I have read and heard about that news within this forum and some news online and that really surprised me a lot knowing that YouTube is one of the biggest social media platform being used to promote projects that involves or related with cryptocurrency usage. For me, I am not making or thinking it as a big deal because YouTube have admitted it so it can be considered as an honest mistake that maybe due to technicality reasons. I have read that YouTube have extended their help to somehow retrieve those videos that are still retrievable and I think it is a responsible response from their part making solution to the problem.

In my own opinion, before YouTube explained that it was just a mistake, a lot of people assumed that YouTube is starting to delete some crypto related video because of increase of scams in ICO projects.
Youtube is really a very useful platform for crypto because this is where most people advertise their projects by posting videos and ads, that is why a lot of people have begin to get interested to buy crypto, thanks to YouTube.

the transition is still very likely to happen if the youtube does not make any improvements to crypto there, but i'm still sure such problems will at least be a concern that must be prioritized by the platform because the future will continue to grow and all want something bigger as time goes by

The damage has been done already and there is nothing like it’s going to be fixed Cool

or are they going to re-upload all those videos that they have deleted from their platform? I know the answer to that is NO, because this is a problem that can’t be solved in anyway.

All they can do about it is just to apologize to YouTubers that were affected (which they have done) and that’s it, everyone would just move on and start creating new contents again. YouTube is the best platform for promoting crypto, I have seen others like D-Tube which is a decentralized vlogging platform but can’t be compared to YouTube that has a bigger audience.

People loves to exaggerate things and this is one example. Surely YouTube was already a big platform and bigger than cryptocurrency, I my opinion YouTube issues in cryptocurrency related videos already answered since the YouTube platform already called it a mistake I think it was already solve the issues as soon as they already restored the blocked and deleted videos in the YouTube platform because it was kind of unfair to the cryptocurrency related videos content creators for their videos to get deleted easily. Imagine for many years they are making this videos and easily with this kind of error it was all deleted I think it could easily be solve as soon as the blocked videos as restored. But for sure it was a big problem for the cryptocurrency community if YouTube is going to avoid or banned cryptocurrency in their platform since the YouTube was already a big platform for us and already influenced a lot of people all over the world using this videos.

Really been useful, and will always be an important thing not just for crypto but other stuff who want to spread wide influence. YouTube is a huge platform so the impact it did in the crypto space especially for the crypto enthusiast is really a serious one, though it cannot just be say sorry one but at least we don't have to make the issue more severe than it already was since YouTube were sincere in admitting it (looks like), and they fixing it right away (because it really must).

You're probably not going to experience much channel growth on other websites even if you're hosting your videos on a site that's very cryptocurrency focused.

I agree. Mistake accidentally done by YouTube has become a wide talk within the news and almost all have been alarmed with the said incident. But since YouTube have admitted that the incident happens on their side, they have made an action to somehow retrieve those videos related to crypto, but sad to say that some of those deleted videos are unfortunately cannot or still into the process of retrieving. But it is good to know that YouTube, have taken the full responsibility about the incident. It is indeed that YouTube was one of the most useful platforms to promote crypto usage on the crowd. They already admitted it, so maybe there is nothing more need to fix. They must be having a hard time at the time they eradicated important stuff related to crypto but they already admitted it. Well, they should fix it right away because youtube has a lot of crypto sponsors and many ads, they don't want to lost it or they lose a huge percentage of their revenue. Yes it will be back on youtube again because cryptocurrency is our future, if we think about the future we cannot ignore the fact that cryptocurrency will be there so banning crypto stuff on youtube will be a mistake that they will realized when its too late if they will not realize it now. Youtube will consider adding cryptocurrency in their platform im the future and i am sure of it. If we can't learn crypto on youtube then lots of newbies will loss their interest and that will have big effect not only to crypto but to the world.

Youtube will continue as it is and I think it will just purge those who have less subscribers that are even asking their viewers to invest in their project, because that would be mostly the red flag of a scam, unless the channel was from a reputated company and it is just starting up to make a YT Channel.

YouTube will care more from how they compensate and will take care of those account that will bring benefits to their sites. We don't need to worry about how they run their business, those who are not satisfied can move away and find other sites that will also give them profits same format with how YouTube gave opportunities to their sharer.

Youtube ia really a useful platfrom for crypto because a lot of projects uses ads to advertise and promote their project in YouTube videos. Also, it is really hard to believe that it was all a mistake and bug because the question is why crypto related videos was the only videos that was deleted in the first place, but when we look at the bright side YouTube is now fixing and trying to recover all the crypto related videos.

Since they apologized it's only a matter of time before everyone is unbanned and everything goes back to normal.
Everybody can make mistakes but there's something interesting about this case. How does their algorithm work? What did they change that suddenly banned most crypto-related videos. We know it wasn't the age restriction because some youtubers had videos tagged for mature audience and those videos also got removed.

Maybe it was a test to see if they can quickly dispatch with all content creators related to a certain subject?

Yeah, the damage has been done and I think this could happen again in the future. And now, crypto YouTubers are looking for better alternatives. I think decentralized video sharing sites should be used by crypto enthusiasts so that censoring will not affect their content.

This will happen for sure in the future, and i think this will happened if many people victim of many scam because of scammers promotional video .
Decentralized video sharing platform will be useless in my opinion because many people commonly use Youtube and of course youtube will be the bridge for more awareness about cryptocurrency.

What is my only take on this? Youtube already commited the mistake and they've already apologized. Good thing about this is that they will not do it again. They made a mistake and its good thing that they admit it, now we can use Youtube platform again to advertise bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Youtube is a big platform, advertisements works on that platform and thanks to them that they wont totally ban cryptocurrency. The term should be legitimate crypto related channels. Otherwise this will continue as long as there are bad actors taking advantage of the platform to advertise scam projects, pump and dump groups etc.

Yes, the would is still deep and won't dry out yet to leave a scar.
The scar will be seen forever though.

What could have been the real deal with them?
Is the mistake done in purpose or is it just a real mistake?
But with that big of a company, room for mistakes are low. They cannot just bring down advertisements like that which are paying.
Time for more explanation and they should not stop until they think the people are convinced.

Youtube may have accidentally deleted some videos, but I do not think they are all innocent in this regard. As I read yesterday, there were scam ones among the deleted videos. If this is true, we should thank youtube instead of condemning it. It was opposed to future deception. If there is something I do not know, I would like to know about it.

Their job is to ensure a safe and peaceful environment

It's possible, the purge repeats itself in no distant time because the cause of the issue is yet to be addressed. I think youtube just got trigger happy. It's ridiculous. There is not a place for censorship in a free world. I'm glad this is coming to an end and it is a mistake. Though to be fair to youtube there are so many scams out there. The link is a good read and I am amused by knowing that even the picture of Elon Musk was being used to scam people. Really, this will put the industry into another roll of issues and social concerns. If even the Twitter accounts of verified users are not safe, where would this put us? People need to wake up from the dream that someone will just give them free crypto. It's almost 2020, and we're not prepared for the new set of issues. Hopefully, everything can still work out.

I think people reacted over on the recent Youtube's mistake. Whoever YouTuber they know, youtube sometimes delete videos mistakenly and if you appeal they will fix it, sometimes they fix without any appeal. That guy overreacted and made news about it. Youtube is a great helpful platform for crypto, So, we should take it simply instead of making drama.

yes, as soon as possible the youtube company will fix it. Actually not only YouTube that bans crypto and even including Google, but not completely. because we all also realize that every company that is bound to the digital / internet world certainly has a positive and negative side, including fraud.

i just saw the youtube i followed a lot are now up and their videos are back online again. youtube had restored their videos. now that crypto once again caught the attention of youtube, i will probably start uploading videos promoting the products i have and some altcoin reviews. i can see a lot who does it for bounty campaigns are easily getting tokens in few minutes of their talk about the project, some are just reading the contents of the website. a newbie should try this.

Since YouTube came out and said that it was a mistake to remove those videos and they will reinstate all the videos removed then what is the issue here, if they are continuing a denial of reinstating then we can say that it is a damaging thing, but you have to understand that there are a ton of scam and stupid advertisement been conducted using the platform as well and we need some sort of moderation on that part to prevent scam.

If they admitted that it was a mistake on their part then they obviously need to fix it.

However, many are still saying that their crypto channels are still blank and most of them have 2 strikes in the last twenty four hours so I doubt that youtube will reinstate them soon.

I would agree that Youtube are very useful platform not only in crypto. So they really need to think about and get it fix ASAP.

YouTube uses quite a lot of help, especially in marketing and technology education, and in this decision I was actually quite disappointed because it could affect the level of knowledge from existing education and crypto marketing which would certainly be more beneficial if YouTube did not do this ban

Oh i see this and many of my friends youtube was been blocked, but as long as they follow the rules i think its good and everything will be back normal. It will only takes time for them to fixed the things and i think to review what's in there crypto is no longer new as it is like stocks. What only makes it bad is because of promotional products and ico projects that are scam just for them to earn money.

The real point is that Youtube cannot live without the support of the people and nowadays many people are the part of crypto and if Youtube will not support the crypto then people will start to hate or leave Youtube. It is right that Youtube is a useful platform for crypto but crypto is also a very useful tool for Youtube. The recent mistake from Youtube put a bad effect on youtube itself as after that issue the trust on that platform is reduced and people will then not rely on Youtube alone for saving and keeping their videos.

Hoping that a new platform will be born as an alternative to crypto haters. Youtube, google, facebook, lately increasingly hating crypto, and who is wrong? I think we have to realize, in the future there will be a movement against scammers. This is purely an average who is ensnared and a victim of fraud is a new person who knows crypto.

It's the same bullshit all over again, Cyber Scams are happening years before crypto in YouTube, Google, & the whole internet.
It's just another round of making crypto the bad guy (ol news), cryoto is the thing used to buy drugs & Money Laundering & that kin of bullshit.
An endless drama that is beyond YouTube, Google hands for sure.

Yeah, the damage has been done and I think this could happen again in the future. And now, crypto YouTubers are looking for better alternatives. I think decentralized video sharing sites should be used by crypto enthusiasts so that censoring will not affect their content.

I don't think there's any damage to it honestly since YouTube retracted all of its actions in the past few days and admitted to a "mistake." If anything, it will just raise the curiosity of observers and would dare look into the issue deeper and find themselves searching for more cryptocurrency-related topics, videos, content and whatnot. Not that I'm telling everybody here that what happened is okay. It's just that the moment YouTube admitted that there was a "mistake," everything was undone and everything is back to normal as if nothing even happened.

They should fix it, they both need each other, these channels provide traffic and viewerships from the ads these channels are displayed, and influencers still need Youtube as their platform, maybe in the future, we will have our own video sharing site.
