Those who already expereinced such kind of events understand that they need to be thankful for what they've achieved, instead of moving forward they will quit and be satisfied with that decent amount of earnings, and like what you mentioned, greed always penetrate inside you, if you follow such emotions, then those earnings will be useless as you will continue to play and will lose it back together with your initial deposits.

It's very important to control greed and if possible to limit yourself, placing targets both on your winning and losing target will helps you preventing doing the same mistake over and over.
