That would create a slippery slope. Don't get me wrong: I don't particularly like rude language, but it's part of the freedom this forum offers. If you start censoring this, you'll get moderation based on subjective interpretations. Freedom of speech means you can't choose that certain speech isn't allowed.

I agree, it has all the appearance of a spark, things start to escalate and in the end the two protagonists instead of de-escalating what they do is find more and more arguments to get angrier, justifying themselves in long posts.

I don't know either of the two protagonists of the story but from a distance it seems that it has nothing to do with trading risk and I hope that in time it will end with both of them deleting the red tags or changing them to neutral, as we have seen other times in the forum.

That's what I hope too. About the retaliation, I don't still understand really well the DT thing, but as DdmrDdmr has taught us in the Spanish board, and as mentioned above, Trust system is not meant for that, but it is still used that way.

Anyway, what's past is past. We are all humans (after all... beautiful song).

I check this thread just about every week and occasionally make adjustments to my trust list based on the information therein; would be happier to see the number of names on this list going down rather than up.

Ratimov's plagiarism loophole has been discussed before, in several topics. He didn't get banned for it, which means Mods think it's okay. If Mods think it's okay, who am I to disagree?
Bad and rude language is allowed, and shouldn't be a reason for negative feedback either. The same for retaliation feedback.
