Imagine you would have won the lottery. Would you announce it to the world or would you keep it for yourself?

This is the same thing but in lesser extent. Look at some well known wallets in the bitcoin protocol, it is highly anticipated that when someone would move assets from that wallet he would be under inspection by hundreds of people following the transactions.

The question is not why you need privacy or anonymity, but why would you need to know what someone is transferring to someone else.

Also think of it this way. You live in a perfect world where no one is persecuting you. No one cares about your money. If you were to live in China where you have a certain limits as to transferring money or even being in possession of foreign currency, you would have a different opinion.

On the other hand if Bitcoin is connected with criminal activity then Zcash will be the marvel of it.

Hello,
I was just reading this article
Code:
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/new-digital-currency-zcash-promises-total-anonymity-and-privacy-1455720144

So basically this is a new way for rich people to hide their unwanted transactions...for example bribe. Companies, politics etc...

Because why would you need privacy? Now with fiat and banking youdo not have it. And its hard to bribe someone.

Maybe you guys know why it would be good to have your transations private Smiley

Ps:  your wife will still find out youre cheating Wink
