It appears that Bayern's authorities saw something that no other coach who coached Bayern before him did. It genuinely surprises me to see this happen. I am sure that many are beginning to wonder if Bayern is going for something unforeseen.

The difference is like sky and earth, even though both of them are the youngest coaches in the Bundesliga, their achievements are very far apart. It's possible that this was an emergency decision taken by Bayern Munich considering that they didn't have much time because so many of the coaches they were targeting actually rejected the offers.

However, sometimes this decision is very risky for Bayern Munich and they have to be prepared for the worst possible situation. They are certainly aware of that and they can't do anything other than fire Vincent Kompany again even though they failed in the middle of the season. Xabi Alonso is a newcomer who has taken European football by storm and of course he will stay at Leverkusen considering that he also wants to test how far his abilities will go if not now.

Munich attempted to duplicate Leverkusen's gamble on the youthful coach and this probably a sense reason why bayern munich took kompany. Kompany's achievement merely helped Burnley qualify for the EPL and it's not even more than it. Except for this, he has made no other notable achievements. They treated this as if they were playing football manager. This will not be a good choice for Bayern since certain players may feel superior to their coach. Bayern has once again made a dangerous option. I am confident they will not win the Bundesliga again under Kompany.

Xabi Alonso has given Leverkusen his best this season. The reason is that Xabi is just his first in the main league, and is an interesting challenge for the big clubs in the German league. And Liverkusen broke Bayern Munich's record of winning the Bundesliga for several seasons.
