Are you tired of having to download the whole blockchain when syncing your desktop wallet the first time you try a new cryptocurrency? Or when it have passed some time since the last sync? I have the solution for you.

The Sync process of the Desktop wallets may be slow because it needs to find active peers. I had a good idea to solve it. I uploaded the TX DBs of some wallets to my Dropbox. You can download them here:

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/g3ozd6ugpvq95dz/AAC9xKLFmhoyyfAJAmOCatbsa

By the time writing I only have the Latium DB (last sync: 12 Aug 2014, 16:30 GMT+1), but I hope to upload other wallets DBs soon and I would like your help to get it working.

And how to put it to your wallet, just unzip (the files are compressed in 7-Zip format) the files to the location where your wallet stores the transactions Database. For Windows Latium Wallets it's on %AppData%\Latium

I hope this will save some time.

If you want to help me you can join Dropbox as my referral so I will get extra space

If you are interested in contributing with some Wallets DB I can give you access with upload privileges to that folder. Just send me the e-mail used to signup to [email protected]

If there is any issue or you have any doubt just post it here.

I will try to update the wallets at least once per week.

Have a nice day  Smiley

Thanks for doing this. The last time I synced my mint wallet it took ages. It would have saved me a lot of time if I could have downloaded a zipped blockchain.
