No real way to ensure or to be sure about that as there's always users whith 100% positive rating that can place fraudulent/hacked transfers to your account..

This has always been the case with any similar service that has ever existed, going all the way back to VirWox (note the linked article is outdated as VirWox closed back in 2020). If this was the case with a seller, then their rating probably wouldn't be 100% positive anymore, innit.

At this level, in the case of (hacked) bank transfer for example and if is in addition operated under an authority with no clear point of view/directives regarding crypto-currencies you have like 99% of chances to get jailed!

Hardly. What would happen is the seller gets their account closed or limited by whatever service they are using, which may or may not affect the funds received by the buyer.

While it's true that you can never be sure, I can say from my experience that it's almost unheard of for a reputable buyer to suddenly start using hacked/stolen funds. People value their reputation and the freedom it gives to pursue more trading options when they need them.

What's measures are you offering regarding the name of the trader (to ensure there is no third parties evolved in the trade).. for example for bank / wallets transfers..
Do you display the traders names on the trade page, or ask the seller to report the name of the depositor at the end of the trade for example ??

There is no platform-enforced real name verification mechanism. Every seller uses their method, which not only prevents scammers from finding a way to cheat the system, but also allows sellers to apply their own risk assessments and screen their buyers proportionally to their own risk tolerance

Not very helping when a seller don't want/envisage to create an offer and want just to make quickly one single or small trade !

True, though if you go with a high-reputation buyer it's very unlikely you'll be scammed.

Interested on this service but with some inquiries since I experience a scam attempt on one of the P2P exchange that I use before. You can read my full story here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.62073920. In an event that one party pull a scam attempt by providing fake screen shot of receipt through photo editing and fake sms notification.

What will be your protocol on handling this case? Is there an arbitrage that will be assign real time to assist us immediately. Also in an event that the other party stay silent, how long the duration for waiting before the case will be close? Good to see our local currency is available in the website but I’m worried since there’s a lot of scammer on our local even with good trust rating. Some of them is faking the transaction through farming it by themselves.

Is there a plan to add stablecoin? The price spread on buy and sell on Bitcoin and XMR is so high in our local currency. Stablecoin might be less price spread.

Sorry to hear this happened to you. It's crazy that their staff accepted a *screenshot* as sufficient evidence. We never accept screenshots as evidence, we use a multitude of different ways to verify both sides' evidence. I can't reveal them publicly because that'll make it easier for scammers to cheat them, but I can assure you that we have multiple layers of evidence verification procedures and we would never accept a screenshot or any other easily editable data as evidence. The other side will generally be given a deadline of 24 hours to respond if they are unresponsive. There is no fixed rule, however. We treat it on a case-by-case basis, making sure to take into account the legitimate interests of both sides.

We generally catch and shut down accounts that do reputation farming, but if you found someone who you find suspicious you can report it to us through any of our support channels and we'll investigate.

Currently no plans to add stablecoins as base assets, but we don't rule it out.

@LocalMonero: Would it make sense to add an additional filter search for offers that do not ask for KYC procedures in their TOT (Terms of Trade)? For example this seller[1] is asking for full KYC procedure in order to make a trade with him but this one[2] doesn't ask for that information. I understand that one could open each trade and see each seller TOT's, but for someone whose aim is to only make trades with no KYC procedures, I suppose such option would be interesting to have to automatically filter out trades that are not of interest to a buyer.

This is a great way for people to buy and sell crypto specifically in countries where crypto is banned. In my country even today there was news circulating on news channels that government is planning to impose more restrictions on crypto.
I wonder the evil that cryptocurrency has done to deserve such attack on all sides by the government.

I tried AgroDesk on mobile website and I liked the fact they don't even required my email to register. So I am totally anonymous there. Moreover as a buy or seller I can directly interact with other sellers or buyers can choose mode of payment. This is just what we required.
Haven gotten such anonymity with a convenient trading platform like AgoraDesk I think it would be good of you to share the idea about AgoraDesk to your fellows in your country. One thing inevitable I know is that the government can't entirely end p2p trading no matter how much they try. It's the right of a people to enjoy privacy and that's part of  what AgoraDesk exchange is doing.

They can impose whatever they can, but they can't stop p2p trading.

That is one of the basics a truly p2p service should have.

Binance P2P still works in my country but they have our data and can hand it over to government anytime. Though till date binance is not giving any data to our government.

I tried to open a trade but other party was not responding. I think it will take some time before more and more people will join in and everyone can  have trade in his country or area of choice.

Good afternoon.
Today I decided to try out the service. Before that, I used only Binance p2p.
I was pleasantly surprised by how large and convenient the service is, as well as the fact that there was a high-quality translation into Russian.
The Tor browser was not needed, everything worked in a regular Chrome browser. Also I try to come into Tor version, it works well for me. (Russian provider + vpn).

The service does not require any data, even email is not needed.
Further screenshots will be on Russian, but I will describe what I did, so I think those who have at least heard about p2p services will understand everything. Also, a little later I will add a Russian translation to this review, if needed.
I am a Belarusian, and I saw that the service works with Belarus. That's cool. Probably Russians can try to withdraw money to cards in this way. Most likely, the rubles will simply be converted. I haven't tried this yet, but I can because I have cards of a both countries.

For familiarization, I chose the purchase of Monero through BTC. At page was shown a list of sellers, with a percentage of transactions. Everything is convenient and clear.

The first seller who came across was ready to work with minimal amounts. This is good, and this has rarely happened on Binance p2p.

The exchange rate of cryptocurrencies was the same as everywhere else, no unpleasant surprises or deception.

As usual on such sites, the following were described: the algorithm of my actions, the conditions of the seller. He even described about btc network commisions I would need to include in the payment. As you know, its very huge now, so I did not complete the deal, limiting my acquaintance at this point. So I cancel it. I could appreciate the seller's work, which is nice.

The service left a very positive impression, and I will use it later to withdraw to a bank card. Thanks to the AgoraDesk team for the service, which is a powerful alternative to all p2p services.

There must be something wrong with your Tor connection, we haven't received any other complaints, it should be working fine (http://2jopbxfi2mrw6pfpmufm7smacrgniglr7a4raaila3kwlhlumflxfxad.onion/)
Mine works just fine

Maybe he definitely has a problem with his browser, device or Internet service provider

P.S. We don't serve Russian residents at the moment.
I do see some offers in RUB thou (http://2jopbxfi2mrw6pfpmufm7smacrgniglr7a4raaila3kwlhlumflxfxad.onion/nojs/buy-bitcoin-with-rub)?

Thanks for the report! These are pre-existing offers that are being closed.

Friends, all of our images were hosted on Imgur and today Imgur stopped serving files uploaded without registration.

Images in the thread will be updated as soon as possible.

Thanks for the feedback! The buyer is, in fact, responsible for the network tx fee, because the buyer is the one that chooses the fee level (if the seller had to bear the costs of the buyer's selected fee level then the buyer has no reason not to choose the highest fee every time). We warn about this on the screen prior to the trade opening. Do you think we could've made it more clear somehow?

This makes sense, and with XMR the fee is so low its basically an inconsequential amount that needs to be paid.

I do see that it says

Quote
Network transaction fees associated with settling the trade will be deducted from the trade amount, meaning you'll receive slightly less than the amount shown.

but for whatever reason I could not enter my entire balance as the trade amount. Regardless, once I figured out I needed to choose a slightly smaller amount, it worked fine.

The LocalCryptos import is impossible at the moment, unfortunately, as the reputation can't be reliably extracted due to the shutdown.
Thank you for the response.

Yeah, just checked it, and it's now completely off, which is so sad. It was still on a few weeks back. There goes my Localcryptos reputation, since I used to use it unlike Paxful and localbitcoins
