meanwhile, the NODE_BLOOM service bit is set to be off by default in Bitcoin 0.19, which will be released in the fall

the actual wallet software (the BitcoinJ based on-chain Bitcoin Wallet) this sub is based on is set to slowly fade away, unless the developers change direction and add payment channels. It would be more appropriate as a mobile app anyway; if they implement BIP157 in BitcoinJ as a transitional step, then work on adding channel support after, that could keep this whole project going. It's the best mobile wallet app, so it would be a shame to see it relegated to bitcoin history

They have just released another update. The changelog indicates that they fixed a few bugs so it might now work properly for you. Did you reach out to the developers?

No, it was a busy weekend. Going to try it tonight.

Anyone else having this issue?

Everything seems to be working on my side. What Android version do you have? They didn't change much in this update so that's surprising.

The 8-July update broke it on my phone.
Open it and it instantly crashes. Anyone else having this issue? Since it's beta software it's on my phone that I use for testing so there could be other things causing the issue. But, before I spend time this weekend wiping and re-setting it I would check here.

No, I didn't ping out to the developers yet.

A few days ago, Zap for Android was published. Currently, it only allows user to manage funds and see the channels of an external LND node. iOS version has way more features but that's because the Android version has been developed by a different user who did it voluntarily. Full story can be read here.

This wallet is currently useful only to those who are running a LND node. Creation of payment requests is much easier with it. lndconnect is required on the node.
