This is the sort of stuff that makes me appreciate sites like BTCGOSU way more than crappy review sites looking to make a quick buck. Learnt some new stuff which I wasn't aware of through your article.

Anyone with a half-decent brain can tell that Betnomi is a scam site and their team members hilariously failed to change people's minds through their refund tactics in order to promote their new site(Basebet.io).

OK, that's why they opened this topic and pretended to have started compensating their users. They didn't want those users to go after them and ask for their money in their new casino. Roll Eyes

Plus efialtis, a minor edit for the news/blog. It said that Betnomi's "scheduled maintenance" started on July 2nd, 2024. Was it in 2022 or 2023?

Very predictable. Thanks for the heads-up.
I believe it has already been established and talked about how they had intentions to continue to their operations with a different name within the market for bets and gambling, though, I took more than I expected for them to try to white wash what happened here. I guess they tried to wait for a bit some people started to move on from this mess and some who do not actually know the full history of what happened here could deposit on them wallets and risk their money to be stolen.

Call it wishful thinking, but if they wanted to, they could have been transparent and say they intended to use the earning coming from the operation of that new service to eventually pay those who lost their money to Betnomi. i am sure if there was enough transparency in the process, then people could have been willing to wait some months to get their money back. But whatever... It is always easier to ignore the problem and try to start "fresh".
Also, the fact they have decided to continue to go with a relatively opaque approach with this his service they intend to get support to is already a clear red flag for anyone who may be willing to deposit any significant amount on money again. What a shame, this was one of the most recognizable new casinos here in BBT and how this is how it all ends...

Just checked out their site and it really looks similar.
According to the live feed of the "latest bets" they already have some players active at their site, not a lot of action though compared to other site's "latest bets" section. There are like 3 players currently popping up in, so many.  Grin
Since they are confirmed scammers I wouldn't be surprised if they hat bots playing in games to pretend there are actually people playing at the site, haha.

Once a scammer always a scammer.

Before they become popular here, They are just some random mediocre casino that has a lot of bots playing in there. They just manage to become popular after some major improvements with their brand and tons of promotion here but they struggle for a long time before they manage to become successful.

So I think it’s very hard for them to regain that kind of popularity since their reputation is already tainted here which they begin. Bots is the only user that contributes to their current wager hoping that more user will be attracted. Let’s keep attacking Betnomi brand to basebet brand to expose their scam.

The new name is BaseBet.io, and it's very similar to the old site, as far as I can see it has the same games as before.

A few members were refunded, but some were not... and where are all those who don't know about this forum? Those who are really interested can read the last few pages and everything will be clearer.

I'm going to stay away from the new site... I wasn't harmed by what Bethnomy did, but I believe it's very bad and there's a possibility that it will happen with the new site. So why risk playing in the new Betnomi casino when we have many other casinos around that are far more trustworthy?

Well, since there have been no response from them for a long time now and no news of any new refund I’m guessing that they have finally decided to give up on their little scheme.
So far we havent heard out something from them whether they do really have the plans on trying out to resolve the issue that they do have with those unpaid users or not. I have forgotten on whats the name of their new site? ...

Jack of all trades 💯

My personal theory is they wanted to have some months in advantage so they could launch their new casino and see if there was any possibility to accumulate enough profit to further whitewash their imagine with more refunds, either that or they just wanted more time for them to boost their new casino without having any real intentions to pay those affected.

In any way, the gambling community did not deserve this...

This would have worked if the community were a bit less concerned about the issue but I guess it took them by surprise the way users came to the thread and started to unveil their plan. They even paid some of those user with little balance in their account so they could at least have some to back them up and confirm that they received their money back but banned those with large amount in their account.

So far we havent heard out something from them whether they do really have the plans on trying out to resolve the issue that they do have with those unpaid users or not. I have forgotten on whats the name of their new site? I cant be able to find out on trying to back read it out. If ever they are really that putting up more focus into this new platform but havent been able to clear up on the mess that they had made then that new site would really be that good as dead. The community wont really be stopping or cant really be able to stop on making those kind of feedbacks in correlation with Betnomi pending issues.
If ever that new site would really be making up some noise then pretty sure that people would really be that making those complaints that would really be dug up.
They would really be needing up to clear it first but well it seems that they dont have any plans on doing it.
They try to trick people by putting a solve  word on the thread so that people could see that issue is done while the real situation happened is they are not yet done with this and still there are still people claiming that they didn't get any refund from them. Also maybe they try to execute this since they have some intention to promote something and come clean so they can launch their new casino smooth without getting bothered by those issues happened here. If they are really serious then I guess they should find ways to locate those people which still have balance on their casino and refund them. But they cannot expect that everything will be fine even if they can refund them since there's a huge damage has been done and for sure a lot of people will still skeptical to use their casino since a lot of people don't like to experience another bad faith on the casino who already compromise them.

Evidences, right. By the way, do you have any solid evidence that someone wasn't refunded? Have those people, higher ranked  or not, provided evidences of them depositing their money on the site or just having it there? If yes, show them to me and I will change my mind if they are convincing.
OP admitted himself that they haven't refunded all the victims. Check the scam accusation of Stayzor, he has provided the evidence of his deposits. I'm not here to convince you. The truth is in front of everyone, but you have kept your one eye close as you got the refund. We are not talking about the past of Betnomi. They had spent a good amount of money here in the forum to obtain the reputation. You have to see what they did before the start of the downtime (unusual things had started at least one month before the downtime) and after that (until now).

That was when BaseBet recently "surfaced", which basically betnomi with a different name. They used all of betnomi's template, only changing the name. That statement I made that they claimed to be under GC [365/JAZ] was because of it, that they copied betnomi's template, with the seal of validation obviously missing since it'll show as invalid [different website above every other possible reason]
I got your point, but it looks like Sorsis is silently watching our discussions. He has added the master license clause again on Basebet, he has also added the license validator link of Gaming-curacao (available on desktop mode only).

They very likely gave up on their alledged plan to give more of the money back to their gamblers, Thurs why they decided to mark this thread as solved and called it a day. If they had intentions to continue to pay those who lost more money, they would have not done such a thing and close the issue as Solved. It is quite obvious and easy to see through their true intentions, if one pays attention to the signals and cues they gave.

I kinda started to suspect something was wrong when did not decide to be transparent enough and publish some public document on the number of accounts they were going to give money back and also with the amount attracted to it. It was kind of simple to do in a spread sheet, but they chose not to do so, since it would have likely give an idea on how much it was stolen and how much they were supposed to refund to the victims of this event. When there is lack of transparency, one cannot wait for anything good, regardless there is a casino involved or not.
Well, if you ask me, I would say that I think they did not change their mind on anything, they never really had any intention of paying back the money they stole, what they did was try to use the same strategy that 1xbit used to try  to gain sympathy from the community, and also gain trust from the community, that is, make us believe that what they did wasnt really their intention, and most importantly, confuse newbies visiting the forum for the first into believing that they can be trusted, specially when the newbie comes to this thread and see the solved status, many of them won't bother reading comments here but will just move on to conclusion that what ever issue that this was has already been solved.

And concerning them not being transparent from the onset, that I agree with you completely, this is also a good reason for us all to believe that this guys never had any intention of paying their users whose money they stole, if they had any intention of refunding the money they stole, they possibly would have, (at the initial stage) be transparent with all their dealings in regards to their plan to refund their users back their money.

I stand with Ukraine.
Well, I've read your post and the more I think of it, the more complicated it seems. I mean, let's take a look at your list of refunded/non-refunded people. Among the 2 refunded ones are myself and @AHOYBRAUSE. I know myself, obviously, and I know AHOYBRAUSE. He joined this forum on February 02, 2022, and has managed to collect 661 merits since then. Pretty impressive, huh? In the list of non-refunded users, on the other hand, there are only newbies I've heard nothing about until this day.
Does it really matter whether the complaints are from newbie user or higher ranked user of Bitcointalk forum? How many high rollers have an account on Bitcointalk? There are thousands of people wagering millions of dollars in different crypto casino regularly. Are they required a higher ranked account to make their complaints reliable here in the forum (if they ever create any accusation)? Evidences are the most important thing here. Sorsis hasn't refunded the funds of those users who had big amount.

So, what would you think about this Betnomi situation being in my place?
Betnomi is still a scam. I wouldn't defend them if I were in your place. Because everything they did was scammish. They have only refunded $400 to you, and a small amount to AHOYBRAUSE. The confirmed refund amount is quite small.

Are you sure about this? Maybe read at least Trusted feedback on Betnomi on this forum. They've got positive trust from such known and respected people of this forum as: GazetaBitcoin, TopTort777, cygan, willi9974, bitbollo, aoluain, famososMuertos, icopress, jayce. And those respected members who have given them negative trust just don't know that the issue has actually been solved.

...

I think I must tell my personal story of relations with Betnomi here. Back in 2021 they sponsored Bitcointalk Poker Series which I won

and together with some other my winnings it was more than $700

which I withdrew from the site without any problems. Then I'd been playing on their new site for some time, and at the time they had disappeared I had around $350 in BTC and ETH on their platform. It took some time and I admit it was worrisome for me after months had passed, but I believed in them(see my posts in this thread) and they have refunded me everything(more than $400 in BTC and ETH because the currencies had risen in value at the time).

Now, that's what I think you should do for those who were kind to you (more than once) when mountains of unfounded accusations arise against them: you should defend them. That's what I think.

So, what would you think about this Betnomi situation being in my place?
If you read the last couple of pages in this thread thoroughly, you would understand why so many members including myself have all come to the same conclusion that Betnomi is a scam site and their new project is dead on arrival most probably.

Bigger scam sites like 1xbit refunded small amounts to some customers too, but never refunded big amounts. Also, judging complaints solely on the basis of forum ranking is silly and dumb.
We can really be able to make out such conclusion on which Betnomi is really that a scam now. If we do tend to look at that they arent that making any response which do signifies that they dont really care on clearing up their name but instead they do keep silent and even having that kind of recommendation with their new site on which same as you said that this one would really be good as dead or dead on arrival specially if they wont really be tending to clear up their name with their old site Betnomi. Yes, they might be able to repay up some users but for sure there are really just that those small
amounts but for those bigger ones and having some still post about not getting paid then this shows that they arent still cleared up.

Their weird team member(OP) who kept posting like a fool on their behalf stopped posting in this thread too for sometime now. Everything lines up.

After being busted that they only refunded small deposits that is active on this thread while leaving the whale players that is silent, they start the silent mode since they knew that their scheme is already exposed because they already concluded this matter as solved while many complaints arise about unable to receive the refund.

I think they are just relying on the title of this thread so that those who will search about the background of this casino will think they come clean by just referring only on the title since only few have the patience to read the whole discussion on this thread for newbie.

We can petition this thread to remove the “solved” title to the admin.

Good theory. This makes a lot of sense and it's what I thought too when they announced their new site sometime back. It clearly didn't pan out properly for them though which is why they don't bother sticking to this strategy.

What It still does not make sense to me is why they bothered to hype and keep expectations high on refunds during months if they did not intend to actually refund money to all those gamblers who lost it. One thing is to have people like those in the scam casino 1xbit, who are willing to carry out small refunds from the beginning, but while would this casino drag along the issue of refunds for entire months?
They could have done exactly what 1xbit did and just take a few days to refund those who did not have much balance in their accounts and call it a day.
My personal theory is they wanted to have some months in advantage so they could launch their new casino and see if there was any possibility to accumulate enough profit to further whitewash their imagine with more refunds, either that or they just wanted more time for them to boost their new casino without having any real intentions to pay those affected.
