Old thread. But I also wonder.. Whats your thoughts on Cosmos Atom in 2024?  Smiley
I am a bit interesting in invest in it, but it never hurt to get some more opinions about the coin first.
There is nothing wrong if you want to invest in ATH. In my opinion, the graph presented so far of Atom's movement is better than that of existing potential altcoins. It could still provide a surprise after the last ATH by increasing again in 2022, where other altcoins actually corrected. The price is currently falling. If you are sure there is no harm in buying and keeping, I myself am quite interested in it. Hopefully it will increase in time.

Thanks for your answer, yeah I bought some yesterday. Just a few to check it out and test, and I will look into it more today and probably buy some more.
What I am saw and got nterested in is in TIA ( https://www.coingecko.com/sv/coins/celestia ) seems to be at the same network and some ALT-coin or something?
Do you have any feeling there to?  Seems to go UP&DOWN quite a lot and often.

Cheers.

I appreciate the comments.  I consider myself NOT very unknowledgeable on the technical aspects of crypto, hence the that I like the Atom storyline but don't know all the risk.

I screwed up the holdings:

BTC 40%
ETH 40%
BCH 10%
Atom 10%

I know the backstory on BCH. My thoughts are that it is a momentum play and will appreciate with BTC and included in crypto ETF and crypto index funds when they come.   I do plan to make BTC a larger percentage of my holding.
You can do that. And it's going to be done with the help of those other altcoins that you're holding. If you see that it's now time to sell them and you're going to make money from it which shall be converted to bitcoin, you don't have to wait for any longer time just for you to add more bitcoin.
And if you have some extra money, do the dollar-cost averaging strategy.

Currently I hold the following:

BTC    10%
BCH    40%
ETC    40%
Atom 10%

I am not that interested in Atom but i want to comment on your portfolio if you don't mind. Smiley
It's good to have bitcoin and i guess you hold it in 10% for long term investment, and it's also good to have another 0% share of a new crypto (Atom) which may bring some income (who knows). but, i see you put the two big parts in two uncertain coins which are BCH {a decentralized crypto made by a hard fork from the bitcoin blockchain and aims to eliminate bitcoin from the scene as it claims to solve its problems} and ETC {one of the classic cryptocurrencies in the market but the one who has a lot of successful network manipulation attempts, you should be careful using official ETC releases or even when holding it within exchanges}.

Isn't that a good coincidence that the coin that you want to discuss is supported by Ledger's staking? that's already a good start for you to have your thoughts if it's a good coin or not. But since you have already a portion of it on your portfolio, you might consider putting it at stake through ledger wallet.

What are your thoughts on the Cosmos Atom - Technically and price appreciation wise.

First, I'm a fool for a good storyline and the internet of crypto got me.   Atom appears to have it.

Also, what is the possibility of a bigger player coming in and putting Cosmos out of business or relegating it to a minor share of the market?

Currently I hold the following:

BTC 40%
ETH 40%
BCH 10%
Atom 10%

Below is a mistake, that I corrected above.
BTC    10%
BCH    40%
ETC    40%
Atom 10%
