Is there any one on here who is Mining coins using solar panels and inverters? I would like to know how good this is, I heard it's the best way to get rid of electricity hassle for good, I'm not worry about the cost though, just want to know the performance
Buddy is a bad idea. You will need a lot of time to return the investment. This essentially does not make sense. I could have calculated everything for you, but I don’t know where you are from. (The pricing policy for solar panels differs in different countries)

I think it can stay here as there are miners who like to mine altcoins (mainly ethereum miners for example) and it does involve some discussion so it is sort of altcoin discussion.

Electricty is the most important thing when it comes to mining, do not forget that you will spend most of your money paying back that bill instead of anything else, however there is also other stuff like maybe your card breaking down and you needing to buy another one, or maybe you use it so much that eventually it doesn't work, no card really works over 5 years so always arrange like you will make a profit in less than 3 years or you will face some bad news. All that in mind, if you can build solar panels and make it work, you can also sell that power as well, so you have to compare which one brings in more profits.

Mining coins with solar power requires a very high investment cost and a very long return time. If you have all the elements, such as having a big fortune, living in a place where the sun is shining brightly, and having patience, mining solar coins seems like a good choice.

Mining solar coins has many advantages and disadvantages, besides it also depends on the environmental conditions in which you live.
If you are in a place where the sun is strong and the air is less polluted, mining coins with solar power is probably a good choice. You can then control the energy spent on mining coins.
If the place where you live the sun is poorly lit and polluted, solar coin mining may not seem feasible.

The thing you must considered when you are starting on mining is that you need a good set of environment in which you need an cold environment so that the mining platforms that you are using will not be overheat.

OP, just follow what replied above. This is not an appropriate board to know about mining.
But just ask first this in your self for the first step of being miner, is mining profitable in your place? Just calculate the electricity cost and you should know how much it will consume electricity per day. Good luck with your mining business.

With batteries, solar panels and some calculations it's possible, I suggest you find a qualified personal to get things set up for you or you might end up killing everything, YouTube is a good place to start if you think you can handle it yourself

Its just same as the electricity, all you are going to do is to give electricity from solar panels which will be very cost effective when we compare it with other form of electricity but you need huge capital to set up mining solar panels and it may need regular maintenance as well to get full effective while storing energy from sun light.

If it's always sunny in your country you can go on with it, certainly it will be very costly to set that up but you can find good tutor and video on YouTube to fill your taste and also learn one or two tricks

I do not do mining, but I think this is a great idea for countries where the sun shines very brightly and can power batteries for a very long time. it is impossible to use solar panels in my country and in my city because the sun is very rare

I don't know the money calculations, but it could be the solution for after halving if the price doesn't go up fast.

Solar mining is for the riches who doesn't mind recovering the money spent quickly, if you want to build solar mining farm do not expect to get the solar money back, you can easily get the money you spent on rigs back but not the solar because it will take years

But at least you can use your set up solar power, you don't have to pay for electricity, although it will take years to get your ROI but the life span of solar power is over 20 years, you can set up any business that uses solar power to replace solar mining power it's still a win situation because of the solar power's longevity.

I suggest moving your thread to the Mining board, there are lots of advanced guys when it comes to mining. Smiley Meanwhile, I found some threads (some of them are quite old, but maybe they're just what you need):

Moving the thread to the Mining board will get your questions answered for sure. AFAIK, the solar mining idea is more of a headache than an investment and it's pretty hard to recover the sums you spend on solar panels & power storage. But I'm no mining expert so you better ask the right guys! Smiley
