports technological advancement. Everything is becoming digital as the world moves quickly. I explained to him how Bitcoin actually works. When he realized that he had been helping me up until this point and that I had eventually become established mainly due to cryptocurrency. Hence, I can't forget about my family's support for cryptocurrency.

I'm sorry for your loss. Your dad sounded awesome for supporting and encouraging you to explore Bitcoin. It's really cool that he knew so much about it, since a lot of parents don't really get into their kids' interests. We all know that losing someone close to you is never easy, and it's okay to take the time you need to heal, but it's clear that your father had a positive impact on your life. Our Condolence.
If your whole family supports you with what you are doing while you are yet not successful, you are lucky. You only need your father, one person in life that believes in you and it could already alter the future. But I'm guessing your father must have learned something about BTC in that podcast and he has visions for the future. So many people wanted to be in your shoes where they wanna feel someone is behind them all the time that never gives up.

Let his soul rest in peace. Not everyone get such support when it comes to cryptocurrency. Not much of the older people are aware of cryptocurrency. Even the known persons have fear, whether to invest. This is common, and what OP's father have done to him is really appreciable. Every parent wants their children to have better life. For that they do many sacrifices. We people never understand it when they're alive and we'll understand when they're no more with us.

I'd like to extend my deepest condolences man. Losing your number one support system is just hard especially for someone who's taking a different approach in life. In any case, I don't want you and most likely your father wouldn't want you to beat yourself up for "not being there for him", trust me man, when you look back at all those things you did with your dad, you'd be able to say that you enjoyed every bit of it with no regrets whatsoever, although of course, the lingering feeling of missing what was lost will always remain.

Take all the time you need to grieve and recuperate man. It's hard enough to lose your support system, let alone a father as well. You take all the time to heal, and keep up with your bitcoin journey, I'm pretty sure and the whole community could vouch for this when I say that he'll be proud of you if you carry on with it.

Yes you are right. It is always very important when relatives support you in your endeavors, even if difficulties and problems arise along the way. Like, for example, btc falls, if we talk about crypto currencies.

On the other hand, if your relatives don't understand anything in btc, then you can simply not tell them about your hobbies. After all, it's your life and live it the way you want to. No need to wait for the approval of others and their guides. Especially if they are no longer young, which means they are at least distrustful of everything unusual and new for them. I have long believed that btc is not for the elderly. With the exception of a few, most will be hostile to it. What can I say, even people of a young and conscious age are extremely cautious in relation to btc.

Sorry for your loss OP, but I have to say that I find looking at the father-son relationship through bitcoin-holder lens (and referring to him as Bitcoin Father) as a bit creepy.
I know we're on Bitcoin forum, but the cult-like vibe here can be really offputting. Bitcoin is just a tool, not some magical purpose of life.
If you want to honour your father, be a good man with a strong moral spine and raise your own children well, to keep the bloodline going. Don't shift too much focus and energy on trivial things like bitcoin holding.

Condolence to the departed soul, one thing about being privileged is that some people were sorrounded by those that will demoralized them with lits of discouragements towards starting or trying out new opportunities in life while some are so blessed with the right mind thinking people who will also contribute in their own little support towards your goals realization in life, many fear bitcoin from the beginning because they don't want to risk loosing it all while those that risk it finds it worth it, they also got encourage by those around them and can never forget in life.

Please accept my condolences. My parents never said that what I was doing was wasted. Maybe people see it as pointless, but we believe that what we do can bring change to our lives. It's only a matter of time.

If you don't have supporters, don't be afraid and worry because as long as you don't do anything bad, you can continue it and don't listen to what other people say if they underestimate you. I love your father's quote, "Life waits for no one, everything progresses so fast." That's very true. It is we who have to adjust to life.

Deep condolences to you mate and we can just imagine how much pain you might be feeling at this time but stay strong always and make your father proud by successfully succeeding in your crypto journey.Frankly saying not many parents are supporting their children when it comes to crypto line as it's risky and they want something solid so really happy that your father motivated you in this space. So hope you strong future ahead so his dream is fulfilled.

Not long ago, I lose my father (74 years old), it's been 3 weeks now, he was the reason why I was able to confidently continue my crypto journey with no hurry, he has never for once told me that I am wasting my time,
Not many parents are supportive of their children especially when they are not doing what they are used to. Some parents are quick to come to the conclusion that what you are involved in is a waste of your time. I understand why you will miss your father so much because he is one in a million. I hope you become a father like him that will be supportive to your children and not make decisions for them.

My condolence.

Condolences. I agree to you that we should look back to those people that have supported us with our bitcoin journey. Those that never mocked us yet encouraged us despite that no one knows the future of bitcoin.
I'm also fortunate that I've got my family on my back and supported me when I've told them that I'll be pursuing my investments in bitcoin and a few altcoins and they never said anything bad with what I do but instead, they've given me a reminder that I can do anything I want and turn to anywhere if my decision and journey didn't go well.

It's fortunate that my parents are still alive, but just thinking about them dying is a very unpleasant feeling, let alone if it really happened, it's a really scary thing. Hope those who still have parents take good care of them, don't let them regret it until they're gone.

OP, my condolences on your loss, your father was a wonderful man. My dad doesn't know about bitcoin, but he also knows I'm investing in it, he always supports me and never complains about what I choose.

OP, I’m sorry for your loss. It’s really painful losing a parent. More painful losing one that loves ad supports you in anything you want to do. I know first hand how unsupportive a parent can be so I can understand the bond you must have shared with your pop. A supportive parent would always have you back no matter how bad it would get.  He would surely be missed and would remain with you in your heart.
People often wish they took more care of their parents while they were still alive.

Very important story to write in the forum, I'm with you man. Your father was right to tell you don't stop, don't give up.  Bitcoin is the freedom we all aspire to and perhaps your father already knew this.

Please accept my condolences.
May his perfect soul rest in peace. It's nice knowing that you had a father who supported you through your journey in Bitcoin world. I really wish I had one too. My own dad doesn't want to even here anything about cryptocurrency or even online trading he despise them alot. You should continue remembering all the advice your father gave you they will guide you in life.  You shouldn't have any regrets just stay put and strong. I really wish I also had someone who supports me too. Once again my condolences brother.

Accept my condolences mate.
Your father must have been very educated to have pay attention to bitcoin to an extent telling you to venture into. Well there's something my people often say "Whenever you sleep and wakeup that is where your morning starts counting" meaning whenever you get the right information that's when you start making your findings and putting more effort to utilize the information, we must not wait to be gingered by people to venture into something rather praying for the right information to gets to our hands at the right time.

Condolences.

I think it would be nice if you could make a tribute to your father by creating a bitcoin transaction that has a customized messaged in it which can also be seen on the blockchain. You can do it in Electrum using the OP_RETURN function alongside with the message that is converted into base16(Hexadecimal) just like this!

"You will forever be missed" = 596f752077696c6c20666f7265766572206265206d6973736564

Code:
OP_RETURN
596f752077696c6c20666f7265766572206265206d6973736564

You can use testnet for practicing though!

There is nothing more painful than losing someone that supports you through and through.

Not long ago, I lose my father (74 years old), it's been 3 weeks now, he was the reason why I was able to confidently continue my crypto journey with no hurry, he has never for once told me that I am wasting my time, I remember one morning in 2018, he called me and told me about a podcast he listened to on the radio, he said they talked about Bitcoin on the radio and this makes it very important.

The only regret I have is, not being able to take good care of my Bitcoin Father, I feel like I never did enough for him at all, he will forever be missed.

If you have families that support you on your journey, even when they don't entirely understand, consider yourself lucky and take good care of them before it's too late.

And for those who don't have any supporters, do not blame them, older people find Bitcoin very confusing.
