I'm newer to trading currencies (started using bitcoin back in 2010 but didn't start paying attention to it for trading until a few weeks ago along with everyone else, I guess). I wanted to start a conversation to discuss ZB.com. I moved a good portion of my money there thinking I was going to be able to withdraw it but being an English-speaker, I didn't realize that I couldn't withdraw USDT and/or XRP. Now I've paid a high price for both (First I traded for USDT at a premium and realized I couldn't withdraw. Since I couldn't withdraw USDT, I traded it at a premium for XRP to try to withdraw and that failed too.) Yes, the pricing was a trap but now I'm stuck since the volume to convert it back to BTC is super low to the point where I'd lose 75% of my value to get all of it moved back out of the exchange. What do I do? Do I just write off all that money? Argh! I know I just fell into a newbie trap but someone's gotta' know how to fix this.

are you able to withdraw BTC from zb.com if you're american?

I bit the bullet and took the loss this morning. Too bad I didn't wait as XRP has gone up significantly today. I traded it for HShares and withdrew it from ZB.com. i'm done with them for now. I tried to switch back to BTC and get back onto XRP during the run up but my BTC got stuck at GateHub and isn't expected to post for 24-48 hours because my wallet wasn't activated. I'm falling into all the newbie traps with exchanges. It's not such a pity that I lost out on the opportunity since XRP has almost doubled and my money got stuck with ZB.com and now with Gatehub. Someone should write a newbie's guide on how to avoid all the pitfalls of exchanges and either getting stuck (unable to withdraw) or getting delayed (transferring BTC and the exchange not crediting it because of their complicated "trustline" scheme).
