My favourite one was etherdelta until many different types of decentralized exchanges hit the market. Currenly I pretty much enjoy using idex and coss, both exchanges have nice tokens as well.
BISQ is a good decentralised p2p exchange. It will even accept fiat currencies as well, good if you want to trade without exchanges watching over you. I'm looking more forward to the hybrid DEX exchanges coming, pure DEX at the moment seems to have performance issues with volume, I'm sure this will get corrected in time but for me the idea of an online trade platform which gives you access to your keys and stores wallets on the block chain has high appeal, you could have the performance of a centralised online exchange while still having the security of a pure DEX, I'm not too big on any of the current DEX platforms which is why I'm throwing this out there.
Blockport is the hybrid platform I've invested in currently, once up and going it should cover both angles nicely.

It depends on which one you like the most in my opinion there is not a decentralized exchange that is perfect every single one has some flaw that makes it not as a good as their centralized counterparts if I were you I will look in the decentralized exchanges that are still in development and that can give to you the best profits. want to put some money maybe (after next drop!)

I just used IDEX recently and some of my coins are there now. But I signed in from a separate MEW other than my main wallet. Just making sure there will be no more hacking issues. If so my other coins will be safe. With the past hacking issues of exchanges we should be a little wiser now.
BarterDEX has some phenomenal things going for it. Compatible with 90%+ of coins/tokens out there. Massive potential with BarterDEX.
My favorite decentralised project ao far is still idex.market the developer not greedy, they only raised fund 5 million as hard cap and the exchanger also full decentralised and faster then etherdelta. There will be also staking aura token when the platform up. Volume also high there.

More new decentralized exchange are coming in market while we have many variety to choose from but of course etherdelta is still the best for me. A lot of new coins are listed here and I find convenient trading here even it gets compromise last time, well I guess it's normal tho. I'm using also idex but just in rarely case.

The most convenient decentralized exchange in my opinion is IDEX. Very user-friendly interface and reliability.
I like Bitshares best. Unless you're looking for ERC20 coins... then maybe ForkDelta

Surprised to see that nobody has yet mentioned ForkDelta and the previously good but now scammy, Etherdelta. IDEX is good too but in terms of user interface and responsiveness ForkDelta always win in my books. More importantly too, volume in ForkDelta is good (unless you are trying to trade total shitcoins).

Idex is best Dex for me now. Its interface very suitable for me, not hangs and other bugs. I use it almost every day.
Currently IDEX is going to take good position specially after EtherDelta more peoples shifting here and they are doing very good job in recent weeks they work on servers and now speed is also very good for users

forkdelta(before etherdelta) and idex
i think wave decentralized exchange (WveDex) is good exchange with good volume too

Other project that i know about is 0x. You can check that also, it looks promising
Idex is the only best choice right now. 0x doesn't even have the same volume as idex. That means there is no demand to use 0x protocol. People are looking for friendly dex to make the users will be more easily to access the platform. Idex is very simple in my opinion. Other project that i know about is 0x. IDEX is a great DEX. I can tell you that from my personal experience, it is way more responsive than etherdelta. They also have a special coins that give you a discount on your trades and they are also paying dividends. There is also a cryptobridge exchange but mainly for master nodes.

After PundiX passed 5000 ETH in volume, IDEX is in a complete collapse from 48 hours. Even when the site is reachable, I can't put an orders in 9/10 cases 'Due maintenance' or time our or whatever.
IDEX clearly shown that can't handle volume and many clients. I hope that they are taking those problems very serious if they don't want to follow Etherdelta into oblivion...
I think this is a problem with every decentralised exchanges. I remeber when ether delta lagged when the kyber network was listed on their exchange, nothing we can do about it. I don't know who was buying pundix and why but it was a lot of volume for a small dex. I think they have a lot of room to improve!
