Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
I hope you are not quite excited about this news? I know the American has some patterns they do things out of greed but that should not be our major concern. We can make the world a better place for us if we really want to be leave happily rather the instigating fear and hatred among people that have the pure heart to do good. The government could be the major problem not the citizens.
If a particular government is bad or trying things too much, it could affect the citizens and that do not mean that everyone of them is bad.

Again, the supporters of stricter laws about guns will scream that we need to limit the people's access to weapons. I will say that the reason is not the weapon. People who use weapons in such situations mentally abnormal. In China or Japan and there are mass killings with a knife.

It has been this way since the beginning, just imagine the stone age where they caved weapons out if rock, men gought wars and committed genocide with mere stone and imagine how direct such actions were, and same thign in our generation, it's it's easy to kill with a gun all you need to do is pull the trigger and boom Someone is dead, no matter the laws introduced and as long as weapons remains legal, incidents like this won't be the last.

Are you even aware you are replying to a post which was published here in the forum about 6 years ago?  Roll Eyes

Leaving that little fact to one side, I don't believe this comparisons with the United States and other countries where people use knives and other melee weapons to kill as many people as possible are valid. Knives and other sharp tools serve a purpose beyond the capabilities they have to be used as weapons. Besides, it is obvious the amount of death and destruction which can be potentially achieved by a knife cannot be compared to what an assault rifle can do.
During a mass attack with a knife, in the worst case scenario, there will be less than a dozen (or even less) people killed and several injured. Guns in general, since they are tools specifically designed to kill, can cause more casualties before anyone can do anything to stop the attacker.

I am not against the right of the people to defend themselves if they need to, but one cannot allow mentally ill people to wield weapons like those in the name of freedom and conservative values.

Mh. It is not a coincidence all these lastest news being posted here are about people being victims of gun Violence in the United States.
The way it's being posted here, it really looks like US is a chaotic nation in a state of civil war where people are murdering each other on the streets indiscriminately. However, news posted here are too little when compared to the total number of citizens of the country. Moreover, murders are happening everywhere in the world all day long. In fact, USA ranks only 76º in the spreadsheet of "homicide rate (per 100k people)". Top 1 is El Salvador, followed by Jamaica and Lesotho.

Of course, mass shootings and murders are unacceptable, shouldn't exist at all and its practice must be heavily fought back by every socities. The point is that there are nations much more dangerous to live than USA, which usually the media doesn't talk about, because it's more interesting to focus in USA, since there is an anti-gun agenda to push forward. There is also another detail to pay attention to regards tyranical countries where informations aren't clear, legit and open, so it's hard to measure their real numbers for real.

Are you sure El Salvador is within the Top 3 of the ranking about rate of murder/criminality worldwide? Because from the impressions I have gotten from Bukele's crackdown against organized and gang crime, it would seem the rate of criminality in that country has decreased significantly (or at least that is what I have heard on the news). Anyways, keeping that to one side, I totally understand why the news from the United States and related to guns are easier to find and quickly picked up by the media, when compared to the news of violence goin on in other countries. The USA is the political center of the planet (whether we like it or not) and one of the few countries where people has the explicit right to arm themselves, so there is more relevance to talk about violence happening there than violence happening abroad.

Some unfortunate happening going on in other countries would need to be specially deadly to make it to the news, as in the case of the horrible terrotist attack which took place in Russia yesterday.

Also, perhaps it is not all about a lobby or coordinated effort to get rid of the Americans to carry guns around, but the voices of people who have lost family members in mass shootings who are not longer willing to live in a society where violence is becoming normalized.

When men has spears they used it to kill each other, when we had no form of knowledge and technology, can used a stone to kill his brother abel, human has always had sin in us waiting to take advantage of our insecurities and show us or true nature the nature Adam had inherited from obeying his new father Satan and making us flesh, this same battle great men of old had continued to fight untill this day when our master JESUS had done a clean and perfect finished work, no one can work in absolute self control or righteousness except by the Holy spirit, he is your power given to all those that believe and its the only way to save humanity from broken power and systems that are only making things worst. We can't keep trying to fix internal problems from outside and this time I mean problems of the soul, the only way for this world to have peace and totally eradicate madness is to live in the Spirit and that is fact.

Give your life to christ.

Men people abuse thigns like drugs just make themselves feel good despite knowing the consequences, nobody loves themselves talk less about loving another, I know the gun rule was put for protection but you can't give a dogs iron teeth and expect he won't bite someone legs off and these peopel are going through all kinds of stress and some are suffering from really bad mental state and clearly therapy isn't doing any good. The only way that humans can ever be stable is if we all surrender to Jesus and be saved, or the holy spirit can bring stability to your soul and save you from the body of sin.

Give your life to Jesus and be exempted from death.

To this point, it is scary to think how many of the people of that nice and great country have become desensitized to seeing the blood of their own brothers are sisters split on the ground.
I don't have a problem with the Republican Ideas on preserving the right to bear arms, it is an important part of the culture and the social way of living in the United States, but I don't understand why they would oppose to take measures which would bad people to have a rougher way to get access to weapons, for example, closing those loopholes which allow anyone to go gun fairs and get guns without any kind of background check.

Also, there are obvious red flags where could be applied for police and gun vendors to pay attention to, before considering to give such person the chance to buy guns in their establishment. In the 90s there was a ban on assault and high powered weapons in the country and not many people seemed to care about it, nowadsys suggesting to reinstate such ban for the sake of the safety of children in schools and people in general in church's and grocery stores, is quickly taken as an attempt to take people's second amendment rights away from them, which is not true.
