I also like chess I was taught by my father when I was very young.

I think a lot of people play still boardgames.
We come together like 1 time a month to play boardgames, mostly games from 999 games (http://www.999games.nl dutch site)
The world of warcraft boardgame is also nice, but you need at least + 6 hours for it

Considering you have a net connection, how do you have no other choice but chess? There are tons of sites with games of all kinds (including other popular board games).
Maybe his cellmates are really pushy and makes him play chess even against his will. But you dont need to play chess exclusively - after all with the same board and same pieces you can play for example: Checkers.

I think Monopoly this game is the best of the best. Suitable for any family to have fun during free time. Suitable for any ages. Once you play it, you will want to play it over and over again!

Hungry Hungry Hippos! Man I can relate to those awesome creatures. Have you ever experienced the feeling of being really really hungry? Those hippos need to eat, and it's your turn to help them get their much needed fix.
Monopoly cards is my favourite, it is new and is totaly different play style from monopoly.
Risk is pretty good, but i like other also (Sons of sahara, monopoly, hotel - very old game). I'd pick Risk as the best of them. I love strategy overall.

Amen to that. I still remember want to play with my dad so many times until I realized he was constantly beating me by doing the math in his head vs a 4 year old. I was OK with it as long as I got to be the car.
