Anyone who is into trading must have had some ugly experiences and also some good memories that either changed their lives or improved their financial status. We all know trading is risky and can cause emotional trauma if not seen and taken in two ways, either positively or negativily, either you win or you lose.It can be good and at the same time can make you sad.
What are those bad and good experiences you've had ever since you started trading?

One of my worst experience in crypto trading was when I was in more than 50% profit instead of taking profit and close the trade thinking that the price would continue to pump, unfortunately due to greediness I left the trade without putting a Stop Loss Lo and behold when I came back to check my account was already in liquidation,  having traded with a high leverage using Isolated Margin, that was the first I experienced the high volatility of cryptocurrency price, honestly I felt bad and I was emotionally down that day  I had to summon courage and move, though I quit trading for some time.

This is a pretty common mistake in trading because we are controlled by our greed. I think all of us experience this and that we want to earn more. That is why others are just going to hit and run or just set a daily goal and if they achieve it then they will not trade again on that day because, I don't know what the explanation behind this , but the market will kind of take those profits from you if you are still trading even if you already hit your goals.
This is pretty much the definition of overtrading, a good trader takes whatever the market gives them and they are happy with it, however when greed takes over traders try to force themselves and make more trades than what the market is offering them, and what happens to them? They lose money of course, as we cannot force the markets to move as we want, we are the ones that must adapt to them, and if we fail then we will have to pay the price, which in most instances is to suffer some losses during that particular day.

That is called a strategy, people with strategy will focus on just that and they will buy and hold and sell when the time comes and that is how they make their profit, they are smart people and I try to be like them as much as I possibly can.

However, there comes a time when things change a lot and we end up with something much worse, which I believe could be a bit of an issue in the long run, the "fools eye", I don't know what it's called in English but a person who is mesmerized by the beauty of something and can't move or talk, you see it growing higher, and you are seeing how much profit you are making, and you get stuck and can't do anything, those people make the biggest loss.

Buy high Sell low.

This is usually happening whenever i do get fomo'ed on which this is always been ending up a disaster and a never forgettable moment and this is where we do really learn up our lessons.
Each of us would really be experiencing the same and this is something inevitable, some could be able to handle out and some do easily quit out.
Its up to yours whether you would continue for this kind of goal or would easily quit up and find for another venture.

All of us who have been investing in crypto currencies for a long time have, in my opinion, been through both good and bad trades. I have been through the two major market cycles of bitcoin, the crypto currency that controls the market, and I have experienced my own ups and downs. Altcoins, in particular, are the ones that disappear when the market changes after the major cycles. Over the course of my career, I witnessed instances in which some of my altcoins, which were once valued at thousands and hundreds of thousands of dollars, were reduced to only a few hundred dollars, and others even became worthless coins.

What are those bad and good experiences you've had ever since you started trading?

To me, the baddest thing that happened to me in trading was to hold for too long and miss the targets thinking that a coin would increase further. Therefore, the biggest lesson  I have learned was to make a plan and commit to a strategy, and follow risk management. In addition, mistakes make us less emotional over time, and that's the key to success in trading, in my opinion.

My worst experience in crypto trading was when I just started trading, actually I didn't have anyone to put me through so I have to learn it the hard way, i watched videos on YouTube, and I started putting everything into practice, everything was going well even as I was not making money yet, I was losing but not too much because any drop in market, I always make sure that i sell even at loss.

When I further my research and I discovered future trading, that was the worst thing that could happen happened to me in trading, I wasted all the money in my wallet on future trading, my house rent that was with me I deposited all and wasted it on future trading, at a point I noticed I was getting addicted to future trading, so I just have to force myself to stop it.

That is the worst scenario that can happen to a trader, you are experiencing good profits and then out of nowhere you lose everything, and while this is rare in other market this is very common here as some altcoins can pump and dump in a matter of hours, I just hope that you did not had to pay a massive amount of money to learn that lesson since this is the kind of mistake that a newbie trader can make and that can easily make them to lose the trust they had on this market.

I think most people out there have had a worse experience at least once in their trading life. In my case it has happened many times, I have faced loss many times due to wrong trading at wrong time.  I still bear the weight of that loss by investing in memes or alt-coins in particular. But I remember during the bull run I had a meme coin in which I made almost 100x profit from a small invesmet which was the highest of my life. But after the Lunar incident, I stopped investing in alt coins and now I am holding Bitcoin for the long term.
There's no exemption to this because we do start on being a newbie so it is really that understandable that you would be experiencing losses and errors in towards this activity.
You cant really just that start on being professional all the way or on your first try.Even if you are old here on this market but it doesnt mean that you cant really experience losses.
This is why it would really be that a test on trying out to get along with this unpredictable and volatile market. There's no way that you could deal it up
without experiencing unfortunate events.

What do you believe in?
Well, I consider mine to be the worst experience, and that was the first time I carried out future trading. I first learned about "future trading" on a CEX, but I didn't understand it because I thought it was too complicated to devote much time to at the time, so I gave up trying to learn about it relentlessly. So, last year, I discovered a new CEX that gave me free money ($20) to use in my future wallet trade. I used the trial fund to trade the BTC pair and earn $5 extra, but I also lost it in the trade and earned more but lost it as well, so after the trial fund expired, I was only left with the $2 that I managed to earn. I decided to invest real money in future trading, starting with $100 and hoping to make a large profit, but I never knew how I mistakenly messed with the leverage settings. Immediately after I entered the trade, not even 30 minutes later, I was not seeing my $100 again; in fact, the trade had closed itself and the money was gone. Since then, I have not tried futures trading again, but I still have the intention to give it another try.

Paradoxically, losing is a part of winning when it comes to trading. Sadly, most traders don't want to be reminded of losing or have that mandatory feel of is. No gain without pain as they say in gym houses, and I think that also rightly applies to trading. Newbie traders are often indoctrinated on how marvellous and easy trading is and how they can make so and so amount of cash in a single day. So, these noobs come into trading with that mindset. A few days down the line, account is blown. The process is repeated until they learn or quit in bitterness.

Sometimes trying by ourselves and activity and finding out we are not good at it is the only way to move forward, if you had not gave yourself a chance to become a trader you will always wonder what it could have happened if you did so, now you know and the results were not pretty, but it is precisely because of that experience you could become a long term holder and now you will obtain massive benefits thanks to your bitcoin holdings.
I think giving yourself the chance to try and learn is also very important for self reflection a bit as well. I did it, and I am not a great trader to be fair, I am a decent one at best and not a great one, but I learned the fact that I have very small patience when it comes to working towards research.

This is how I became a long term investor and doing very well, because I have patience, just not for research, I can buy something and wait for it to go up for decades, but I can't just start researching a coin and its chart and all the indicators for many hours just for a few percent profit, that just takes too long and I don't want to spend time doing that.

Another retelling of my story before I guess. Well I started out learning day trading in Youtube specifically on how to trade in Binance. Got to learn few tools used in the video like Bollinger Bands and RSI, I followed all along and thought it was all too easy and I might end up just doing this every day.

End result? It was horrible. I was mentally exhausted and burnt out into buying more coins to trade since I was not getting anywhere. I know it takes a lot of time to learn the ropes, but knowing that I am already exhausted with the first few weeks became the sign that trading was not just for me and that is completely fine. The takeaway from that is I am a long-term holder. I just wish I could have invested those times into programming, but nah I am in a better place now.

I have had to go through more bad times than good experiences in trading Most of the time I have lost money even though I trade after a lot of due diligence it still remains very risky Most of the projects cannot succeed now and we have to pay for it with money Although I got success few times but lost more money than that I have now reached a point where I am afraid to invest in a really good project out of fear of not investing and regretting it later when the project succeeds. So you have to trade with Ricks, it is not possible to get success without taking Ricks You have to be successful with Ricks by knowing well.
It's okay if you have already lost money on a trade or an investment and are not alone. That means you and we have to study harder so we can gain profits and recover those losses in the future. In trading and investing, there are times of loss and gain. And if we can learn from our previous mistakes, we can trade and invest better. Maybe we did the wrong analysis or chose the wrong coin, so this makes us have to look for information on how to choose the coin or how to analyze it properly. Failure is a delayed success so we should be able to learn more from others.
It is normal that there are always losses in trading, but the important thing is that if there are more than 3 losses in a row, it is best to stop, because we simply do not have the correct vision of the market, and when that happens it is best to change the analysis and study the Why, if the trader does that and determines why he lost, then that becomes learning and that translates into making good money for the next entry, because he understands what is happening in the market and how he should make his next trade, It is ideal to always have control and that control determines how to operate, since the market is benevolent, it always gives new and better entries.

When it comes to losses then this is an inevitable thing the important thing on here is that you do really know on how to sustain up those losses and still ending up on being profitable. This what matter the most

on which you could really stay up that positive but of course it wont really be that simple as it sounds since this would really be talking about some strong emotion and control which would be also one of the

things which would really be affecting out yourself when it comes to your crypto investment. Bitter sweet experience is really that very common when you do deal
into this volatile and unpredictable market.

What are those bad and good experiences you've had ever since you started trading?
Bad is when I started trading I didn't learn basic things like basics analysis on charts, supports and resistance, and risk management. Because I agree that I lost a lot during the early days of my trading but the good thing that I experienced was gaining a lot of lessons.
Those three that you enumerate there are I think not the basics in trading but there are for advanced traders. Basic doesn't need any complications. It was when we buy and sell only. There are newbies who still can get lucky and earn consistently using only this but we might be bored later on and we think trying something new can make us a professional trader.

This is where we advance and learn those technical analysis and its tools. I think my bitter-sweet experience in trading is when I earn a big amount but then lose it all because I got greedy and didn't stick to my limits. This is something that sticks on my memory and will be hard to erase any more.

When life gets hard BUY Bitcoin!
Buying Luna token when it first dump to 10$ from 100$ hoping it will recover again and the next day it dumps to 0.000xx$. That day quickly gave me a negative 500$ profit for being greedy and at the same time buying tokens without about having a full grasp on the real situation of the project. Until now I still can’t get over on this shit decision of mine.

When it comes to trading it’s always bad experience for me. Lolz. The thing is I am not able to grasp TA to very professional level. For example, I have always advised peeps to have proper knowledge of TA and FA while making your trades. I am able to do that because I know how fusilier look like when you learn something but you fail in the practical reality. My only bad experience is when I tried to go for multiple coin portfolio to achieve those dream profits. Soon I got the feeling I was shaking while making trades even when I calculated the risk up front. I failed in 1-2 coins and it impacted my decision making process on the other ones thus they failed in sequence as well. I just hope that you will get lesson from this as what to do and what not.

My very worst experience is the time that I got my first bitcoin as well. That time everyone went crazy because pumps hard and it is way far to its ATH in the prior years maybe that 2017?  or 2018, I can't remember it well but then it is my first time to have that kind of money and due to my greediness I didn't converted some of my profit to fiat,as much as I get my first bitcoin so fast the faster it took away from me, there's a huge bitcoin dump after few weeks.

I have never had sweet memories in trading cryptocurrency.
I have only lost a couple of times in cryptocurrency, but my major losses were in forex trading.
I have lost more than I could imagine in forex trading.
It was in forex trading that I lost all my savings and what I could call wealth at that particular time.

Upon all the losses,I was even decieved into buying a trading bolt which I did not know how to manipulate and I ended up losing more and even buying the bolt at a very expensive price because I was a newcomer into the industry.

All my experiences in trading be it crypto trading or forex trading are really nightmare.

It's a shame when you start trading not with the basic knowledge you should know. But I believe that by saying that, it means you are aware and by now you probably have some basic knowledge about trading. Lots of people have experience like you, and that's usually done by beginners who come to trade just following the trends or invitations of others, and they enter only to see how other people's profits are getting, so they are full of ambition without sufficient knowledge about this trading .

Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks
Verge X Pornhub partnership.

That was way back 2018, and it's my first time to try trading. I still remember XVG or Verge coin developers telling to the public that they will be partnered with a popular company or website or whatever it is. At that time, the price of Verge started to pump already because of this rumors. I admit I got FOMO'ed at this time since I was a newbie in trading at that time. I bought at near it's peak and when they announced the company that they will be partnering with, the price of XVG dumped immediately and me? I lost half of my money just because of that mistake.
I knew about that pump that was around the time of John McAfee when he pumped altcoins a lot. Correct me if I am wrong and honestly I did not know how that altcoin is in the last bull run as well as now. My guess is it turns to a dead altcoin now.

Back in 2018, John McAfee could pump altcoins with his tweets and I remembered people can spend a lot of time to follow his Twitter around his favorite hours to wait for his tweets.
The pump of XVG with regards to McAfee happened in December of 2017, and you can see it here: LINK
The pump of XVG with regards to Pornhub happened in 2018 as posted here: LINK

I didn't knew TBH that McAfee even attempted to pump that shitcoin at that time (because I was a newbie at that time). It is a dead altcoin now and it has been many years ago. Didn't heard of that coin in the last bull run in 2021. With regards to McAfee in 2018, yes he pumped lots and lots of altcoins and new projects at that time. On the other hand, there are many investors who are patiently waiting for what project he will pump and invest into it. Ending? Most lost their money while few gained thousands from it. RIP to him as well.

After that, I immediately withdrew all of my Bitcoin, and just held it (until now I'm still holding it Cheesy).
You did it right. Bitcoin is a best in bear market and it is a best coin in long term too. Altcoins can make you feel crazy by their massive pumps but if you stick with altcoins, you will lose money easily too.

With Bitcoin, if you can hold, you will get rich.
One of the best decisions I've made.

Aside from the fact that I invested into cryptocurrency, this is probably one of the best decisions I've done all throughout my whole crypto journey. I was a newbie at that time and instead of losing my money doing trading, I just held it and until now I'm still holding it.

When I've chosen a shitcoin more than bitcoin but that's when I was still new to crypto by that time. The good thing and I'm just saying it to give myself some appeasement that I'm still doing good is that I didn't trade all bitcoin that I've got.
It tends out that I was wrong and did a mistake by doing that and after that, I've learned that it's a mistake that I shouldn't do again or else I'll be out of this market anymore out of regret and frustration.

For me, getting fed up of the bear market back in 2020 ,and selling all my 30 Ethereum coins at the price of $250 each was the biggest mistake of my life, this is because after the sale, 3 months down the line, 2020 bull run started, and by January/February, the price of Ethereum has already crossed $3000 and above, that period, I felt like committing suicide, it was a very bad experience for me that even now, each time I remember this opportunity I missed due to impatient, I feel really bad and regretful in my spirit, like the saying that somethings are better not said, this is one of my experiences I don't like talking or discussing about, but seeing this topic, I decided to share a bit of this here for some other persons to learn from.

1.Buy High Sell Low
2. When i do sold my tokens the price pumped even more, when i do hold then it neither dumps hard or moving sideways for long.
3. Even how experienced you are, you could still be that affected by some Fomo and fear. Its inevitable!

Even how many years i've been trading into this market but still i do commit out some newbie mistakes wayback which does really proves out that it isnt really that something
you could be able to avoid even if you wanted to do so.You would really be needing for yourself to sustain so that you would really be able to survive this unpredictable market.
We would be having no choice but to make out some adjustments for us to handle up the situation.

I am sure many have this issue but mine was obviously selling Bitcoin and Ethereum way too cheap. Been around since the $200 Bitcoin and $10 Ethereum days and wish I could of not sold any of those coins. Nothing you can do now.

Also I heard about Bitcoin back in 2012 or so. Many trading websites kept talking about how Bitcoin is a scam because it lost -50% in a day due to some hack. And I believed it and stood away from crypto due to that reason.
Many of us had that mate, anyone who has been around to remember those days, we had some bitcoins and we sold it. I could have been a millionaire by now if I kept my coins, I didn't and now I am regretting that chance a bit, not all of it, but I wish I kept just a bit of it. I know that it's a tough period to be in and I know that life is unfair when you see what you have missed.

However, I do not let it keep me down and I work to accumulate more bitcoins, that way I know that I would be doing a lot better, it would allow me to do a lot better anyway. It's quite important to know what you can do and can't change, I try to focus on the things I can do now.

It seems that all traders have bad experiences in the market due to price volatility or other bad events. That's all natural because there are always risks related to trading and asset security, but basically everyone can minimize them with the recommended methods on a case by case basis.

Without loss you never know how bitter trading is, and vice versa how sweet it is when you make a profit. I'm not really interested in talking much about the bittersweet experience, it is part of the consequence that has changed my interest from trading to investing.

I remember the time when I was only a spectator who used to read the news and watch videos of people making trades or analysis and everything, and I've always just wanted to do it myself but never had the funds to get started. At the same time, I didn't have much knowledge and zero experience, so I was afraid of losing money as well.

But then, after some time, I managed to get together some money and make a budget to start trading, and when I first started, I made some mistakes as a beginner, going behind tokens and coins which are gaining value temporarily without knowing their background or doing any research.

I lost a lot of money at the beginning, but that taught me every lesson that I needed to gain profits later in trading. So I eventually learnt everything and then I started managing my risks and started gaining profits over losses.

Quote
After that, I immediately withdrew all of my Bitcoin, and just held it (until now I'm still holding it Cheesy).
You did it right. Bitcoin is a best in bear market and it is a best coin in long term too. Altcoins can make you feel crazy by their massive pumps but if you stick with altcoins, you will lose money easily too.

With Bitcoin, if you can hold, you will get rich.

Almost everyone has suffered losses in trading and many have benefitted from trade. It only depends on how well we analyze every coin that we find so that we can use it to trade. But not all people who trade can overcome emotional trauma due to suffering the loss and make them out of the trade without wanting to come back again. But after experiencing a lot of bad and good experiences in trade, we must be able to learn from every experience to improve our ability to analyze to reduce that loss.

Best is to make profit of course but the worst part is that if you already cut loss and after an hour the price started to recover and even make its new ATH within a week, so this happen last bull market to me and I’m so depressed at that time since I missed the chance to make profit and lose the money at the same time.

In trading, anything can happen in an instant so the risk are high and this is not advisable if you are still a beginner to trade without proper knowledge.
Something similar happened to me during the 2017 bull run, I invested some money in an altcoin and it did not move at all for a month and I had to close the trade, and then the very next day it skyrocketed and it made a 10x during the next days, and while I did not lost money when that happened you can guess that I was really mad that this happened to me, as if that movement had started just a few hours earlier I could have gotten some profits.
I think you are unlucky about this, because you don't experience losses while you also don't get profits, and interestingly you withdraw assets the day before the coins you hold skyrocket. It must be very painful to see the price skyrocket because you thought it would never happen, so you decided to sell the assets you owned at that time. So luck was not on your side at that time. Indeed, sometimes luck will also be a factor in making us profit or not.

I just want to share the bad experiences that I have experienced while trading, buying Altcoin after seeing the graphics looks uphill and it targets only 10% of the advantages of the stupid thing that I do is not to use stop loss features and leave it in the morning reading the news that the main developer coin leaves the project and the price of the coin have fallen by more than 50% and I can do only sell to avoid greater losses, the lesson do not forget to also use the stop loss unless you are an investor.

Trading can make you richer and can make you poorer or worst bankrupted.

History says that mostly trading will make people poorer and many amateur traders got their lives broken by trading. Bankruptcies by tradings is very common for amateur traders.

Who are amateur traders? What do you think who they are?

Amateur traders are people who don't have knowledge and don't have good disciplines with their tradings. Time they spent in the market is not a big matter. You can spend 10 or 20 years in trading but you can still be an amateur trader.

Experiences do not matter, but what did you gain from them? Failure to benefit from experiences leads to their repetition and thus more useless experiences.
Also, benefiting from bad experiences comes with investment, not by listening to stories, because it is your feeling at that moment that will determine the future of your steps in trading.

Also, successful experiences do not mean that they are always successful, but it may be time that made them successful.

When I decided to start trading, I thought I was already good at it because I had seen and noticed/followed market trends. I decided to try day trading, buying low and selling high, regardless of how little profit I could make. I passed my first and second trials and was already feeling like a boss. Little did I know that would be the last time I would profit from it; to cut a long story short, on my next trade, I lost more than 20% of my investment in the blink of an eye. I immediately withdrew from it and have a change of mind to either trade for a long term or not trade at all.

I have bad experienced with trading and can't forget how stupid with my decision become loyal holder when looking my altcoin assets price going pump, can't imagine with next few years later with my altcoin holding price dropped and delist from the bigger exchange have been listed on Kucoin.

This bad experience keep memorize in my minds until right now and I don't how to forgive with my mistake as diamond hand for long term holding typical, maybe earn profit above one hundred million but I try keep holding and believe with this coin price more pump drastically after success break out above $5 and I have about 100,000 coins in my wallet.

tradin has been one wild ride for me. It's been a rollercoaster of emotions, but I wouldnt trade it for anythin' in the world. I remember this one time when I mistakingly bought a stock instead of sellin it, and then it frickin' skyrocketed in price. I was like, "Oh snap, what do I do now?" I panicked and sold it right away, but then the price just kept climbin even higherr. Lesson learned - alwayz double-check your orders before you hit the execute button. And sometimes, leaving your mistake alone can earn profit. Such hillarious

But you know what? It hasn't all been bad. One of my best tradin' experiences was when I invested in a company that I totally believed in. I watched it grow and grow over time, and it was a long-term investment. I wasn't expectin' any huge returns for a while, but then the company announced a merge, and the stock price went through the roof. I made a fat profit, and it felt like a huge frickin' win. It just goes to show that sometimes you gotta take a risk and belive in yourself.

Tradings full of ups and downs, and you gotta take the good with the bad. I've had some awesome experiences and some not-so-awsome ones, but overall it's been a dope journey that has taught me so much about the markets and myself. You gotta find that right balance of risk and reward, and hey, a little bit of luck never hurts either, amirite?

Bitcoin To The Moon 📈📈📈
I have felt bitter and sweet before in trading, especially in altcoins, where there were lots of big losses, of course all of that was due to carelessness and greed, while my analysis was still new to the point where I even experienced FOMO by buying without thinking about anything else, including getting caught up in shitcoin that fell to 90% due to overconfidence.

I was sinking but behind this negative experience it made me think clearer and more careful. I continued to learn from previous bad experiences so that it should not be repeated with big losses trapped in shitcoins and now trading requires strong fundamentals.

The sweet experience is that the profits you get are quite large, I won't mention it, but I never forget that when the market became bullish, I took advantage of bitcoin and several other large altcoins.

Now more focused on bitcoin which must continue to be piled up until there are more to reach the next ATH.

I have also had a strange experience of trading. I don't know if it's bad or it's good, But it's funny I am sure Smiley When I started to the first trade I had to take help from customer support. My knowledge about trading was 0. The exchange was Cryptopia which is closed now. Customer support helped me a lot that time to make the exchange successful. But the funny thing is that I had deposited a very lower amount (altcoins - I forgot the name) and once I exchange it for BTC I was unable to withdraw the fund due to withdrawal fees lol. Later I deposited again and made the withdraw Smiley

I believe that the bad experience that many people will inevitably have is losing money due to wrong coin analysis, not much knowledge or even following trading signals. Yes, that is something we will always encounter when we first start to enter the world of trading. Not infrequently many people have good experience when they start by getting multiple profits. Believe that everything we experience will be a very valuable lesson in the future, from there we can learn what mistakes we made at that time that made us lose, and make us even better traders.

The bad experience I've had since I started trading was when I got a loss because I misanalyzed the coin.
I also had a good experience when I made a very large profit, especially when bitcoin had its last bull run.
But whatever I get, I keep learning to analyze better than before and reduce analysis mistakes.
And even though learning to trade is difficult, the results are still worth continuing because that way, our analytical skills can improve.

The worst experience for me in crypto trading was when I learned to day trade. and I thought it would be easy. but it turned out to be very difficult. and I quit and don't do it anymore. because I actually lost a lot of money on the trade. and I think it does require quite advanced skill. and I don't have it yet. so I decided just to keep accumulating bitcoins for the long term. and some of the top altcoins.
but I'm still trying to keep learning it.

for the good experience i feel very excited at the moment. because I feel what I have done was not in vain. i.e. I have started doing DCA on bitcoin from last year since bitcoin price dropped around $16,000USD area. and I am happy to see my investment continues to grow at this time. but I still continue to buy more at each set period.
