My first encounter with the 'death' idea was when I was a small child and heard about. I was extremely blessed to have Christian parents who explained that death is simply the doorway to eternal life.

They also explained that believing in Jesus-salvation meant eternal life in the joys of Heaven, while not accepting Jesus meant the eternal destruction (dying) of Hell.

The chapters of life never cease to come to an end. In your life, there must have been many shooting stars that have fallen, near or far, which have, to some extent, shaped your views on life and death. Every life deserves a brilliant epitaph, which is why we gather here to reflect on the initial journey between life and death. Perhaps it was the passing of a loved one, a scene from a book, film, or music that stirred your emotions, or even a fleeting conversation. Please share your first encounter with the concept of "death."
