My investment strategy is
Learn TA and market structure
Research which projects are likely to do well when the market goes bullish again
Buy as close to the bottom of the market as possible possibly use a DCA method of investing
Have an exit strategy in place and don't be afraid to take some profits on the way up
Place some of those profits into passive income like staking decent projects or a masternode coin with a good team and ecosystem intent on creating a use case - one that has also stood the test of time.
The rest of those profits I would hedge into a stable coin and wait for the next market bottom to reinvest - (rinse and repeat)

I’ve understood that the best strategy for me is to hodl BTC. Usually if I have odd money I invest in USDT, then put BTC buy limit-order (on 5-7 thousand  lower than the market) and calmly wait till it will work.

A stable and well-established project should have a realistic use case, fundamentals, growth history, and a team of transparent individuals. As I always suggest to any investor looking for the next crypto gem,  a comprehensive research before venturing into any investment is required. My researches show, One of the altcoins best fit to the above criteria called #Stakenet #XSN. Check it out! https://stakenet.io

I invest in a potential project especially when I'll have an assurance that they could foster in the future because of their great whitepaper. I also check the legitimacy and activeness of the team behind it. It's also important for me to check the purpose of a coin or a project so it wouldn't turn into a rug. I'm sure that most of us have learned from the rug projects that we joined before.

Aside from having my portfolios managed, I really do my job in researching for those coins first before investing. The Idea itself isn't enough but the achievements and roadmap properly achieved is a must. These hard earned money should only go to projects that for me has the potential not just to go to moon but to secure that the promises mentioned in the roadmap. I also invest to those trusted CEO who has backgrounds in Cryptocurrency startups not those who literally comes out of nowhere and proclaims that he is something worth investing.

I invest in the project and the idea, I read and study the project, if I like it and the development is going properly, then I buy, and I love HYPE projects that are heard, for some time they are HYPE and everyone is just talking about it, you can go well on such projects...but it always turns out, in general, my strategy of a hamster investor)

Only popular coin is a good investment on the space , and for me the right time to invest is when they're going very dip because for sure what will be the next direction of the growth wherein as always, especially when mostly investors sees that its the right time to bump again and there's a sign of the trend, that's the real signal to buy for me. But yes it requires patience but worth it after all no regrets. Even long term or short term it depends..

Everyone is picking number two because these days you could make an income with the NFT that you are holding, which is something that makes sense and I can totally understand it, but that doesn't change the fact that way before any of this was the norm for NFT, people were buying useless and worthless jpegs and gifs and tweets for millions of dollars, that never really made any sense to me at all but people still did it for some reason.

I understand that the overall situation in NFT world changed a lot, but it was not always like this and people really did picked the number one option for a long time. Like what's the point of having an NFT without having any purpose at all, people believed that if they could buy it, and hold it, the value of it will go up but it is definitely something that didn't worth anything at all, remember all those "this NFT got sold for 69 million dollars!" news, that was seriously a thing.

1. 70% of my investment are going into market trends or holding a good fundamental tokens so if the market crash, i will still hold it and buy more because i know i'm holding a good coins.
2. 30% doing some investment on some new projects tokens such as NFT which in the hype right now but also with some deep research to the project first.
3. Usually split my main investoment tokens to 3-4 tokens with different background of development, so it won't crash at the same time

I invest mainly because I believe in the ideology behind of that token. In this space where too many scams are hiding behind those good projects, it is quite good to invest to those who solves real life problems. Real utility tokens for me are the best ones to invest in. Red flags are also should be considered. Doing our research is a must and should be prioritized before investing. I have been a noob one in trading before but still learning from it.

Of the three choices, I might tend to choose the first point. I choose investments based on the price, or the trend. however, in my portfolio, most hold popular coins like Ethereum or BNB. The strategy I use is a general strategy, which is to buy when the price is low, and sell when the price is high. well, this strategy can only happen at the first point.

Right. Try going to Uniswap or Sushiswap or if you like Bittrex, and try go into their socalled private rounds, 90% discounts or whatever. Buy the coin and tell me when it goes listing how much the price dumps, if you can. I've seen too many public price listings way lower than private sale rounds:)

Of course, there are cases when a coin is sold on DEX for less than at an early stage of sale. And I can give such an example of an unsuccessful investment in a PolyPad coin, the current price of which is 4 times lower than a private round. But, for example, a project like Cirus showed a profit of X16 from the private sale price and, accordingly, covered the losses of PolyPad and, if necessary, could cover another 15 unsuccessful investments.

Before I invest, first my consideration is what is the long term plan of the project. Second, who are the team. If I verified them that they are reliable. I will invest because I see them as useful in the long run. I just invest what I can afford to take risk.

I believe option 3 is quite better in this current market, while in a bear market option 2 goes on.
For option 3, when a trend starts you will realise that most coins developed towards that idea of a trend leads the market and pumps massively, therefore being involved with the good ones with attractive use cases will pave way for more growth as well as leading to more gains, in other words, a project offers good use case as well as leveraging the market trend (like NFT) to grow, an example is AXS.
For option 2, during a bear market what matters is only coins and tokens with strong team and usefulness, these two factors will help when the market starts growing, because the team already have something good to offer and people will only but start buying back in order to follow up with their growth, examples are ETH, ADA, SOL and so on.

In my case, my way of investing is to split them into those two categories you've mentioned. Actually they're connected that is why I use them both as a basis if it is good or bad to invest to a particular coin/token. As of now, I also had chosen to invest on those NFT projects, especially those NFT games that are currently booming like Axie Infinity and Plants vs Undead.

Currently looking for more potential NFT games, you might want to mention some guys, thanks Wink
I suggest you not focus on NFT projects. I know it was your choice but it was risky to put an egg in a single basket but rather to spread your investment into more potential coins like Bitcoin, ETH, and BNB for the long term. NFT's projects are in their prime, many had made a lot of money but worried about how its sustainability. And besides, only NFT games had made the great pump while many of them just are dead now. You should think it again.
very risky if we only put in one basket, because of belief without any logical thinking. I think the best investment is in major coins where eth and bnb are the main choices that will not die. and we can choose new projects like the trending NFT to invest, but I think using a small part of the capital we have, so we will still exist in the crypto world

I am currently investing in an old altcoin that I trust, which the coin is already based on my research. Because based on experience I will choose a coin that is strong and held by a bearish market and quickly recovers. For NFT is currently trending, if you have more funds, it can be adjusted to your current capital, and of course the risk is borne by each.
For me, it will be more profitable if we come up investing in those potential coins that are still developing actively in the market and has a good community demand, and those trending NFT games that are currently creating huge interest on the part of its gamers and might still want also to invest in
NFT projects as they have potentials also to be more valuable in the market.

We all have different strategies  when it comes to our own investments and probably your strategy won't work for me or the other way around. So it will be a good idea to continue exploring new investing strategies as they can be more helpful in achieving our goals in a clearer picture.

In the purchasing processes, I first look at the project team and its details. Apart from that, if the grown-ups are selling what they have by chance, I try to collect them after they fall. That's the Golden Rule for me. I never invest in other people's opinions. Because they are always wrong.

1. mainly on price/the market trends
Of course. Everyone is tempted to see the crypto trend. Especially by looking at the condition of Bitcoin which has increased from $5k to $50k. Many of the crypto players have long since quit and returned to open their wallets.

2. mainly on the underlying usefulness of the token/NFT
No. Most people don't understand the use of NFT, even I have a hard time thinking about it. Maybe we often understand NFT because of the information from this forum, but most other crypto traders are not active in the forum.

If you do not want a long and complex answer then most likely you do not want to hear the real answer at all, the markets are not simple, if they were then anyone would earn money and since that is not the case then the answer by definition must be a complex one.

Traders and investors spend hundreds if not thousands of hours refining their techniques and trying to find any edge they can find, the first two options that you give are nothing more but the general views that traders and investors have respectively about the markets, and that is not enough tot become profitable on them.

Of course I invest based on price, market trends and based on the amount of capital I use. If my capital is a lot I will buy ethereum or BNB for the long term and BNB for the medium term. And coins whose prices are still not high but potentially good in the future. As for the short term I only buy a few altcoins which I then sell at a certain price and I buy them back.
Definitely number two. Don't get me wrong I do not have much NFT, but if I am going to invest into any NFT ever, then it must be useful for one way or another. Look at Axie for example, it has a huge use and you could make a lot of money with it, that's still considered NFT as well but gaming, it is not a picture, it is not a jpeg that was put into NFT, it is not some tweet, it is not a painting put into NFT format, it is literally just a game and you can make so much money from it.

I wouldn't own Picasso's paintings as NFT but I would spend more on some silly Axie just because I can make an income with one while the other is useless until I make some profit from it by selling, and after I sell it then there is no way to make an income from it neither. For something to be worthy of my investment, I need to make sure that I could make an income with it.

Lol, when is the price is too high? You could sell right now and the price could go up to 100,000 $. In stock market the saying goes: timing in the market beats market timing. In crypto this is not always the case due to the very high volatility. Maybe this principle is valid with some of the top coins: BTC, ETH, LTC,...

Take advantage of the Market Downturn to Increase Investment/Buy Shares.

Think and act positively in negative conditions, We can benefit from this. Instead of releasing the shares you own, you can actually get lucky by buying a number of new shares when the stock declines. We can use the low price to buy more units and make it an investment that will generate more profits in the future.

I invest based on market prices and trends, my strategy implementation is not all coins are treated the same. Coin price variations determine long-term or short-term trades. for example, in Eth I chose to invest in the long term, of course, apart from a fairly large price, it is also a potential Altcoin that many investors are interested in.
I also follow the strategy of the price action and the trend .Its actually mostly help to the long term holder you can get easily profit there if you become patient .However the following trend of the crypto concern helps you to earn for shortly but it is so risky if the project become scam. Its a crypto world you can earn surely if you work here on cool head you can easily find a strategy to get profit .

That’s a good strategy. But yes guess what? Everyone has their own techniques and methods.
For me i choose the coins that are trending in the twitter and buy them when necessary.
Also while choosing the coins i go for tokens promoted by big companies and people.
I know this strategy is followed by many and yes this only works everytime.

yes invest mainly in price/MARKET TRENDS and i mostly like to invest in famous coins. Do we know the price is now cheaper and when is the right time to buy? if we buy in the market, of course it's too late because the price of good altcoins is certainly expensive, there is the best way to get a cheap price, namely by buying during the ICO, choose an ICO that has a good reputation then when the market is available, it is easy to get profit up to 10x.

In my portfolio, 40% are top coins: Ethereum, Bitcoin, Polkadot, Ethereum Classic. 10% are investments with varying degrees of risk, 1-3% of them are very high-risk investments.
50% are stablecoins.
You can make high-risk investments when you have capital. If there is a loss of 1-2 thousand dollars, then this is not a problem. But you don't need to do this with your last money, in the hope of becoming rich.
I always follow news-based tared when I see a token or coin has good news coming within a short time then I try to make buy this token or coin and when market dump then I try to buy and when market pump then I sell it this is my strategy for trade.

Between the three, I often invest base on the second one.

I think the usefulness of the token is really the reason why I invest and why people are investing. For sure, nobody wants to invest into something that has no use case or no uses at all. Now with regards to the NFT part, I'm investing also base on the use case of the NFT token inside the game (since I'm only investing on NFT related games).

Number 2 is my number one criteria number one is a pump and dump and when you engage in pump and dump and you miss the chance or late to dump your shares you will end selling whatever price to cut your loss, it's been proven that coins/token that will stay on top of the market are those with proven usage and supported by the community.
it is very risky to follow the trend that is built in the market. like buying in assets that are being pumped or dumped. especially in a pump situation, because if we are late in selling our assets at the right moment then we will only get losses or have to hold on for the long term.
a little better at investing when it's a dump. select market potential assets and acquire them for the long term. it will definitely be profitable. the most important thing is the selected asset.

I make investments based on market trends and prices, but not all coins I treat the same, there are several aspects that determine whether it will be a long-term or short-term investment, such as ETH and BNB which I currently make long-term investments because these two coins are mutually exclusive. I have potential and have many fans.

Isn't it a high risk to invest in a new project? especially when buying private coins or seeds? what if it fails? Are you ready to take risks that you never imagined?..

Risks when investing are present everywhere, and cryptocurrency is no exception. And despite this, I successfully invest in such projects at an early stage, although there are negative results. Suffice it to say that one successful project covers the loss of 10 unsuccessful ones, although in practice such unsuccessful projects do not exceed 30%.

Most successful investment strategy is buy when everyone is selling and sell when everyone is buying which can be long term or short term but definitely it is the most successful one.
Honestly, I say this is a good theory, but its implementation is very difficult, need accurate data when deciding to buy a coin that many have already sold or vice versa, if you just choose the coin that is being dumped then we are very likely to be stuck being a long holder , unless we do it on well know coins like BTC, ETH, BNB or coins that are in list 1-100 in CMC.

Most of the times it is the 2nd option that I prefer. I prefer to invest in projects which have a good utility.
But the rest of the times if I spot a trend I wait for the right time to enter and then hold the coin for a better return.

The best investment technique is to invest in well-known coins so that we don't hesitate to invest, this applies to long-term and short-term investments,
based on prices and market trends it is also good for us to invest because market movements greatly affect the price up or down what we invest

It is necessary to study market conditions and use indicators to analyze price trends before investing.
Select currencies based on market trends or invest in some new project currencies for short-term transactions.
Choose long-term investment in mainstream currencies and formulate investment strategies to obtain profits as prices rise.

I invest on gems that on the market and waited to be discovered by everyone, as the early adopters will always be the winner of any low cap projects. As investing DYOR will always be the first thing to do, adoption and used case products will certainly be my  first things to look at in a project. After that HOLD is they of success.

The most effective method is to conduct research. That is precisely what we must do. When it comes to investing, knowledge is power, thus we should conduct study to get it. We understand that if we are investing in new currencies, we must conduct research and background checks on those teams in order to ensure that they will not defraud you and that they are legitimate.

I invest and hold, sometimes I try to catch some tops and to sell at that time, so I can buy more coins when the price dips! I learned everything by myself, I had a headache from all the readings, from trying to learn about something totally new for me, from trying to apply all that in real practice, sometimes it's not an easy task to apply everything you learned...
So my investment strategy is my own, it's hard to describe it in a few words... but it works for me, and I am not sure it will work for others! What is unique for all of us is the learning part, trying to apply that and practice it with real money, and in the end, to find what suits you, your time, and your bankroll is important, as the part "how to do it" and be profitable in the long run! Try to learn and to find the best for you! It's my advice for all the people who are ready to invest themselves in crypto!
Learning on your own is definitely a good idea knowing you have all the resources then so there's no reason you can't do it. You don't need to rely on someone else as the crypto market is full uncertainties so better explore the market ands discover on your own.

I usually go with the market trends and all that goes that hype in the market as long as i know it has high potentials to gain huge demand and the utility case is there. Its just that lately i'm more attached on NFT's projects because of its usefulness so people are definitely rushing into it especially that its very profitable this time. And of course i'm still into hodling my most potential coins with bitcoin and ethereum and some top altcoins that are heading into their new ATH in less than 3 months i guess.

Most successful investment strategy is buy when everyone is selling and sell when everyone is buying which can be long term or short term but definitely it is the most successful one.

A more successful investment will be the purchase of coins at the stage of a private or seed round, when the coin is sold at a big discount. The next stage of the purchase, when you can profitably buy a coin, is the stage of public sale, but this price will be several times higher than the one at which early investors bought.

Isn't it a high risk to invest in a new project? especially when buying private coins or seeds? what if it fails? Are you ready to take risks that you never imagined?

But I believe the OP is referring to the investment of coins that are already in the market so this can choose a good strategy in every trend/hyep, but that also we must be able to get the right one when the trend/hype is no longer popular.

But as long as bullishness is still a positive trend in every strategy, the coins purchased will definitely increase.

I usually invest in top cryptocurrencies when the cryptocurrency market goes down very much and when the prices of top cryptocurrencies fall by 30-50 percent or even more, I also follow various cryptocurrencies and wait for some incredible news to come out in order to immediately have time to invest in these cryptocurrencies, because usually after very good news, the growth of these cryptocurrencies begins, also, I study various projects that conduct IDO`s, so that later through IDO I can participate in token sale, I also make investments in top cryptocurrencies when hard fork of these cryptocurrencies must be already very soon.

3. pretty even split of the two.
This seems to correspond to the strategy I have oriented based on my own benchmarking plans. Although, I am more biased towards the trend, and defi/nft compatible, scalable ecosystems have great potential to create challenges for ETH like ADA, Sol, Dot.

I also apply the method like you, but to apply this method we must be patient and also good at seeing the right moment to buy or sell the cryptocurrency that we invest, if these two things are not with us then don't expect too much big profit, because there are so many investors who lose when their predictions are not right

I've two at the moment. Grid trading with established coins and farming and staking on DEFIs, the second one is more risky with larger rewards while my grids are also performing well with 100% APY for over a month now. I too predict the market trend but mostly fail to hold those coins for long. Like I knew Polygon would be going above 1.5 soon and bought it around 1 but I was not able to hold it and sold it for some stupid DEFI tokens that went into being nothing.

Doesn't need long complicated answers - just a simple question:

Do you invest
1. mainly on price/the market trends
2. mainly on the underlying usefulness of the token/NFT
3. pretty even split of the two.

If it is bearish, this can indicate the unworthiness of the stock to be invested at that time. I will wait until the trend conditions improve. and I can also determine certain strategies to deal with this downward market trend.

I won't miss this, because I've missed the axie game

3. pretty even split of the two.

Hype, too many new coins and I have to see which projects are good for investment because some projects like memecoin have high price hikes, points 1 and 2 would be better if I can split them into 3,4 or 10 portfolios to avoid a little loss when invest in new altcoins.

We different strategy in our investment some doing long teem while in short term. But mostly ill relay on king coins like bitcoin and ethereum. Mostly buy on low so when it recover and the price is high and that the day of trading.  In other side NFT is also a big potential in your investment and they still on the trend now.

I invest in bitcoin, ethereum, bnb like most people have. But I also have coins from the top 20 coin lists and still hold them. I do not invest in the NFT project because I do not know which project can give me profit. I think it is better to invest in a project that I already knew than to invest in a project I do not know because I can reduce the risk of losing money. Although if I invest in the coins that I mentioned before can still give me a risk but at least I can expect to make a profit in the future.

I wish I didn't know about this market  Grin , because I really got caught up in it. In real life, it doesn't keep up with what this market looks like and offers. Frying isn't necessary because I'm living with it, profit-seeking reasons or something, and then people come back. So why should it be, simply live with it, that's the way I do it, maybe people think that they have to exchange for other things to exchange with real life, just feel it think that you've been thinking so far with it.

And not NFT right? and also not Meme coins?  Grin

i don't know why OP specifically mentioned NFT above , is he really shilling for this platform?

hope not lol

Of course I invest based on price, market trends and based on the amount of capital I use. If my capital is a lot I will buy ethereum or BNB for the long term and BNB for the medium term. And coins whose prices are still not high but potentially good in the future. As for the short term I only buy a few altcoins which I then sell at a certain price and I buy them back.
small or big amount if you really wanna buy the coin , it wont affect how much is your capital is because it is the trust that lead us buying the coin and not our capital indeed.

Do you understand yourself what to do with this market?

Looking at trends and values based solely on the concept you are feeling, you may be limiting yourself to that. Everyone's point of view is different, sometimes people look at the process and the outcome, and they enter the market to find something for themselves, maybe happiness.

I am old school person who prefers going with things that are known to give good returns and do have any hype machine to run them. This is applicable to bitcoin and the first few altcoins that came, namely litecoin.

The problem with NFT and before that DeFi staking pools or ICOs which came even before is that each of them have a hype to run them and do not have any intrinsic method to create a market of their own. Therefore the long term value of such investments is grim, however big they may grow on this day. I can say this backed by experience, such new projects have been known in the past too but today nobody remembers them. This is because majority of people who lost money investing in ICOs never came back, but moved on.

Newbies fall for these and end up wasting money. Only to be left with frustration and bad memories.

Now I invest in NFT-games, I buy tokens of such projects and some of them significantly grow in price. Also I invest in NFT-projects that are multifunctional. We know that if we are investing in new coins we need to search and background check those teams so that you will know that they will not scam you and also they are legit ones
Basically doing research and analyzing is important both before investing or trading,

Personally, I prefer short-term investments, because I mainly look at price movements/market trends, for short-term investments, you have to think about monitoring market conditions every day and every hour or at any time.
Second, I prefer quality tokens, which I think will increase in the next few days, and this type of token is what I target for short-term investments.

Market trends but sometimes i was also considering to invest mainly on the price as well and this totally depend with the situation of cryptomarket.

2. mainly on the underlying usefulness of the token/NFT
Yes, NFt has so many utility usages and this makes me feel interested to put more on NFT rather than another field like defi or protocol.

3. pretty even split of the two.
Or even more. That depends on what kind of assets that make me interested to buy that based on my analyzation whether such asset meets my criteria or not.

2. Utility or use-case would always be important to consider but there are some projects which hadnt able to get sufficient attention or lets say underrated but well this is how market works.

I invest with what I know and not just going with the crowd. The hype can be avoided but there are times that I have to learn about what's with the hype and if I think if it's sustainable. It's still about your knowledge as you invest because if you just go with the price and trend, you'll be doing it wrongly. I've done that in the past before that I only buy when I see the price of a coin goes up and I've learned that it's not really a good strategy at all because you'll regret it in the end. Because after it goes up then we know what's next.

The most important strategy in building an effective investment lies in creating a good investment portfolio. Cashflow and capital gains must be considered.

Capital gains are used to achieve long-term financial goals. But if you are just starting to invest, you should focus on getting cashflow income first. After having sufficient cashflow income, then start focusing on capital gains.

The proceeds from capital gains can later be used to buy assets that will generate passive income. That way it will be easier to achieve financial freedom.

I think the third point is the most reasonable, since now is the very time when the first two points are mutual. I mean, there are now cross-chain platforms that are becoming very popular. For example Near Protocol, Solana. You can look at them on the graph, and after studying deeper you will understand that it is in such projects that the first 2 points lie. In these ecosystems, everything has developed in order to be useful both for the main investor in the coin and in the coins within the ecosystem, be it Nft or Defi. So I think yes, now the crypto market is more to the third point
