hey mining genius, I'm looking for good advice. For a few days I researched about mining rig so I realize without big capital i cannot make a good mining rig. I cannot invest more than 300$ but I'm very interested about this project. here is the thing

i can buy 3 secondhand Zotac GTX750TI 2G DDR5 gpu card around 180$
my mother board MSI SOCKET 1151 Z270

so i need to know?

1.secondhand gpu is good for that?
2.which coins normally can mine?
3.is it worthy?
4.or invest that for trading

few of my friends told me not to involve with mining rig, I'm a little bit confused right now. Huh Huh Huh

Do you have a specific purchase offer 750? If not then it is better to consider the option of buying a pair of used RX460/560 or even 280/280X

750 offer is still open but i still didn't make a decision. RX560/460 are over 350$ (each) but 280X/280 i can buy below 150$(each) thanks for the information, i'll research about these  Smiley Smiley Smiley

His point is, with any hashrate, you enter the btc lottery, if you are beyond extremely lucky then you will find a bitcoin block worth 80k dolllars.

I have one 750ti on duty, and I found that this GPU best with cryptonote algorithm, you can choose any of this algo coin such as XMR, BCN, or maybe one of the popular coin now called electroneum.

thanks for shearing, can i know any problems you have faced with this gpu. (ex.any noise problem)

750ti is still a good choice if you are on a tight budget. The best coins to mine would be those based on cryptonight algorithm, Electroneum or Monero, for example. You can earn ~$2 per day this way. But if you want to gradually expand your mining rig, then I would consider buying 1060 3GB instead, less income per dollar of investment, but only one pci-e slot taken. Trading is much more risky...

im still learning this subject sorry for my knowledge. how can i identify which coins are belong to cryptonight algorithm? and if i use 1060 3gb or 6b one 400w power supplier is enough for that?

In the case you have a PC, even an old one, i would suggest to buy 1 x 1060 6gb.
When you have to start from 0 than only do it as a hobby and to get some experience.
300 is just to low.

750ti will give you around 70 sols at best on zcash

looking at the mining calc

https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/zec?HashingPower=70&HashingUnit=H%2Fs&PowerConsumption=0&CostPerkWh=0

you will earn $2.18 per week in income, thats before you pay electricity

You need a better GPU and lots of them, the profits are slim at best these days.

i checked through this calc  Shocked Shocked Shocked GOT HEART ATTACK . i think have to use 400w power supply and here cost per KW/h 0.21$ per day -1$
my imagine is this coin is not suitable for this rig Sad Sad . still i cannot go high gpu
