Just to note since he is playing in the nba now I just saw him lose his shoe again. Undecided
I dont think it matters what sort of shoes he is wearing the impact he plays on the court just cant handle it no matter if they are special made nikes or not.

But yeah as harizen said it is not really gambling related and is already mentioned in another thread dedicated to basketball (nba) will close this thread on discussion about this player and the potential impact this could have on him playing any further for duke and in nikes.

Yet there is this post in the gambling section I just read going back a bit.
Zion seems to be injured. His shoe exploded while he was running which made him try to stop at a weird angle and seem to have a knee injury now. I am not going to go into debate of how these NCAA players are risking everything and getting paid none must be a crime by now but I will talk about the future of Zion that probably didn't change at all.

I mean this is one of those injuries that even though its bad that it happened after all its an injury but scouts like it, because it happened with a misfortune thing like shoe exploding and it just means that Zion didn't get injured for something small like derrick rose or Greg Oden who gets injured all the time.

Zions injury wasn't like that and he will probably get back to playing soon or at least keep himself out until NBA. Dude has one of the most NBA ready bodies I have ever seen on anyone and with NBA help from coaches and trainers dude can become a modern day Barkley.

I did mention I was betting while watching the game and it is part of gambling because the lines while I bet on the game didnt change when the incident happened while I found strange.
The tarheels had 2.50x odds in the first 15 minutes of the game even while leading by 10-12 points which was very strange when the dukes star player went down 34 seconds into the game.
The blue devils were still favoirites to win the match when this happened? Even if they were playing on home court still they couldnt expect to win the way they were missing shots and passing to the other team in transition.
They lost all equilibrium once zion went out. And North carolina took over the game from start to finish with a blow out score

Well, accidents happened, we couldn't say that it's the shoes fault.

Maybe his feet was really in a bad position and that shoes can't really the weight. Remember that Zion is a big guys but very athletic and it's too bad to see him got injured as he is been touted as the number one in the next NBA draft. But it was just accident and no one has to blame.

Nike shoes should carry the weight of all certain player no matter what's their length. They worked on that for since their inception. That's how Nike products should be as they are a long time partner of NBA.

Nike should really take the blame here even that's an accident. Cheesy

Anyways I think no further discussion is needed here as it's not really a part of a "gambling". If some sportsbetting site open a bet that involved Zion's team, they can just speculate or read other references. OP may consider to lock this thread.

Nike had a stock value plunges by $1.1bn because of this tragedy and been called one of the most expensive apparel failures in history, I really think that Nike had taken the most damage here because of the controversies, And some Speculations had arisen that the said accident was collaborated and not an accident at all Because of the damage of his shoes was in a terrible shape.

He is wearing PG 2.5, which we all know is Paul George signature shoes. Nike said that this is a isolated case and currently investigating the issue. But the timing though, resulting in a lost against North Carolina. And there's a lot of speculation that the incident causes Nike stocks to fall yesterday, LOL. And that shoes that Zion shoes (PG 2.5), is at sale today, ranging from 4.5% - 16% depending on the color.  Grin

I was watching the game last night because I was betting on the game and 34 seconds into it Zion Williams the star and upcoming prospect of the NBA draft next season all the sudden falls to the ground. Embarrassed
At first everybody thinks he twisted his ankle. But then you see the sole of his shoe ripped apart.
Nike is in defensive mode and the Duke audience which they were playing at home were in shock.
They thought their star player was going to be injured all because of those shoes ripping apart.
