I think it's currently on a bubble that will see it rise within a matter of only a few weeks to about US$1000, then crash.  But when it crashes I don't think it's going to come down to as low as it is now.  I'm thinking maybe ... US$500?  If I were more sure of that I'd be selling at around $950 then buying back in around $550, but I know darn well that I can't tell for sure when and how it's going to break; I can only guess, so I think I'll just ride the crash out then take a buying opportunity and ride the recovery.

Yep.  That's what I thought.

Nice to be right;  Annoying to not be confident enough to sell at $900 and buy back in at $550.

By the way if anyone interprets this as investment advice, I will giggle at that person a lot because they are an idiot.

I'm seeing it as a bubble, but I don't think that the bubble mentality can last long enough to bring it up to what I think its eventual fair price will be, so, I figure it's a bubble-crash-and-recovery pattern.  I think that I'll have some more money to invest by the time the crash brings down the price.
Don't call anyone an idiot.  we all learn.  Anyway, I think it will grow more if other countries get fully on board like china.  Kenya is already self sufficient on it.  Don't put all your eggs in one basket though

best advice

by some produce, EG baseball caps, cups, t-shirts, or anything else you see as top sellers on ebay. then sell them on bitmit or the forums for bitcoin with a profit amount added.

thus turning your 4000 Euro into 5000Euro's worth of bitcoin (25% markup)

this is alot better then trying to get registered on an exchange and waiting 3-5 days for wire transfer, and of course the euro to dollar conversion losses.

Bitmit is going to be closed, so that's not an option.

Buy a small amount first and learn how to securely store Bitcoins, because the risk of losing them or getting them stolen probably is the biggest one atm.

Don't put all of it into one address as people will see it being sent.

Why is this a problem?

Hi guys, i have some cash that i want to invest in Bitcoins let's say around 4000€ (5300$). What is the most profitable move to do at the moment???
Buy Bitcoins? They got really expensive lately.Wait for the price to go down and buy then? Buy a miner? I don't know when i'll receive it and the network difficulty is rising so rapidly every month because of ASICs. Cloud mining is an option??? What would you do in my position? Thanks in advance  Smiley
Make sure you have a virus free computer.  Get a new one or something.  Or make paper wallets and get people to deposit there when you buy.  Best to spread them to lots of paper wallets.  I suppose using your downloaded wallet is ok but encrypt it using the encrypt button.  Don't put all of it into one address as people will see it being sent.

My opinion...
Buy coins in 5 chunks about $1000 each,  spread over  5 weeks.
Mining is a waste of money.
Cloud mining is a waste of money.
