sorry about the off topic question.... but anybody knows, how to cpu mining Zec in a Mac??
thx
Unfortunately, the official support for Zcash mining is still limited to Linux. I'm also waiting for a official Windows miner.

Hello!
thanks for the data.
do you know any linux miner that works with NVIDIA gpus?

i compiled nicehash nhqminer from sources, it mines fine with CPU but does not detect the GPUs
and i couldn't find any other CUDA miner outthere.
thanks!
indkt.

ocminer from suprnova.cc made his own builds, some based on nicehash code.
On getting started page there are quite some links, maybe one could work for you.
You can check on the various zcash pool pages, maybe one works for you.
Or you can try this https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/open-source-zec-zcash-gpu-miner-amd-nvidia-up-to-45-sols-on-rx480-1660023 , at least you can discuss with the miner's dev and see what's wrong...

These are all just cloud mining, no GPS required, high risk of losing your money in a clever scam Smiley
I have mined 0.0014453 ZEC with 10 hash/s so far with www.Zcash-Miner.com.

Known issue that "genoil's" miner is crash prone.
Unfortunately, most of the code isn't his, and he's not had time to dig into it and fix the issues (or preferably write a NEW miner from scratch that meets his usual efficiency standards AND is reliable).

The nicehash miner version posted on flypool has been running stable for me for hours (edit - 2 days on the stable machine now) (on one machine, the other machine crashes fairly often running ETH for reason(s) I've not had the time to troubleshoot while moving, so I don't blame the nicehash software for the MACHINE crashyness issue).

flypool working fine on Windows.

IMO just drop the cloudmining garbage, that's NOT OS -specific and it's all crazy overpriced as usual.

ZEC is active on Bitttrex (and I recall ethereum wisdom showing at least 4 other activer exchanges for it).

flypool does not work for me AT ALL.
genoil's miner quits in the first second (win10, 8gb RAM, four sapphire RX 470 cards)

Where to provide wallet address in GM if we wanted to buy zcash hash power?

Is there any wallet out yet?
At current bitcoin price, www.zcash-miner.com hash power seems to be cheaper than www.genesis-mining.com.

yeah, but is it trustable? i never heard of them(never searched about it tho).
cloud mining isnt a good way to mine, especially with a unknown company.

genesis have a lot complaining about profitability of their contracts, but they are here for a long time doing cloud mining.

PS: i don't recommend genesis nor any other cloud mining.. i'm just saying they are more reliable.
Last week I dint know about Zcash either and have really no idea regarding the trustworthiness of zcash-miner.com, genesis-mining.com or even Zcash (heard that they need a trusted setup to mine genesis block). Cheesy

I just compared hash power price and it appeared zcash-miner.com is better than genesis-mining.com. That's all.

I think tomorrow you'll have ZEC on Polo so you would have an address:
"Zcash will be available for trading on Oct 28th. We will announce when the ZEC market is live."

From what I know zec.suprnova.cc also works for Windows miners.
ocminer posted on suprnova a link to a customized nicehash miner that should work on windows (CPU and/or GPU) with this pool (or even any pool?). https://zec.suprnova.cc/index.php?page=gettingstarted
