Finally, the Wolves managed to win. They had fewer field goal attempts but made more than the Mavs. However, they need to improve their free throws; they are really bad at it. They only managed to make 16 out of 25. Although they have managed to extend the series, they still need to win three in a row to reach their first NBA Finals. That's kind of hard to do against the Mavs unless they show what they did in the first and second rounds of the playoffs. Then, they do have a chance, but currently, I'm not very optimistic.

I’m glad that we get to see more basketball. I love watching Anthony Edwards play so even though they are doomed it is nice to see another game. The Boston Celtics are no doubt happy to see this series continue too. Especially with how rough it is getting as they get to sit back and get some rest in before the start of the finals.

We've seen great players when their backs is against the wall, they responded with big games and so we have seen it from ANT, who scored 29 points and then KAT with a big 25 points. So at least they keep their hopes alive and doesn't want to be swept by the Mavs. And this sums up everything for the Mavs,

Quote
“This one hurts. We were expecting to be happy at the end of the game.

Now we’re pissed off.”
- Gafford

So let's give the Wolves at least a fighting chance in the next game. For sure this is going to be massive and fans showing up in their support for the Wolves to force this series a big longer.

There's nothing more to lose on the Wolves so they're giving it all. The primary mission was to avoid getting swept. And so they did it. I was still thinking that Dallas will once again overpower Minnesota in the dying minutes of the fourth quarter but the Wolves held on. KAT burying that huge three and Edwards' jump shot sealed the game. Dallas did a late scare but luck was also not on their side. Luka had a bad night in terms of his FG. And once again, Dallas losses every time Luka shoots below 40%.

And the Minnesota Timberwolves still survived it.

Great defense + aggressive attack of KAT and Antman is the recipe for their win. Foul trouble became a big problem for them and I thought they were going to lose it because of that. But Gobert did well in the last minutes of the game after receiving his 5th foul. So many stupid fouls that they made, KAT and him but they somehow managed to get the win tonight.

I will agree with Draymond Green in the inside the NBA discussion, it's Kyle Anderson who was doing the small things that are not listed in the stat sheet that helped them out. Screens, the right positions, and defending Luka Doncic. They need that and it was a successful one. Luka is 7/21 in the field and I think he did a great job against him.

We are going back to Minnesota for Game 5.

Yes, they are back at least for Game 5 at their homecourt and still survived this series and gotten their first win in the West finals after more than 20 years. KAT is very aggressive in this game, and although he hasn't shot well in the series, when he hit his first 3 point shot, you know that he will go back and look for more. One drawback is that they are in foul trouble.

Nevertheless, they force the Mavs to a lot of easy shots, great defense by Rudy inside. And surely, they missed the services of Lively in this game.

Now the Wolves are the favorite at 1.5x.

A little crazy that Anthony Edwards still thinks that Minnesota is going to win while they’re on the verge of being swept, but I like the confidence. Hopefully they can win at least one game to avoid embarrassment, but at this point I think we’re all ready to call the Finals between Dallas and Boston. Should be a good series.
Well, that's why he's the captain of the Timberwolves. He has that kind of mindset where being down 0-3 will not affect him mentally. Waving the white flag even though the series isn't over yet is not a good trait of a leader. He needs to be mentally fine because he's considered "the leader of the pack".

It's good that he has that kind of mindset even though they are down 0-3, and just a few hours ago, they won in Game 4 against the Mavericks and forced a Game 5 in their home. Like many are saying, it's not over yet until it's not over yet

Tonight could be the last game for the Dallas Mavericks. If they win, they will make the series 4-0 and become the champions of the West.
If they win tonight, they will play in the finals with the Boston Celtics.
My opinion is that they will win tonight and play in the final.
If they make it to the finals, I want Dallas to win.
Unfortunately, they can't close it out on their own home because the Timberwolves won in Game 4 on the road against the Mavericks 105-100.

Again, it's a close one and it's good that the Timberwolves forced a Game 5 on their home and prevented being swept like what happened to the Pacers. Their 5 starters scored double-digits as they are doing the "distributed offense" yet again. On the other hand, Luka scored 28 points which is his usual score, but Irving only scored 16 points. This is a crucial part for the Mavericks if they want to win the title, they need both and Luka and Kyrie to lead the offense.

Anyway, congratulations to the Wolves for winning the game and extending the series.

~
We are going back to Minnesota for Game 5.
And because we will be going back to Minnesota in Game 5, I expect them to win there as well, and the Mavericks will end it on Game 6. If not, the Mavericks are doomed. They will be remembered as the team who blew out a 3-0 lead in the playoffs. Cheesy Too early to tell though.

Bronny James saying he will only try out for 2 NBA teams in spite of receiving plenty of interest. This is an interesting take. Especially with LeBron saying he’s a free agent while he has a player option on his contract. Makes me think we might actually see a LeBron and Durant pairing in Phoenix if the Lakers drop the ball on Bronny. Phoenix and the Lakers being the 2 teams he said he’d try out for.

I also had a feeling LeBron and Durant might team up next season. Well, of course LeBron's decision where to play next will for sure get influenced by whoever drafts Bronny. I mean, the dream for a father and son tandem in the NBA is still there regardless if Bronny said it's totally fine if he won't end up the same team as his dad.

It's a strange decision, considering his poor stats in the NCAA. The latest rumor I've heard is that Bronny will either be picked in the second round of the draft or not drafted at all. So maybe he already has some deal with those two teams? Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the Lakers decide to get Bronny to keep LeBron for at least one more season.

It's the end of the second half, score is tied 49. Wolves trying to hang on his game, as they build a good lead but then the Mavs keeps coming back. Who say that left hand floater from Kyrie? Or Exum also using his left hand to score and beat the clock.

Luka and ANT already has 17 points in this game.

ML for Dallas is at @1.70 and I think this is still very attractive to beat and the end of the half. Yeah, it seems that this is the intention of the Mavs, to finished this series with a 4-0 win, a clean sweep as they don't want to travel to the Wolves homecourt and extend this series a little longer as the Boston Celtics is already waiting and enjoying a full rest.

No offense but Lakers don't need another short man. Bronny is short and what they have to focus with is to get a big man that's flexible which won't be Bronny.

But as the media and fans are telling, if Lakers get him and it's just all about Lebron telling wants to play with his son before retirement so with that, it's all about the entertainment and fan base that he's got and not with the actual competition.

Although no doubt they've reached the playoffs but that's one of the lacks that they need to fill for their roster. So if it won't be Bronny that the Lakers will take, no doubt Lebron will be a free agent or that's already decided since he said that he's free.

No matter where he goes, what we want here is to see them play with his father and that's what we want to witness because that's one of the best things to happen in the NBA where a legendary player like LBJ plays with his son despite all of that, he is still scoring 20+ points and probably play more minutes as usual with his son on the court. I think such a record is hard to break because you need to be one of the best players to stay in the NBA and be famous like LBJ to decide what you want and your decision also matters to the team.

Yeah, congratulations to Jaylen as well for winning the conference MVP. I thought that it's Jayson Tatum that will get it.
Tatum was the favorite to win but it was Brown who had a better contribution in the series, so he deserve that. Actually, like that as we can clearly see that these two best players of the team are having great games, which means the chemistry is really good.

However, just look at this reality.

1st round beat the Miami (less Butler)
2nd round beat the Cavaliers (less Mitchell)
ECF beat the Pacers ( less haliburton)..

Their journey really is quite easy, but can they beat a healthy team like the Dallas Mavericks?

Dallas is not that 100% healthy, Lively could be out and Luka is still limping and we can see that in the last game. But still he gave everything for a 3-0 lead. But we shouldn't take anything from Boston though, and that's why they have 4-1 score against Miami/Cavs and 4-0 against Haliburton.

Even if Butler/Mitchell/Haliburton is healthy, I think the Celtics will still continue to win that series but perhaps the score could be much closer and not almost a sweep.

Now they are just waiting for their opponents, and as what we are seeing, with the Mavs leading 3-0, this could be the first time for Luka to go and move in the finals and gave this franchise another chance to win a NBA title.

Luka has been carrying that injury since the OKC series, so I think he is fine. My concern is Lively; he is out in Game 4, but hopefully, he'll be back for the NBA Finals if Dallas ends the series today. I'm not saying the Celtics won't win even with healthy opponents, it's just that they have had an easy route to the finals because their opponents missed their star players.

Dallas vs. Celtics, I can say it's a 50-50 game, although sportsbooks would offer odds that favor the Celtics as the favorite to win the series. That's why I like to back Dallas. I am impressed with their defense; everyone plays hard, and I think they deserve a championship.

If ever that Dallas will end the series today it would be interesting to see if which team will win the title,  both are deserving after reaching the finals, and as per my opinion,  aside from luka and Kylie, JT and JB also hunger for the title both young superstars are really aiming for this a second time that they'll reached the finals hoping that it will be their time now, though still not done in terms of west finalist still got game to finish for the Mavs after the game or after it's completed then that's the best time to discuss the potential of who will be crown for this seasons Champ!

It boils down as who will be the healthier and hungrier team, the team that wants the championship more than the other. JT though is not his usual offensive, missed his outside shots in the series against Pacers and it was really Brown, so he deserves to get the vote as the MVP.

On the other hand, look at the Mavs, their mentality of their leader, Luka and Kyrie, it's contagious, and there are still players who we haven't seen getting their numbers Josh Green or Exum which could also help the Mavs against the Boston Celtics. But I do agree, Lively is a great rookie, but if he is injured against the series in Boston for the finals, it will be a big loss for the Mavs.

I know all of those handicaps that those teams have got. I am in the impression that if Butler is there and Miami was healthy, they'd sure beat Celtics. We know that they are the cryptonite of this team.

But it is not the problem of Celtics when those teams have got handicaps.

As they say, a healthy team gets it to the finals.

Well, that's the spirit.

Hopefully they can win at least one game to avoid embarrassment, but at this point I think we’re all ready to call the Finals between Dallas and Boston. Should be a good series.
This is most likely the finals will be. There is no debate with it and if the Minnesota Timberwolves will be able to get some wins, it might just be 1 and a max of 2 wins.

But then after that, they've just prolonged the series and then will still defeated. No one gets back from that deficit in either west or east conference.

I mean what do you expect the guy to say.  He was awesome in that Adam Sandler movie, but that's seems to be pretty much what he's like in real life.  He's very cock/arrogant.  Problem is he's going up against two superstars who aren't going to relinquish shit, they are up 3 games.  I could maybe see them winning 1 game (the wolves that is) but nothing past that.  This belongs to the Mavs.
