Just wondering how many people have been following ZCoin, and what future people think it has?

Considering that ZCoin (XZC) and ZCash (ZEC) both use zero-knowledge proofs to make transactions anonymous, it seems crazy that one is valued at 1.3 BTC and the other at 0.0023 BTC!

I could see ZCoin disappearing slowly into the ether if they mess up, but they have a decent roadmap (https://github.com/zcoinofficial/zcoin/wiki/Roadmap) planned, and seem in it for the long-haul. If ZCash crumbles, could ZCoin fill the void?

There is a great "everything in one place" set of info here for zcoin for anyone interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/ZCoinProject/comments/5aceal/zcoin_xzc_news_updates_and_links_updated_regularly/

Discuss!

(I am not involved in the development or promotion of zcoin in any way, in case anyone asks)

I think Zcoin will have a big future ahead. This price is interesting to invest .
I still buy Zcash and Zcoin but I spend more money for Zcoin. I hope I can get 50% profits after 3 months later.

Zcoin rallied up to 9500 sat. But then quickly came back to 6000 sat.
Not a good sign

It does not have big user community.

lol it was 0.01 BTC 50 days ago. Lost value 100 times.

You cant issue coins so slow as was Bitcoin. If you do you get this anomalies where coin lose value 1000 times in few months.

I dont understand this people are cartographers, but dont understand simple math.

Do not worry, the price will rise again.

When?.
This coin has the same result with ZEC.

IMO, don't expect too much about the future of coin. It will need a lot of the time for recover his price.

Listen to the below and judge for yourself how knowledgeable clueless Gary Le of Zcoin is:

CryptoHolics Ep.02 – Interview with Riccardo Spagni of Monero and Gary Le of Zcoin

He didn't seem clueless to me. Can you elaborate on why you think he is clueless?

I think one needs to take into account the cultural peculiarities of European South Africans compared to Chinese Americans  Grin

Too many coins starting with 'Z'.
Zcash, Zcoin, Zcash classic.

I know its kind of ridiculous, but people will be confused and claim that its just a ripoff of another coin because of the similar name.
Most people don't actually research a coins technology or its developers.
They are just following trends and whatever coin is trading hot on the exchanges.

That's true. I know Zcash have been censoring us on their forums and they deleted their slack recently so they can control the conversation more. They don't want people to know Zcoin exists!

If the ZCoin has many new features, people will use it and it is not stoppable. Otherwise, it is just a scam.

The ZCoin is just a clone of the ZCash. It does not have active development.
What do Gary Lee and Poramin Insom do then?

I dont think it will go much high, it will remain in the shadows like every other new alt coin that is coming around these days. Maybe it will be around for few months and then woosh! its vanished.

It will  not go  high for  sure, same as you said  it  would   remain on the shadows  just  like what  happens  on  most altcoins on the market. Zcoin  is  older  than  zcash  as  i  presumed  but  regarding on its price it  didnt reach the  high  price  just  like what  happen  to zcash  on  previous weeks.

Lots of improvements being made around this coin atm... the website has been redesigned: https://zcoin.tech/ and it's been added to https://www.coinpayments.net/supported-coins

It's been badly managed but seems things are looking good for the long-term.

The ACTUAL anonymity technology it uses is amazing, and has significant advantages over zcash and monero, for example: http://zcoin.tech/?p=244&lang=en (Zcoin and Zcash: Similarities and Differences)

A website and coinpayment is nothing special
In fact, price is still dumping.
There are no relevant news ahead.

So what does ZCash have that ZCoin does not? A ton of hype and slick marketing that's what

Zcash aims to obscure the amount and the address. Zcoin only the address

interesting to watch what will happen with this coins. At the time on Bittrex is dump

The trick is to get in early before a Poloniex pump happens. Of course, it's not that easy. In order to benefit the pump needs to have a high volume, without high volume it's pretty much useless. The volume right now is 18 BTC... it needs to grow a lot to get any where notable.

Gary Le and Poramin Insom are the devs of this project with Poramin doing most of the coding.
The Zerocoin implementation works (you can try it for yourself) and it is indeed supported by Roger Ver
https://news.bitcoin.com/zero-knowledge-zcoin-launching-soon/
Check the disclaimer:
"Disclaimer: Bitcoin.com owner Roger Ver is invested in ZCoin. "
I saw that before. But you can post on your website that Pope has investment in Zcoin and I will again not believe it. You could show some other proof if you want to claim that statement is real. Maybe at least tell how that happened. Someone made an ZCoin wallet with rogers ver name and donated 1 ZCoin there? This kind of his investment i could believe in.  So can you please elaborate more how that statement come to that website?

Bitcoin.com is owned by Roger thats why there is a Disclaimer ! and btw he IS invested in ZCoin for real.

He keeps posting in /r/ZCoinProject for some reason... *hint hint*

Or this Bitcoin.com forum should also give you an idea. Wink

You should check who is involved in development and promotion and then use search on this forum about them or elsewhere and make yourself clear picture about it.

It's a good ZK coin based on a solid ZeroCoin implementation and it's supported by Roger Ver.

Good luck believing that.

Most altcoins are in the red right now with the BTC and ZEC hype.. I'm sure XZC will come back up very soon and there is still a good chance poloniex are buying right now and plan to add ZCoin Wink
