Absolutely Naples !

Is a city which leave you with open mouth. Is rich of attraction, like sea, history and good food restaurant.

But the city of my dream is Los Angeles/New york and I want to visit it in my life, I really hope it Smiley

What's better than ending the day of surf session, by partying with foreign tan girls and a good chance of getting laid after.

Bangkok. Of the many times I have visited, I have never been disappointed or had a bad time.
The scenery is spectacular, the food is some of the best in Asia, the people are welcoming and friendly, the nightlife is just so vibrant and you can go from one 24 hours to the next before you realize you have not slept. Love the skybars, some of the best night views to be found anywhere.

San Francisco. Great culture, great weather IMO (50 to 60 degrees F is perfect IMO), only 1 hour from Laguna Seca, only 1 hour from Infineon, only 2 hours from Thunderhill, only 3 hours from the redwoods and most importantly, it's a coastal city. I love the ocean.

Let me guess, the start up hype lol.

High crime rates suck though.  Same with alot of large cities.  London is ok (lots to do) but high crime rate and the smog is horrendous it makes it unhealthy to live there.

It’s probably one of my favorite cities in Romania and it’s always a pleasure to go here for a nice walk and good food. We were a bit unfortunate to have rainy weather for our 2 days trip, but still walking around the historical streets was a delight.I am very much fascinated by the concept of a gate and the entrance of a place. While walking on the streets of Sibiu  you discover lots of these typical gates leading to surprising inner http://universecityblog.wordpress.com/2011/10/10/sibiu-romania-the-capital-city-of-my-heart-%E2%80%93-lower-town/

Still a lot of cities I want to travel to, but my favorite city so far to live in is Chiang Mai, Thailand.  It's cheap, people are friendly, and the lifestyle is really laid back.  A lot to do, but you can still drive 30 minutes away and be in the middle of nowhere.

To visit, I really like Vegas, not sure I could live there though Smiley

Sarasota.

seriously the greatest city in the world!

I went on vacation to Florida and by no means is Sarasota the best city in the world. If you like over priced tourist shops, people with grey hair that bitch about everything and drive to slow and beaches that you need to cash your 401k in just to park then yea Sarasota rocks.

Amsterdamn is a really cool city, reminds me of a cool version of Venice, Italy. So much to do and so many different people from different cultures with everything from Art to Counter Culture covered.

Well, we don't have a housing issue
I don't think I'v seen a homeless man anywhere
Apartmants aren't too expensive, they're affordable

But I don't quite understand how they did that so cheaply, even if you find volunteers, building material and equipment is expensive
And the town is in big debt :/

Unfortunately that is not an uncommon situation all throughout southern Europe. But there are a couple of interesting places in which the inhabitants are trying to change things by themselves, step by step.

One such example would be the town of Marinaleda in Spain (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marinaleda). It's only a small town, with less than 3000 people, that, faced with lack of employment, housing and other basic necessities, was able to turn it around to full employment, and housing for everyone for €15 a month (though you have to help with the construction process and you can't sell the house afterwards apparently). The process initially involved taking over unused land, and then recruiting unemployed workers to build much needed houses and basic infrastructure.

I guess it's a way to kick start things though scaling it to a larger city would be problematic; but with that much unemployment in your city, do you think you guys could pull something like this off? Smiley

A quote from the Marinaleda's Mayor:

Quote
They all thought that the market was God, who made everything work with his invisible hand. Before, it was a mortal sin to talk about the government having a role in the economy. Now, we see we have to put the economy at the service of man.
—Mayor Juan Manuel Sánchez Gordillo, May 2009 remarks about Spain's real estate bust and rampant unemployment.

No, that would probably be the thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/post-a-picture-of-your-city-603422 (post a picture of your city).

But the food is amazing in LA.  That's probably why we have so many chunkies.

nice city man  Wink

thanks Smiley

Also our happy was declerade the happy of the day, it has some good visuals

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVdse3IhDUs

but you need to know some stuff to understand everything Cheesy

in the beginning it's that neanderthal habitant I talked about, then you can see a Roman emperor (which was born in Vinkovci Cheesy), the composer you see is actually writing the Croatian anthem (because the composer was from Vinkovci Cheesy) etc.

every single historian in the video is actually a real person that did something significant Smiley

later on you get to see Vinkovci in real time, performed from around 7-8 musical bands that originate from here Smiley

I won't bother to explain every person singulary, the video is quite interesting even if you don't understand everything Cheesy

*which

it's of course my city Smiley

altough small, I love it because it's mine Smiley

The oldest city in Europe (2nd in the world), the city of Vinkovci Smiley

the last one is the habitant of neanderthals Cheesy

The city is inhabited since 6300 BC (continuely habited for 8300 years)

The town has the oldest serial metal production in the world

(3000-2600 BC)

The oldest calendar in whole of Europe was found here (Orion)

It was created in the same time as the Egyptian and Sumerian calendars but here the stars are much more definiable, and the zones mark autumn, spring, summer and winter

In 4th century the town had 10 000 people while London in the same time had 40 000

2 Roman emperors were born here (Valens and Valentinijan)

2 Christian martyrs (Eusebie and Polion)

During the Turkish conquests the cities population has gone down to only 20 people (from it's glorious days of almost 10 000 in the 4th century)

Today the town has 35 000 people and we're sort of an archeological El Dorado Cheesy

Every time something is digged, something is found Cheesy

For example Akvilas silver (over 36 kilograms of Roman silver dishes)

But unfortunately, altough such rich history

Everything found is sent out to other museums, and our town has the biggest unemployment rate in our country

With 35 000 people (23 000 capable of working)

16 000 are unemployed  Undecided

If you follow UFC, you've heard of Cro Cop, he's from our town Cheesy

We have much more local celebrities (but they're big only in our country Smiley )
