Incidentally, bitcoins can now be used to purchase Zeevex through Gyft.com

If people are willing to pay in order to progress through your game rather than play through it all and enjoy it then something is wrong with your game and how it's designed. These people piss me off, that said, I partially blame the idiots who would pay money for such a service in the first place as well because that's how these developers stay in business.

I saw that a little while ago.  Didn't really understand who would want it.  Why would I buy game coins?  What the fuck would I do with those?  It's almost as bad as those free MMOs in which you have to buy all your equipment to progress through the game.  Just a waste of time.

I find it interesting that bitcoin has won a major cultural victory in getting the term "virtual currency" out there.

But man, it really annoys and pisses me off that all these companies hijacked it and can't even use it right!

Official Press Release

"Valve-Players-Hate-Buying-Virtual-Currency"

What do you believe this means for other virtual currencies, like Bitcoin, being accepted on Steam?
