This is just a soft fork or a hard fork? I mean the coins will be totally replaced with Ycash? And should all Zcash withdrawed from exchanges before fork or can stay on exchanges?

This is a hard fork, similar to the BTC/BCH and BCH/BSV hard forks. Ycash will be a new coin that shares the same ledger as Zcash up until block height 570,000.

The only exchange thus far that has announced that they will credit ZEC holdings with the equivalent amount of YEC is Safe.Trade. Unless your exchange explicitly says that they will credit ZEC holdings with the equivalent amount of YEC, you must assume that they will not do so.

We are risking significant amounts of money and time to launch this fork.

Also, the Ycash Foundation is a nonprofit incorporated in Delaware. We will be applying to the IRS for tax-exempt status, so we will be subject to IRS regulations regarding nonprofits, including the regulations prohibiting nonprofits from enriching individuals associated with the nonprofit.

what do you think?
This is 2019 and I thought we have moved pass this get rich scheme called hark forks designed to fool the crypto community.. I definitely hope this won't be the introduction of another shitcoin with zero development or community support in the making.. Will be watching with keen interest to see how it all unfolds..

ycash should have their own website. I saw they have already an ann thread posted 7 days ago.

[ANN] Ycash, The First “Friendly Fork” of the Zcash Blockchain

But if you use google for the results, you will find a same name website but I don't think this belongs to them though it's also about payment systems.

http://www.ycash.com/

ohh thank couldn't find that ANN by easy search

not much disccusion there
i am curious as i like the zCash project

can it be a major fork?
Mate, I'm not updated with the progress of zCash, you could probably ask to their main thread and ask those things that you want to ask related to the fork.

But most likely, these forks are the new generation of splitting money. They are likely to create wealth through forks and later on if there's no strong developers and community with that fork, majority will abandon it.
