According to some papers next week will be the week of Adrian Newey.

Accordon to the rumors he will announce what he will do next year and the same rumors spoken about a big offer from Mercedes including shares of the company.

It should be Ferrari, Mercedes or Mclearen.

Ocon also got a lot of negativity on himself after the accident he caused during Monaco Grand Prix. He says that they aren't robots and he is sad after seeing the comments related to him.

But why would you try to attack your teammate in a place like this?  Huh  There was no need to force this overtake on such a tight track especially against his teammate.

Alpines were in a good place to push for points in the end after a horrible start to the season. Ocon should have acted more professionally there. I know he is ambitious but he should act smarter than that.

Bagnaia has won the sprint race superior and safe, for Martin very bitter, it is only 12 points but Bagnaia has made up 12 points by the not really necessary crash, as well as Marc has made up 9 points.

Now it's full concentration for tomorrow, if Bagnaia wins the start, it could turn out similar to today and Bagnaia pulls away like today.
Today's results are certainly extraordinary for Bagnaia because he could not be overtaken by other riders after starting the Sprint from second place. However, for tomorrow Bagnaia will have to fight harder because he will serve a penalty by dropping three grids from his proper position, but I think he can definitely win again tomorrow if he doesn't make any mistakes in the race.

To catch up on the difference in points with Martin, and race in front of his supporters, I am sure that tomorrow Bagnaia will be champion again, but keep in mind that Martin and M Marquez will provide fierce competition, maybe all three. The racers are Bagnaia, Martin and M Marquez who will climb the podium but Bagnaia remains number 1
With more laps for tomorrow, of course each rider must be able to adapt themselves to the tires they will use, because if they make a mistake in maintaining tire wear it could also be quite fatal for all three. I am also quite sure that these three riders will compete fiercely because I remember that Martin still wants to widen the points gap with Bagnaia and Marquez.

I have to say Kylian M'Bappe did a very good job when waving the chequered flag at the end of the Monaco Grand Prix. I believe it is quite difficult to do it the correct way when everyone is looking at you. There have been many people that did it incorrect.

Mugello an absolute classic track and one of the most technical regarding the MotoGP calendar.Since there is no F1 tomorrow the best next thing is exactly MotoGP and seeing how the gap has closed between many drivers in these last couple of races it means that it should be an interesting race tomorrow with the straight being a great point of overtaking yet I remember the times of Valentino Rossi and alike when they used to even overtake in the narrow back to back turns that are very beautiful in the beginning of the track of course if the track has not changed,as I remember it being a very nice one.

I am interested to see what Marquez can actually do more than anything else.

Francesco Bagnana got a penalty of 3 position in the starting grid for obstructing Alez Marquez during the free practice of Friday.
I don't think it is a big deal, this is not formula 1 and in MOTOgp you can easily overtake especially in this track.

However side news, rain is expected for Sunday.

If Bagnaia qualifies well, the three places are not a big obstacle in the MotoGP, as you already wrote, the Ducati is very fast on the long straight in Mugello and overtaking from the slipstream is absolutely possible, except in front of you there are only Ducatis 🤣.

Just checked the probability of rain tomorrow is about 50%, could possibly be a flag-to-flag race.

The last Monaco GP in Formula 1 showed us that this circuit should disappear from the calendar and be remembered as a nostalgia. We saw very few passes in the many laps of this race, the new cars and the Monaco GP are not compatible. Leclerc finished the whole race protecting his tires and won at home. It was the first time a Monaco driver finished the race in front. The race was very boring but hopefully Ferrari's points will bring some excitement to F1. Perez's accident showed us once again that the drivers are safe in those cars.

Finally, Leclerc finally broke his jinx and won a race after a long time, running a flawless race at home. He didn't make any mistakes, kept his hard tires at a great pace the whole race and saw the checkered flag without a pit stop. There's a big improvement at Ferrari.

Bagnaia is currently dominating practice at Mugello, we'll have to wait and see if he can do the same in the races.

He should have a very good weekend to keep up the pressure against Martin. I wouldn't put it past him after his last win.

Bagnaia dominated today's two test sessions at his home circuit at Mugello.

His Ducati seems to come from another world for this track.
At least a top 3 can be expected for the driver in the race.

Marc Marquez continues to be faster than at least a 2024 DUCATI with his 2023 bike, I assume he is Bagnaia's destined partner for next year.

Well if he continues to be faster with a 2023 bike since his first year at Ducati then most likely for next season if he indeed goes to the officila Ducati team I doubt Bagnaia will have good chances to beat him as a team mate although anything can happen. In the last couple of races that I saw it was Marquez recovery that has made these races somewhat interesting otherwise they have been quite monotone races without much action, kinda like watching a F1 race nowadays.

I am wondering how come the Japanese manufacturers are not fighting back to their glorious days when they used to dominate and they are letting Ducati have all the fun.The sooner they wake up the better for the motorsport.

Life, Love and Laughter...
so not it is official.
RBR with their boss asked several time to Sebastia Vettel to be the second driver for the next year in Redbull over Checo Perez.

What do you think?
He was already in team with Verstappen if I'm not mistaken.

Wdym?  Vettel?  No...  It was him and Ricciardo.  And when the dynamic between them started becoming iffy, with the team favoring Ricciardo more, Vettel left.  But left for a good team with a better offer money wise.  Ricciardo on the other hand was partnered with Verstappen.  And what Ricciardo did to to Vettel, Verstappen did to him.  Grin  So Ricciardo left but not for a better team and not with a better contract.  Cheesy Cheesy  It was down hill for him since then.

But I'd by sooo happy if Vettel really comes back, not matter what team it is.  Would like to see him with Toto Wolff at Merc tbh.

But keep in mind that Max do not want a contender his comfort zone look like to be with a week teammate.
He never had, or wanted a strong team mate.

The ones he had when they weren't good went sacked by RBR.

This is why Red Bull is prioritizing a 1-year contract extension with Perez lately  Smiley : https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/perez-closing-on-red-bull-f1-contract-extension/10616482/

Fans must be going crazy with this decision though.  Tongue  Because those people want to see Red Bull as strong as possible. But obviously continuing with Perez isn't the wisest action to take. I'm not blaming the accident in Monaco on him though. Don't get me wrong. I'm speaking about his general performance. He starts a season well but then the downfall starts again...

If Red Bull wanted a competitive driver by overlooking Verstappen's expectation I guess the first candidate would be Sainz.

After watching FP1 for the Italian MotoGP at Mugello today I saw that the Aprilia ridden by Vinales was in first place and was followed by the Japanese factory motorbike, namely the Yamaha, ridden by Quartararo. Meanwhile, Morbidelli was in third place and it was a little strange to see a Yamaha in second place because Japanese motorbikes had not dominated the front row for a long time in the last two years. But it would be very interesting if Yamaha could return to being competitive this season again against other spectacular motorbikes such as Ducati, KTM and Aprilia.

Nope, they weren't teammates. Back then there was Ricciardo, Gasly and Albon.
I'm very sceptical about Vettel's return. He wasn't racing for few years and when he was still at Aston Martin, he already was beyond his prime. Doubt that he would perform better than Perez or potentially Ricciardo.

Agree with this, Vettel is past his prime and I think that he will likely have difficulty adapting to the current F1 environment, which is filled with young people who have a pretty good mentality. It would be much better for Vettel to be able to follow in Rosberg's footsteps, who prefers to develop the business and support young racing talents to be able to compete in various racing events, compared to having to return to F1 and compete with these young people. Vettel should enjoy his retirement better and no longer need to enter F1 racing because his time is over.

I hope Marc Marquez will be able to perform better especially for the qualification so he can have better start position.
With the result of the 2 previous races where Marc start from 13 and 14 but he managed to take one of the podium so I think the race will be much more interesting if Marc start the race from the front row.
Something that may not be able to done by other riders IMO, so it was really amazing performance from Marc.
Ducati riders will dominate the race again at Mugello but I want to see Acosta to be breaker for the Ducati domination.
Acosta still needs to try several things to be able to continue to disrupt the front row even though he is a rookie in MotoGP this season and for the Mugello race as seen in recent years, Ducati still has better dominance and the Italian riders will also try to be the best as Bagnaia has shown in the last few seasons. I also hope that the Mugello race this time can be quite fierce because remember there are several strong riders at the moment, but Mugello is the home of Ducati and also other Italian riders and Aprilia will also try to get a better position in the Mugello race this weekend.

Seb could be a good candidate, not in his prime anymore so probably slower, very peaceful guy.
