It has been another busy week for Zebi, with a lot of meetings and developments. Our CEO Babu has been in the USA, Sillicon Valley area for meetings and will fly to Dubai soon for a few more meetings before returning back to the Zebi head office in India end of this month. There is a lot going on behind the scenes which we unfortunately cannot disclose yet at this moment.
One exciting piece of progress within Zebi is the development of the Zebi-ID app (for hotel visitors). The Zebi-ID app is in its final stage of development and being set up for release. As the Zebi AI chain for hospitality is getting traction it?s good to revise what Zebi is doing for the (Indian) hospitality industry.

Zebi AI Chain is currently fully active in Andhra Pradesh. It is mandatory for hospitality establishments to gather visitor information for the Andhra Pradesh police, to make criminal background checks and tracking for national security purposes possible. This is common practise in many countries. Previously this process used to be executed manually; (printed) copies of identification documents were gathered by the hotels and provided to the police departments. This was a highly inefficient, costly, and unsecure process.
Zebi AI Chain has provided the solution, it has been adopted by over 650 hotels till date and new hotels continue to make the change to Zebi AI Chain every week.
What are the benefits of Zebi AI Chain?
For hotels:
There is no need anymore to submit physical copies of hotel Registers to the police station.
It creates an easier check-In and check-Out Process, extra fast for frequent visitors.
The process can be managed anywhere, also from a distance.
It can generate automated Reports.
There is a dedicated Police Helpline, hotels get a safe and secure stay tag provided by police.
Information about the guest in case of any complaints raised by previous hotel.
For Guests:
Their check-in process got easier, especially if they visit several hotels using Zebi AI Chain.
Their privacy is maintained, there is no possibility to misuse their personal information/ID.
So what exactly is Zebi AI Chain for Hospitality?
Zebi has developed a reliable and Secure Digital Ledger for Hotels, Lodges and Service Apartments, powered by the Zebi AI Chain.
Zebi brings both privacy and security while automating the whole data transfer activity. All of private and sensitive data of individual hotel guests is stored in the Blockchain and any access or updates to the data are part of the immutable records on the Blockchain. The individual remains as the full controller of their data as consent of the individual is taken before every use of the data.
What does Zebi AI Chain for hospitality consist of?
The system consists of a web application, an android application, and some hardware requirements (webcam, tablet, a desktop/ Laptop). It is powered by Zebi AI Chain. At the moment Zebi AI Chain for hospitality is a fully B2B (Business to Business) operation. The web and android application are to be used by the hospitality establishments. As the Zebi ID app launches consumer focus will be added, as the app empowers the visitors registered on Zebi AI Chain (currently over a quarter million!).
How do hotels start using Zebi AI Chain?
Zebi sets up a different portal for each city that has hotels adopting Zebi AI Chain where hotels can register. After installing the required hardware and registering with Zebi AI Chain the hotels can login using their registered credentials and start registering the required visitor information on the Zebi AI Chain.
How does the VMS process work for guests?

A first time guest comes into the hotel, the hotel guest will need to proof his or her identity by providing an Identity document; Aadhaar id, drivers licence, or passport. This document will be scanned, and the information of the scan will automatically be translated to registered data. In case of an error a staff member can alter this registered data, but a note of this alteration will remain with the registration. Both the scan and the data will be added to the Zebi AI Chain for safe storage. Next a photo of the guest is added in the form of a webcam picture, Zebi AI Chain is used to recognize the visitors face at check-in. Lastly the hotel visitor provides and verifies his/ her phone number using a One Time Password through SMS or a missed call. (later a QR functionality is added to the possibilities as well).

Once a visitor is registered on Zebi AI Chain, check-in at new hotels becomes much easier. The webcam can be used to recognize the visitor using AI, and a text message with the One Time Password is send to the visitor?s phone for final verification. With this information the hotel can be sure about who is in their hotel and register accordingly on the Zebi AI Chain.
